  1. Well be sure to include a link to the poll for that little extra 'motivation' :p
  2. First it was Friday the 13th, then it was the following Monday or Tuesday, and now it's within 2 weeks? The ways of Atari are strong
  3. btw, whatever happened to those co-op races where the driver didn't have a map, and the passenger had to tell him where to go?
  4. 1. Being able to change tracks from the MP lobby, reagardless of what type of MP race it is. It's hard enough to find good ranked races with good players, but after doing the same track for the 4th time I've really had enough. At least allow teh host to change tracks in ranked and club races. Maybe add an option for a 'random' playlist of tracks, where you do each track 1-3 times (or best of 3) before automatically moving on to the next (random) one. 2. More descriptive error messages. Tell us why we couldn't sign into the game today (and all week thereafter) despite being able to connect fine on previous occasions. Tell us why we couldn't join or invite a player, join a race lobby, etc. Knowledge is power, which means we're able to help ourselves a bit more (or help each other on the forums) instead of either making use of Atari support, or giving up and uninstalling the game. Heck, maybe leave the cutesy font errors just as they are, but add a button called "Advanced info', that brings up a console window with no special style or font - just pure diagnostic info.
  5. I noticed that option get one vote very shortly after your first comment here Diablo ;)
  6. Yeah - me and my TDU1 HC friends all went straight to Hardcore mode in TDU2 which was awful - I find Sport mode much better, and everyone who's listened to me so far and tried it out agrees. They should rename it to 180º Spin mode
  7. In my case I did one mission, then saw a radar on the map. I ignored it and did 7 more missions, I was told about a second radar location but the map only showed the first (near the Ibiza airport). I then got the first radar, it said 7/8 I think (which doesn't sound right since I thought there were 10, but with a bug like this who knows). I then went back to the map, where a second one was (near your first house in Ibiza, bit further north at the coast). Then I was awarded the car.
  8. I think only one radar shows up at a time. Find one wreck, then another radar will show up, and then apparantly you've found all 10 wrecks and you are awarded the car. :p
  9. In order for me to continue playing this game while we wait for more content (or TDU3, whichever comes first), I personally need realistic (not simulation, there's a difference) and predictable (fun) handling tied with proper force feedback. TDU1 was about picking nearly any sort of fast car, and enjoying any type of driving style (relaxed, showboating (drifting), precise fast racing, chasing, making movies, etc). TDU2 seems to be more about struggling to stay on the road without feeling like you're driving at the limit. #2 Proper TrackIR support, 6-DOF preferably (thank goodness for cam-hack). This aids in cornering, drifting, checking for traffic at intersections, increases the immersion, and allows us to better enjoy the detailed car interiors. Using buttons or the mouse to look around is much slower, and less precise. In TDU1 when in the outside view, I could turn my head to look behind me, negating the real need to use a 'look behind' button. It made police chases and falling backwards down mountains a lot easier. I don't view TDU as a racing game, but simply as a driving game - so the driving feel is most important. Bost on TDU1's hardcore mode "as is" while you work on something better if you have to, because you don't have a lot of time before we start looking elsewhere. Keep in mind that TDU1 was the reason that I (and many others from the old TDU forums) purchased a Logitech G25. For the sequel to be this hopeless with the wheel is frankly a bit insulting. The only thing that tempts me to keep playing is the offroading, which is slightly better in the handling and force feedback department.
  10. Some have obviously had enough of TDU2's imperfections (to put it nicely) and have uninstalled the game. How long, then, does Eden/Atari have to fix the main issues (which we can all read about in other threads) before you decide to call it quits? It's not nice having to ask this question so soon after the game's release, but there's little point asking it if everyone's left :p Perhaps the poll results can be used to motivate Eden a bit more. After all, if we can help them help us, everybody wins.
  11. So, um, who's getting DiRT 3 later this month?
  12. Oh I thought this was the 'Post One Random Lamborghini on Fire' thread  Hope that balances things out :cheeky:
  13. Yeah - how they missed that bug (considering how widespread it is (not rare)) I have no flipping idea :p I did 8 missions in Ibiza in a row until no more showed up, so I clicked on the map where a wreck was showing - found that, and it said 7 out of 8 found. Went to the next wreck and it gave me the car. I doubt they'll take the car off me with a patch and tell me to go find the wrecks again somehow, but they do have to fix it for new game profiles. I wonder if they'll quickly sort it out for consoles before they are pushed out by Microsoft/Sony.
  14. Yeah the Used Car Dealership isn't where I'd expect to see *new* DLC cars. I have more cars to get form there than the spaces allow there as well (DLC + preorder + duel cars).
  15. They all had that stupid fake turbo sound
  16. It's a clever idea - the only fault being that if the cars are ready - why aren't they on the DLC website already? If they were available to purchase for Atari tokens right now then I would say it's a very good idea. It just seems a tad odd that they've released the cars, but haven't released them yet. What are they waiting for? I don't like downloading 400mb for tasters, when it seems likely that I'll have to download that 400mb again later to get the finished product, but the rest of you with your unlimited Internet probably don't care so much about that.
  17. Ibiza is ok but the road network isn't at all condusive to cruising (unless you're in an offroad car), so it's O'ahu for me.
  18. Which would make sense, since they are basically the same car ;)
  19. Why did they bolt on the old Maserati MC12 sound from TDU1? It's awful.
  20. Ryzza5

    Mb's 106 S2 Rallye.

Has that TomTom satnav speeding data fiasco settled down yet?
  21. Now a good time to remind them to add TrackIR support as well? :cheeky: No wait, "there's a hack for that".
  22. The cars (or paintjobs) are only $1 each, so I'm not really fussed at this point tbh. Would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks via a poll. I would prefer it if DLC was infact DLC, but since I want TDU2 to eventually turn out good (hopefully) I'm happy look after the devs and see if they look after us in turn. If it was EA on the other hand, then I couldn't give a rats backside about finding what else is on the disc :) Just remember though, that nobody buys software - they buy a license to use the software in the way intended by the publisher.
  23. It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights  Couldn't resist this time ;)
  24. "Wow" at the first 2 pics
