  1. Since GP weekend has started, I'd like to take the liberty of starting the first thread for the 2009 F1 season. Practice times are in, and I must admit, I'm quite disappointed by Hamilton's poor placing on the leaderboard. Hot-shot talent who doesn't have experience and can't develop a car properly? I do hope not, but we'll see. On the other hand though, Brawn GP, who have been marked bookies' favourite, put in the expected strong showing, though how much that was down to their controversial "diffuser" is yet to be seen. Interestingly, in the 2nd practice session, a Force India was ahead of both Ferraris! :eek2: This should prove to be a very interesting season ahead, I can assure you that http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7967203.stm
  2. Having difficulty understanding the credit crisis? Well here's a simple, concise, easy-to-understand video which sums up and explains the credit crunch quite nicely. For me at least, it made it much easier to get my head round the subject, so I hope it will for you too http://crisisofcredit.com/
  3. http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/ikea-car-200-03-25 http://www.roulez-leko.com/ Anyone here who can understand and translate the video?
  4. how's he going to take the picture, silly? :cheeky:
  5. Lol... No don't think i'll accept that cos it's more of a landscape rather than a people picture
  6. Ugh, very wild stab here, but a Mitsubishi Starion? For some reason I had the inclination to think Japanese the moment i saw that pic...
  7. Styling's quite good though the car itself's a bit too much like Michael Schumacher: boring. The outcomes of these races are now too predictable sadly
  8. Hmmm I would say that motorsports wouldn't be allowed this time. Do try to take a picture of a person actually engaging in a sport, game or other physical activity. (hint, picnics don't count as a physical activity ;))

  10. Nuts. I REALLY wanted this to become reality. I loved the front end styling, particularly the headlight arrangement. And the new generation of Hyper-saloons would have been phenomenal. Shame. Although if halting developments means Lambo can ride out the economic crisis, then yes it is prudent financial sense.
  11. IIRC, it was mainly newer members who got into such a tizzle about driver argumens last year. I've never had a problem with one driver winning over another. Anyways, those I'm supporting this year: Hamilton (as always, and I don't care that he and McLaren didn't do well in pre-season testing) the Brawn team (interesting to see how much new regulations can level the playing field)
  12. Initial thoughts: Saab Sonnet (wrong), Opel Manta (wrong) :(
  13. but it was a model of a car that does exist in real life! I chose the gold coloured model to try and throw you guys off the trail. I figured the standard purple/blue paintjob would be too recognisable to all you who play PGR on the Xbox
  14. I think your lens needs a good wipe though. First thing I noticed, other than the light, was the spots in the bottom half of the pic. Composition wise though, I like it a lot. Very simple shot. If needs be, you could straighten it properly with photoshop or picnik.com or whatever and that'll make it just a little bit better...
  15. Well I do have a grand aunt who's still driving her maroon Merc 200E which she had since 1980. Oh, and an uncle who's had his Mk5 Ford Cortina since earlier than that. I'll need to ask him exactly what year he bought it
  16. Lol... They sure changed their minds in a hurry... ^_^
  17. Mmmmm.... Built my own one, and looks awesome. Can't wait for this to appear on the roads!
