  1. Penfold for me too. It's quite brilliant the way the water seems to part away from the sun's reflections. This week's theme is pretty good. Very difficult to go wrong with a sunset photo!
  2. Would be interesting, the group tests that will be done when that reaches Blightly... Camaro vs BMW 335Ci vs Audi S5 vs Infiniti G37 anyone?
  3. Saw this on Autocar just now and i think it's excellent news. Here's hoping the Camaro will make it to other RHD markets around the world as well (including Singapore :D)
  4. The Volcano one IMO wasn't meant to be intentionally funny, but was just one of those things (like Botswana, South America and the North Pole) that shows exactly what 4 wheels and an engine is capable of. Not hilarious, but genuinely gob-smacking. James is now something of a hero for me, and though he doesn't outwardly show it, he does have some very big plums indeed.
  5. Actually, I don't think Kimi was that great either. He didn't win the 2007 championship; it was Hamilton and Alonso who lost it. Oh, and the aftermath of Valencia just proves how big a baby Alonso is...
  6. Sunset from Spottiswoode Park (my apartment ;)) http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/IMG_1350edit2.jpg
  7. The Lacetti destruction I could understand; they wanted to send it off with a bang (do remember though that they have a few spare identical cars though, so I doubt they got rid of all of them. Conti SS review was ok, just the usual Jezza review, although this did seem a bit more factual and technical than what we've come to expect recently. James' Iceland trip: epic, but way too short. What he did on that volcano was truly amazing Reliant Robins: well, the first roll out of the carpark was funny, even though it was very obviously intentional. Got tiring after that though. People on TG.com are all raving about how funny this film was and comparing it with the Peel one Jezza did a few years back, although I can't really see much comparison; this one is much worse. Heck, even Andy Wilman has acknowledged that what we want to see - the things that make TG great - are when the 3 of them are just being themselves and not trying too hard to be funny. The camaraderie they share will shine through and that's way more enjoyable than any scripted funnies Oh, and the new SIARPC choice: I'm a bit underwhelmed actually... The Kia CeeApostropheDee isn't really that crap a car, and Kia have really improved by leaps and bounds in the last 2 years. I think a Proton would have been more appropriate, although TG Oz did nick that idea already...
  8. Nice to see you haven't added a horrible NFS-style bodykit. I'd almost forgotten what a stock 206 looks like :p
  9. That almost works. Almost. Let's see, bits of Enzo, Zonda and Ford GT in the front, Diablo wheels, a hint of SSC Aero around the rear and side... Anyone else got any thoughts?
  10. Mb, what does the front of yours look like?
  11. GM Rally looks... weird. Myself, looking at Audiosurf and DiRT (I have the DVD-ROM but my dad won't let me install it because of Starforce). Most of the other good games there, I have already
  12. If that's weird, then sign me up for the crazy house too ;)
  13. Now, this theme should see some really amazing entries!
  14. [off-topic] Not true actually, as Mythbusters has proven: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GuqiAHGGT4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-JGIYLZZUg [/off-topic]
  15. Well, it wasn't like that when I started out with the franchise (even though I was a trigger-happy 13 year old, but I'd like to think I had a better attitude than the kids now). Back then most of the people were pretty mature, and games were much more balanced, thanks to the Dual 1887's and Chopper Gunners not being brought in yet. Oh, and much much less hacking and cheating. I suppose it's because CoD, CoD: UO and CoD 2 revolved around WW2, thus only the more serious gamers bothered to pick it up. I think the plot and action of MW and MW2 have drawn much more people, although as we can see, that's not necessarily a good thing
  16. Tragic indeed. What I can't get though is how there could be 1 death and 2 seriously injured from that accident. Yes, being test drivers, they may well have been pushing hard and traveling at quite a high rate of speed when they collided, but the passenger compartments of both vehicles seem perfectly intact. Furthermore, as far as i know, all development LF-As have been LHD, so it doesn't look like Naruse-san's side of the car bore the brunt of the impact. Something tells me that it wasn't the impact itself that killed him (possibly heart attack)? And about him being 67: his driving skills and reactions are almost definitely a damn sight better than 90% of drivers on the roads, so I don't think the "he's old" argument really applies
  17. If CoD really goes this way, I think I might give up on the series altogether, and that's a pretty big thing for a fan right from the first game. I already skipped WaW and was less than enamored with MW2 (wouldn't even have played if not for my schoolmates) so if they go this route, they're going to lose another paying fan
  18. Wow, I'm pretty interested in the tech behind how Kinect works
  19. Just a few of my MG 6R4 shots... http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/DiRT%202/dirt2_game2009-12-1511-34-04-70.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/DiRT%202/dirt2_game2009-12-1511-35-09-71.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/DiRT%202/dirt2_game2009-12-1511-37-38-15.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/DiRT%202/dirt2_game2009-12-1511-38-02-57.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/DiRT%202/dirt2_game2009-12-1511-37-28-04.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/DiRT%202/dirt2_game2009-12-1511-38-13-34.jpg
  20. Oh. My. God. <faints> His taste in cars (especially the muscle cars) is damn near identical to mine! Apart from the few exceptions, there isn't very much that's in there that I would take out/replace. God you're a lucky guy to be able to visit that garage... How'd you do it anyway? And is this the man of the Lingenfelter tuning company?
