  1. Done close to 280 on the 'ring with Fräulein Schmitz at the wheel, and did 260 in the F40. Hit the limiter on more than a few test-cars, when I've taken them to Germany, which is pretty much a req, when you are doing an auto-review. Fastest I ever took my own car was 200+ on danish roads. Was beat at 1 am on the way home from a homicide story I was doing, and had tomake a deadline. I was 1½ hours out by the speeding limit. Made the 2 am deadline. :)
  2. the ring is so big, there is actually three small towns inside it. So the ambulance will travel partly on the track and partly inside it. Besides this there is a number of stewards around the track who force people to slow down.
  3. I can only recommend. I haven't tried it, but if memory serves, the 328xi is in fact a 3.0 litre engine with 200+ bhp. Not too sure. Never have driven an AWD BMW. Will have to check it out though.
  4. There is a Safety Car all the time, which comes out when accidents happen. Like today:
  5. Uh-oh. That truck is for when someone has crashed. See how the cars are heading back to the parking lot? Hope noone is hurt.
  6. Prize? Thought this was just for bragging rights?
  7. Today is a great day for spotting. White Golf GTI. A classic XJS and what is that cahrcoal thing with gills in the background? And another one for Lewis. This time in Yellow. (On track) Next picture: If I am not mistaken, you can just see the backend of a Carrera GT on the track.
  8. caught this pic just now. Lots of interesting finds, and a special treat for Lewis! We got a Porsche (Red one), Yellow Corvette, A beamer, a golf in the corner. A clio on the track (Silver), what looks like a Peugeot coming off the track and the Green kitcar right in the middle. Anyone else able to identify?
  9. 45 Euros for four laps on the ring. I think it's 12 euros for one.
  10. Yep. It will be the last station marked with a "U", for "User" I suppose? I never listen to anything else.
  11. Would've been better if I had nailed it, but hey. One day off. Not too shabby.
  12. If you're looking for a guitar treat, check out "Riding with the king". BB King and Eric Clapton together. Lots of sweet guitarmusic.
  13. B.B. King. One of the most overlooked guitarists in the world. He is absolutely phenomenal. Also Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits is a high ranker. Jimi was good. No doubt about it and ranks a definete top 10, but those two are just so much better.
  14. Mocking rights is everything. Especially after I got the third place in the last competition, and we are so close!
  15. *crosses fingers* Got noone left to talk into this website. One of my friends who bought TDU sold it again with his Xbox, so he wont be a help. :(
  16. I also sat in a 2002 FerrariFormula One car. I work for a paper here in DK.

    My New Car

    Nice ride mate. Congratulations. :)
  18. Been in: Favourite has to be either a Vanquish or a Ford GT. Been driven in: BMW M5, Dodge Viper, Ferrari 360 Stradale, Lambo Gallardo Driven: Either the F40 or the 911 GT3 Motorjournalism is fun btw ;)
  19. Well to be honest I have been advocating the site a lot, but I do that anyways. Might be working a wee bit harder though, but I'd never actually stoop to serial registering. :)
  20. Heh. I had a friend register today. He used my computer to do it, after I showed him what the site was about. Might be called cheating. Hope not though.
  21. Two major arguments you can use for your parents: 1. The safety is high, because it isn't like a PC that has all sorts of virusses floating about. It is Xbox communicating with Xbox so there are no hazards whatsoever. (They'll eat it.) 2. It is really value for money. You only pay a small amount each month, but it works on every game you own, so instead of needing money for a trip to the movies each month, you will need this instead and it actually saves you money. This is the way I justify it to myself. Hehe. My Dad bought an Xbox solely so we could talk on live without paying for phonecalls. Now he has TDU and other games and my mother thinks he is insane. 12 years after I move out, they start to behave like my kind of people.
  22. Yeah. She's a wee bit dirty, gonna buff and shine over easter. She's from 1983 and has 147000 kilometres under the bonnet. Since I got her in september 2005 I replaced the right rear window after a robbery, the main brake-cylinder has had an overhaul and might need a replacement soon and it has just had the gasket that was blown replaced in the manifold. She absolutely purrs. I love the sound of the Straight-Six when I gun it. Man this car is fun. Expensive, but fun. Getting around 10 km/l as is. When I got it I replaced the front and rear bumpers, and the rims. She had two owners before me. The original one who bought her in germany in September 1983 as she rolled off the assembly line. He sold her four months prior to me buying her and that guy replaced the original rims and bumpers for what turned out to be a poor attempt at pimping the car. It looked awful, so I spent a bit of cash tracking down original bumpers, not remakes, but 1983 ones in good condition, and four rims as well. The hardest thing to find was four hubcaps in good condition. But it was well worth it. The guy who had it before me also installed a crappy Denver radio and blew one of the original speakers. I got a new Blaupunkt radio ready for installation and a new speaker.
