Will atari shut down all the servers from TDU? or can we still have fun in OAHU after tdu 2 is releaseD?

So, it seems that nothing changed since 2007...

I'm planing to buy TDU next month, however, as I heard lots of complaints about the Atari servers, I really want to hear the communty opinion about the status of the TDU online service. Is laggy, buggy, sometimes out of service ? Or almost perfect all the time? What i'm trying to avoid is frequently "out of service" or "servers down" situations. Thanks in advance for any tip. ;]

Any solutions so far ? :( the problem persists.. I could'nt install these generic omega drivers, lots of crashes happend, I installed back the officla nvidia drivers most up to date.. Anybody else in this forum have the XFx 9800 GT ??

Yes, I did it around 3 times. :( And I'm playing the 1.66 version. The old version happened the same. And it's the only game installed in my pc that happens this.

I did that. And as I said, the drivers are all updated! 182.08, and the glitches also ocurred with the previous drivers, and the ones that came in the cd.

A friend of mine got a P4 HT 3.0 with a xfx 9800 GT and 2GB of ram and TDU runs smoothly (55-60 fps) with high detail, HDR and AA4x. I think bottlneck, if existent, don't drop that much the framerate.

Nevermind, I managed to win the race with the Alfa Brera Tuned. I don't even like the this 8C competizione, anyway.. xD

Sorry for the "dumb question", I'm a TDU newbie and I "sold" my Alfa Romeo 8C competizione and now i'm needing it for the alfa romeo events in single player, how can I have it back, since it can't be "regifted" in the alfa romeo shop ? thanks in advance! *If i'm posting this in the wrong place, sorry.

30 fps ? I think you can get more with your rig. set do 1024x768 that you'll get a smoother framerate. 30 fps (at least for me) is not very good in driving games.

I got a P4 HT 3.0 with 1 GB ram, Geforce 6800 xt 128-bit. Runing with Hi-Detail, no AA, no HDR, resolution 640x480, fps 50-60. I don't really care for resolution, anything over 640x400 is good, since I a got a 15 monitor. I get a very consistent framerate, with all the high details, and the game still beautiful without AA and HDR. Of course, this is temporary, by the end of the year I'm gonna get a full upgrade xD

and what about a ATI Radeon HD3850 512MB AGP 256bit ?
