Game froze Once again my game totally froze. Not BSOD, it just froze, stange artifacts. Tried to connect again to no avail. Session must be full to the max. Might try to connect later and if not hope you all had a good cruise.

Help This might sound daft but meeting place A. I think I missed that one. So where is it?!

post this on atari forum and it got binned Well, well, well. Posted my previous posts on the atari forum and guess what ?!!!!!! It got taken of their forums within ten minutes. So they must care about their reputation just not about "YOU" the gamer. The administrators on that site are real chicken not to listen to someone how seems to know more than them. I will continue looking at fixes to resolve some of my issues with the game, mybe starting of and checking my bsod dump file. Mybe need to monitor memory activity too for leakages and so on.

A lot of bluescreening BSOD's (didn't have that before) No sound in rear cockpit view (didn't have that before) Lots of stuttering even thou frame rates at 45-50fps (more extreme than before) Atari & Eden have had lots of time to implement fixes to the coding, yet have failed to deliver again with the release of their official patch. I have browsed lots of forums where folk are complaining. There seems to be a general feeling that atari & eden are having a laugh supplying an incomplete game with dodgy coding and then a patch that makes things even worse. I buy a wash machine I expect the dial to work, I buy a car I expect the engine to work, I write some software and ensure the coding is solid. The patch should have undergone a public beta test to ensure compatibility and stability on a wider spectrum of machines. I really hope Atari is reading this and axing some jobs in their departments as this has been a performance expected only from amateurs. All comments are welcome.

Tigacatch says "what a load of crap" My personal opinion on the patch is "ATARI NEEDS A GOOD KICK UP THEIR ARSES" My specs opteron 1.8Ghz overclocked to 2.6Ghz Nvidia geforce 8800gts 621/900 psu 520 watt ocz modstream raptor 150 drives Well what is there to say about the patch apart that it is taking the piss out of the gaming community "I SAY ABSOLUTE PISS". Done fresh install of game and installed official patch, ever since that the game has been ten times worse. Crashes every 10 minutes or so "BSOD" for no reason at all (no backround tasks running) total random from what I can make out. Sound been fixed ?? I don't think so. How about cockpit view looking out to the rear, well no sound at all "NOT FUNNY". Also stuttering in the game "NOT FUNNY EITHER" even thou the frame rates are good (50 fps with no HDR). I am pretty sure if I where able to play for any length of time I would find more problems but the BSOD is preventing that from happening. I really hope that the gaming community realises that companys like atari get away with anything. Sell a game for £30 and then turnes their back on us. If the game doesn't work, well tough, buy another and another ,..... Break a seal and the game is non refundable. Take it home play it a while and its no refundable. Its all bull and I for one will not just turnover and put up with this crap. I was thinking of complaining but no point is there, they've sold the game and all complaints go into the trash. :monkeydance:

pop out and all goes wrong To all those who know me ! Been a while since I wrote anything at TDU as I have been waiting on the patch just like the rest of you. Have heard a few patch versions kicking about 1.64 and the 1.66 beta. I have not installed these patches. So anyways dusted down that tdu dvd and gave it a bash again only to find my profile once again to be corrupted (4th time round). Have to start all over again, really where is the point. ATARI HAS KILLED THE GAME. EDEN had done a great job but jumping in bed with atari was a big mistake as I am not ever buying another atari game. A refund for the dodgy coding of this game should be given to all those that feel the consumer rights have been violated (that should be most of us). Also a heavy fine for misleading information like "online play" should be placed upon ATARI. There you have it am really pissed, so now waiting for official release and start for the 5 time and complete it the 5 time too. Oooooooh someone give me a gasburner so i can torch this game.

8800gt 320mb I would go for the 8800gt 320mb or better. Cost around £180 or I if you have the money to splash go for the 8800 gtx 768mb cost around £370. :excited: The Tiga

My ten cents I would think it's the game looking at the lines. If it where memory on gpu then you would get a lot of distorted lines and on the other hand if the gpu where faulty it would miss out pixels. As this only happens on one particular game I thing we are safe in assuming that this is a problem in the game scripting. If there is still a concern download 3d mark and see if it will perform a full test keeping an I out for any lines or missing pixels. Hope this information has been of use to you. :excited: The Tiga

Beta patch Just found a beta patch v3.65 for TDU will install it and update you all on progress. Starting of with a clean install as I had modified some files so give me time and I'll update you all later tonight if possible. :excited: The Tiga

The choice is yours Just read your post and I thought I would add to your confusion. I would definetly go for the 8800 gts 320mb and even overclock it a little bit. It will handle TDU and also will see you nicely into to the new era of DX10 games. If I am not mistaken the 7900 does not support DX10 and is also based on an older GPU too. Do not make the mistake of buying a card that will be walking with the dinosaurs soon. First expected games for DX10 should start appearing in second half of this year. System specs If you should have the original game you should read the system specs on the back of the cover!!! Your GPU is not up to the job. You need a minimum of a ati 9800 or nvidia 6600gt. May I also add that even these card are not ideal for the game. :excited: The Tiggs

Great times Well had a great time last night loads of fun. Maybe next time we will not try to wreck every vehicle in sight. The path of destruction leads knowhere but its funny LOL. I would also like to suggest a new type of cruise, we would call it chicken run. Basically only driving towards oncoming traffic. For those that don't understand driving on the wrong side of the road (there is always someone that doesnt understand)LOL. I think the more themes we have the better. The Tiga:excited:

Rim folder U can go to the rim folder and just swap files about to give yourself new rims. Some rims will work and others will crash the game. So it's really trial and error. The only person able to see the new rims is only you, to everyone else they appear as the normal rims so no showing of the new rims then. Try this one: Change the saleen rims with the ac_289_f_01 file that look quite smart too. Don't forget to back up your rim folder!!!!! The Tiga:excited:
