  1. More issue with the Porsche GT3:

This car originally replace Ruf Rturbo. Rturbo has a lower max rpm than the GT3...so now the gauge isn't correct, when it revs more than 8000 rpm the gauge would just point at 10000 rpm. Also the sound, from 8000 rpm to 10000 rpm it stays the same tune. It's a bit annoying....

But the major problem is the performance data. This car is so slow-way too slow to compete with other A2 class car...

  2. I found out that some of the car factors may not be presented in VPE. For example, the handbrake on unfinished vehicles can lock up the rear wheel but there is no option in VPE to lock the rear wheel of a released vehicle. If I export the data of unfinished vehicles and import it to a released vehicle, that specific vehicle would lock the rear wheel when I hold the handbrake.

I added some models to my game via VPE. It is interesting that there might be torque distribution in vehicle data and it is not yet presented in VPE. when I change the drive system to all wheel drive, some vehicles, especially those unfinished ones, would be likely to spin their front or rear tire separately instead of spinning at the same time. I tried to compare those data in all items but I can't find the value that determine the distribution.

So binbow are you still working on VPE? Would you like to engage further investigation on it? :D

  3. Personally I agree with replacing some of the repeated cars, but not for the driving school cars in racing school missions or special reward cars, including "solar crown" cars. Some of those cars have their unique paintjob applied and it is kind of achievement of your story mode career. But those unreleased driving school cars, like the GTR racing school asphalt and 458 racing school asphalt, they are occupying the ids but they are pretty much the same to the model you can buy from the dealers yet you can't drive it in driving school instead you can only spawn it with trainer. These cars can be replaced.Last but not least, some people, like me, love the varity of the same model in the game. I love those Veryons. DBS carbon version is better in detail than the standard one. I'll definately feel sorry if they disappeared. Plus, if someone paid for those DLCs, I suppose he would be sad that the pack takes away his car.

  4. Well another bug report: sometimes I start the program it come up with the error that shows it can't load the db_data.dec. It works fine at most case though.

Btw...I don't really like the new feature that the program delete the dec file when I close it :( got used to the old style

  5. A bug occurred to me. When I changed the tire combination of a car, along with the file name and folder, it appeared to be the original one remained unchanged in game while it showed the changed combination and file name and folder on VPE. Also, sometimes when I want to change some records of Tire/Rim parameters, after clicking apply noting happened. I have to restart the program to make it work again.

I have to mention that I have done tons of modification to my db_data so that I am not sure if it is a bug of VPE or that my db_data is corrupted.

  6. Here I want to share with you guys what I discovered in all items. Obviously few people know about it. It is a very powerful tool

d23: a funny function, which controls the vibration of the exhaust when the car is idle.

d30 & d31 seems to affect the cornering behavior of a vehicle. A higher value tends to make the car understeer.

d94: I'd call it " max rpm damping". When the vehicle is at max rpm with full throttle, if the value of this item is high(like more than 0.5), the rpm will bounce back, like 7500 rpm bouncing back to 6000 rpm and then going up to 7500 and then bounce back.

d99 & d101: these two works together. If the value of d99 is too low the vehicle would sink into ground while braking hard. If the value of d101 is too low while that of d99 is high, the vehicle would bounce badly at high speed or at rough surface. If the value of each is way too low the front or the rear part would sink into ground.

d110/d111 the horizontal angle of the front/rear wheel. No you can't stance your car with this. Neither do hella-flush lol. However they do affect the handling.

[d115] this one is very important. According to my test, all unfinished vehicles which are not able to go fast are with d115=0. If you change d115 to other value it should go faster than 69 km/h.

[d133] also this one is important. Many unfinished cars, are with d133=0, so they have no brakes. Edit this item to a value below 0. The brakes will work.

    d137 & d138: anti roll bar damping.

d140 & d141: automatic gearbox down shift rpm.

    redline_rpm & redline_rpm2 : automatic gearbox shift up rpm.

That's all I know about it. If anyone knows other things about it please tell me :D

And sorry for my bad English I should have worked harder at school :sulk:
