  1. I'm pretty sure I don't have a thread in here, so I better do something to fix that. Comments and requests are welcome, but I don't enhance my pics in anyway. They go straight from my savegame folder to my Google Pacasaweb albums (which I haven't organised very well).

Less chit-chat, more pics. Who likes Zondas?

  2. If I can suggest one improvement to the TDU2 map screen in the incorrect thread... currently in TDU1 the roads are grey if they're locked, and then blue(ish) when you drive on them.

The only problem with that is when you want to get the achievement points for driving on every road. Once you do that, you often forget about some of the roads that you've only driven on once or twice.

In TDU2, it would be good if the maps screen had a few more colours for roads. Grey for undiscovered roads, light/pale blue for roads you've barely driven on, darker blue for the main roads that you drive on every week.

The scale should always be kept up to date. If I drive on a road heaps during the first two weeks of gameplay, it would show up as a dark blue. If I never drove on that road for the next 3 months, it would gradully become a light blue in comparison to the other roads that I had been driving on. (If, for some incomprehensible reason, I hadn't played the game at all for those 3 months, the colours wouldn't change at all).

  3. I've never done 150 IRL before, and short of trying to outrun a natural disaster I don't think I'll ever need to. The VW Golf that I'm planning to buy is apparantly capable of 220kph, but won't be going any faster than 110kph on certain Freeways if I want to keep my license :)

  4. I can't wait to see O'ahu in TDU2 with the goodies of night, weather and smoother roads.

I personally can't wait to go drifting in some twisties during a massive thunderstorm with heavy rain. Dunno why. Just do. :)

I think Fizz is talking about PC users copying the .bnk files from TDU1 to TDU2, rather than Eden carrying over all the old cars, which I doubt they will. The only advantage to keeping them would be having more slots to replace with mods down the track. Otherwise, I have no need to keep a Zonda C12S when I can have a Zonda F or Cinque, for example.

  5. I wouldn't mind if cars are shared between islands. Heck, I'd be happy if you could open a small menu and change your car mid-cruise while cruising online.

I don't see any downside to including O'ahu again. Options are supposed to be a good thing. What's the alternative? Just have the one island (Ibiza)? Have another island which is much smaller (since upgrading O'ahu is quicker than building a new island)? If O'ahu was so bad would we really still be playing TDU anymore (how quickly did the maps in the last few NFS games get boring?). Sure, the external community and mods help a lot, but I have never, ever played a game as much or for as long as TDU.

I do hope, though, that we are not required to 'discover' all of the roads in O'ahu again in order warp to them via the map. Maybe TDU2 can detect if TDU1 is installed, and import the savegame data from there to figure out what has already been discovered and go from there. Or they could unlock all of the old roads, and leave only the new ones locked. Or, since O'ahu is an unlockable achievement in itself, all of it's roads could be 'discovered' by default already.

I'd be happy for them to keep the old discovery system in Ibiza, of course (which I'm sure they've improved in a few ways).
