you dont have to have gamespy installed to play online at all, you just need a gamespy account which can be made using the game screen itself when making your new account (FAQs) Test Drive Unlimited, over its lifespan has seen many problems with routers and connections. a group of players using a certain router couldnt play online at all, and whilst i cant remeber which router it actually was this may be another avenue to try. and of course as our famous SLRR character is trying to explain having a no cd hack attached to your test drive unlimited files in some way also can create connection issues. i wouldnt so much worry about atari/eden/gamespy banning your account for using a no cd hack, currently i havent found any evidence to fully prove anyone has ever been banned from the servers, despite hearing rumours that some people when altering TDU BnK Files have encountered problems connecting to servers until all the modified files were replaced back to their original settings, this may be relevant to you also. and finally whilst this wont be so reassuring i can link you to threads where players simply cannot ever get Test Drive Unlimited working online at all no matter what they situation is or what they try. well when me and desrat were planning the tdu-toolkit (version2) we have already paid for some software which would make TDU Club planner V2.0 110% more suitable to the quote above. The main goal behind that software would be a piece of software which would make it possible for users to instantly contact others for a race in realtime... However despite the fact that the fee needed for that software has already been paid for by myself and desrat, i no longer wish to be involved in the next toolkit, and desrat has recently made it clear he has no intentions of buying TDU2 (he only played the first one because i got him the game as a gift) i dont think the new club planner will appear. so in light of that i hope your right because online interaction is without a doubt one of test drives biggest downfalls, i really believe that eden games never intended to make tdu as a cruising style game, but more of a racer as its title "racing re-invented" would suggest. i believe the community figured that TDU suffered from any serious online interaction and invented cruise events to compenstate for that... so fingers crossed, you will be right and online aspect of TDU2 will be better enhanced and most of all work !!! do you know something, ive never looked at this subject like that and your right... you can buy the same house cheaper and they is no reason why you shouldnt. theres only 2 explainations 1) the games developers couldnt be bothered 2) they didnt think anybody would notice harsh words, but after a few mins thinkng i cant think of any other reason why ???

It cant be tuning mate, as now ive discovered the blue highlighted ones change due to which car you have selected at any time. Its gotta be something to do with your selected car/bike in some way...

I have a Chevrolet SSR (Not DLC) When i purchased it brand new, and after racing if for over twenty miles. It was still "grey" in the trading list. It only changed to "blue" after i performance tuned the car, and still in my trade list the only blue cars are tuned ones. So if three people have different storys on the blue highlighted cars. The problem isint solved yet Doctor Watson.... I have noticed that certain cars will be highlighted blue, and not highlighted if i change my currently selected car. So another guess would be that Blue highlighted cars are related to your selected one in some way, for example all blue cars may have a bigger BHP or More Expensive, will have to do some research in a few minutes...

OK, so now we both have a mission, lets find out what "blue" means then... Well, ive ran every test i can think of doing. Even got myself a new car to see if blue mean the car hasnt done any milage yet and the only blue cars in my trade list still are performance tuned. So for now im sticking to the blue ones are performance tuned cars until proven otherwise :)

just because everyone else in the world knows how to use the trade function, doesnt make you thick my friend... when you have selected the car you wish to sell, you will have two options, dont select the "direct sale" option this price is preset for you, so you want to select the other option then use left/right to adjust the price. certain cars such as DLC Packs cannot be sold on the online trade function, and only have direct sale prices NOTICE: Please be advised if you are playing with a offline profile, then the online trade function isint an option and all cars therefore will as a result only have direct sale prices, and the user cannot in this case select a price. the car you have currently got selected or any other cars that are already up for sale will appear a different colour in your list when compared to cars that currently dont have anything to do with regards to the trade function INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Enter your house 2) Select trade 3) Select Sell 4) Select Car/Bike to sell 5) Choose the car you wish to sell 6) Press "Sell" & "put up for sale" then alter the price and confirm 7) the car will then appear "RED" in your trade list Cars that are added to the trade function cannot be driven anymore, however.. you can take it off trade by using the transaction tab. Sort of but I'll post what I'm thinking. I voted labour, Just kidding the title is my vote . . . i like the idea of it for certain cars, but i just have this horrible feeling when i think about adding body kits to such wonderful and expensive cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. Some cars look good with modifications, others dont. i think its great for things like Audi RS4, Golfs, and other small nippy cars. which means, i would like it for those small cars i own, but not for my precious ferrari. and i know someone will mod one. NOTE: Download Content for Test Drive Unlimited, slows the game down because of the way the games has been designed to load and save information. So for example Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, is in fact just a Lamborghini Murcielago. So when you view the roadster version in the showroom, you can see a brief glimsp of change as it happens during the phase that test drive unlimited changes the cars look... If this topic was to happen as test drive unlimited is always online (in fact it ask for permission to access your internet connection more than any software ive ever seen) that means as you drive it would in theory be loading all users mods just as often. this is probably why present day TDU cars are tuned by performance packs and not user defined options. im 50-50 on the subject for those reasons (modificated ferrari, please help them lord) and forgive them for posting a piccy of one next to tease me AMEN!!!

well i cant wait for the next XBOX im just hoping they include some additional web browser kit on it, be great formy plans if the browser can be accessed whilst in-game. will help transfer toolkit usage from the PC to the XBOX :)

MORE TO LIFE THAN GAMING !!! why would you say such a nasty thing ? Besides i do go out, but only if i really need to... oO i see what you mean now, it doesnt matter if its none of your business. If i have a problem answering a question, i just wont answer it... My partner is disabled and her condition has a 50% chance of being passed down to our children, so far out of the four kids we have two of them have got the condition, one hasnt, and its too early to tell whether the fourth child has developed it yet. So basically i cant work as the condition affects the mobility of my family, so technically im on beck and call 24/7... I had to quit my job as assitant manager for yates wine lodge in order to support the family as and when needed, my partner gets a vechile on mobility, and basically i sit around all day waiting to see if they need a lift anywhere. In addition to this i have to be around the house to aid with certain household tasks as well, Dont get me wrong here its boring as hell some days, but its the life i have. So as i cant work, and i find the television just a tad boring, i play computer games and make little daft programs in between what the family needs. so 100hrs per week isint a problem for me, but as i say its not always that high. Never the less it happens more often than it would for most gamers. Its not all bad though, we get more money than most working familys, a brand new car every 3years, a caravan in the countryside, and i get loads of time with the family, sometimes too much time. Maybe when the kids leave home, i can perhaps get back into some kinda working life again but for now im TDU-RAZOR !!! Yes very serious :)

OH FFS !!! just trust me i play a lot of games mate believe me... and for a very long time, and 100hrs in a week is as often as eating. but its not every week. why do ppl on forums have to dig out every word ;lol hotcars mate its a dam pleasure to talk about me, and i would love to answer you my friend... i live on food which my wife cooks, which i then eat, sometimes i eat playing poker whilst i have to only press a button once every 50secs, and sometimes i snack in which case i race with a hotdog dangling from my chin, other times i dont eat. i suppose in last few weeks i prob havent come close to 50hrs gaming because of the flu and other things, but when i have no agenda i play games from waking up to going to sleep. i always have, me and the wife fight all the time about it, i dont do enough round the house and she complains about it, i had to buy a laptop and a 4way router in order to please the family so i can game whilst they chat on msn. some people watch 100hrs of tv, others go outdoors for 100hrs a wk - me i play games all day all week all year all the time. a typical day for me would be.... 8.30 am drive kids to school 9.15 am back home, if not need to go food shopping or anything fire up xbox 3.00 pm pick kids up 3.15 pm hand out over a tenner in pocket money to 4 kids 4.00 pm back on game 6-7 pm eat (i never eat breakfast and only snack at dinner) then rest of time unless something wife wants to watch on tv back on game or laptop (poker, or make a program) my usually switch off time is midnight give or take, however when i was a mod for atari i was sometimes online for 3-4am. last night i didnt sleep, woke up about 3am - been up since be sat on this forum all the night pretty much, ask diablo to check log in details. trust me i know 100hrs per week pushes limits of gaming hrs, but believe me i can improve on 100hrs on occasions. and i totally understand your words even right down to the "its nothing to do with me" your trying to make me understand how many hrs are in that week. i know TRUST ME IM ONE DEDICATED GAMER !!! have been for 20+ years.... i dont have any other interests, no hobbies, dont watch tv, cant stand chatting, and i rarely see my family. my family and kids are always around, and thats all i need to stay sane. hell my wife sometimes holds my ***<<< C I G !!! in my mouth whilst im cruising on tdu. im actually trying to think of something else to talk about, but i dont have anything, unless amanda or the kids need something i play games...

o yea im pretty much gaming all day every day. usually start about 9am after dropping kids at school, then on it till like midnight at least everynight. so whats that ? start > programs > accessories > calc ;LMAO = 15hrs per day so yea maybe just over just under a 100 hrs per week give or take depending if theres a wedding or something ;lol mind you i do sometimes miss days.... i dont work mate apart from taking kids school and odd trip out im always either gaming or talking gaming, etc. even take console/laptop to caravan with me and family each weekend these days. you should have seen the hours i put in when we started making the tdu-toolkit jesus not only playing the game to get screenie and info, but also programming and designed the actually toolkit, i had a wallchart the size of my kitchen wall making tdu-trader, still got it in loft

PC gaming is on a downward slope, and in the short run theres no sign at all that the slope is changing direction, but rest assured if it does i would be the first to switch back to a gamers rig and sell my consoles. Crysis is a direct result of a partnership with EA Games, it was built as a result of EA Games taking small one time developer (Crytek) under their wing after seeing cryteks game engine in action during the reign of farcry. However, since EA Games and Crytek have become close to each other in a business sense, What will happen when this merger or interest ends ? Will Crytek blame the loss of earnings on Crysis, as a result of bad influence from EA Games. and create another game in the furture, or will they sit back and think... Theres only one more game to come from the crysis trilogy !!! Because when all said and done, EA Games have already publically declared that they wont be supporting PC Gaming, and thats a big player in the gaming industry. so how long before others following suit ? As for joining my club, not a problem. and since ive made some big mistakes on forums myself i will of course forgive you for calling me stupid, and move on from this, which reminds me... i came here to check my other thread mainly :rolleyes:
