  1. It's okay, I know how you feel. I felt the same way when my parents sold their previous car. T'wasn't as exciting as a Golf GTi, but it was really rather special to me. In reply to this thread: Girl problems. Hasn't been a bad "day", has been a bad "quarter of the year and counting."
  2. Hey Iced, haven't seen you for a bit. :) Well, I'm not in any position to comment, but at least she's gone. I personally wouldn't want a girlfriend like that. No offense intended.
  3. You know, I found it completely normal after seeing that you posted it. :D  :o :( :ill:
  4. Exactly. This is what I don't understand. Why not leave it open for longer? Unless you don't want star trails.
  5. No no, I'm not talking about technique here. He says "small aperture" and quotes f/2.9 as an example, but f/2.9 is a bloody large aperture value.
  6. Isn't that aperture very large? Unless you mistyped f/29.
  7. Without a tripod and a shutter release, you're going to have a hard time keeping your camera stable. :/
  8. Yea, it's probably the camera
  9. Bokeh actually refers to the quality of the out of focus region, not the region itself. To add on to this, the mode you're looking for is either Aperture Priority, signified by "Av" on Canon EOS systems, or Manual, which is "M". Choose the smallest f/ number, which would be 3.5-5.6 on your lens and shoot with that. If you're shooting in Manual, then choose a shutter speed that'll expose your picture correctly. -----------------------------------
  10. Stop praising GT5! GT5 doesn't look that good! :cheeky:  :D
  11. Well, it is here anyway! :D May everyone have a lovely time with family and friends. And may you lot too, receive a Jaguar XFR from Santa! http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s286/MARKWONG_1992/_MG_7211.jpg
  12. Heh, I'll be getting glamour model, and I'll be doing her too! :D No, just kidding. Christmas here is nothing all that special. :(
  13. Immediate thought was the Aston giving a facepalm.
  14. Wow, huge moon! Was it cropped? And thanks! I edited this one that's posted a bit. The building on the left's now straight. The previous one, it was bent inwards. :( It's camera EV. I've got 3 custom modes, one taking -4, -3, -2, another taking -1, 0, +1, and the last one taking +2, +3 and +4. :D
  15. Welcome young man. Room is down the hall, to your left. Ignore Percy if you meet him. He's a bit unhappy this evening. But hey, how does one appease a camel? As usual, mind the Squirrel Mafia. They've been rather docile lately, but they're still hungry for nuts. Enjoy your stay! Reception will be available 24/7!
  16. It's been a while since I've done one of these but here goes: Hello and welcome to TDU:C. Do note it is mandatory to wipe your feet before entering the main lobby. Your room is to your left, fifth door past the giraffe's watering hole. Slippers are provided and can be found on the rack beside your door. We advise that you to either wear them at all times, or leave your socks on. We've had a history of ferrets sneaking in and running off with a toe or two. Should that happen, I'm afraid, we shall not be held responsible. Do enjoy your stay, for once you enter, you never leave. *Evil cackle*
  17. Were you the one who posted a couple of iPhone videos on Youtube? I saw a couple in my Subscription Box and they were, uhm. Interesting. :D:p
  18. Thank you! It's 6 images actually. :p -3, -2, -1, 0, +1 and +2. :D
  19. ^ Click for larger ^ HDR attempt, good, so-so or "typically" overdone?
  20. Well, what I'm going to say is probably not the most convincing argument in the book, but here goes - the 599, SLS, LFA, GT2 RS are older. The 599 especially. It's a 2006 car. I guess you could argue that the SLS, LFA and GT2 RS are comparatively younger, and I'd agree actually. I wouldn't make a comparison between the Murcielago to the Enzo, MC12. That honour falls with the Reventon. In the same way you wouldn't compare a 599 with a Enzo, would you? I risk talking out of my behind by saying this, but dare I say Lamborghini and Pagani are separated, not by speed or price, but exclusivity? Over 4000 Murcielagos produced, and more than 10,000 Gallardos made. Hazard a guess at how many Zondas Pagani had churned out? 800? 400? One hundred and seventeen. That's almost 86 Gallardos to one Zonda. Although it could be my inner mule that's so stubborn, I won't accept alternate opinions. I certainly hope not!
  21. Pardon me, but I've grown up learning that Pagani and Bugatti are in an entire different class from Lamborghini. And also that this replacement is not a [h]alo model, meant to compete with the Enzo successor. Nor was it ever meant to render a Veyron pointless. I'm sorry, I must have gotten everything wrong.
