  1. This is irritating... I either have to somehow hold the car at a certain RPM on full throttle for a few seconds or cobble together lots of moments of sound that may not quite go together. Does nobody know how to open the randomly named .BNK sound files for NFS6?
  2. I think as long as the engine wav sounds in the .bnk file have the same names (BNK File Ed makes it the same size), the game will use them regardless of what they actually are. ;) Some progress with the 360 too, using Audacity to record sounds in-game from the PS2 version. Editing the sounds to work together without any popping noises is a right pain, I have much respect for game sound designers now! The thing I will do is sample the engine at 2500, 5000 and 7500, rather than 2000, 4000 and 6000. In NFS it redlines at nearly 10,000 RPM rather than TDU's 8500, so I have to sample higher so you get a better sound for the engine at the end of it. If some clever person can fix the rev needles on the Challenge Stradale, it will be perfect, but I'm happy for the moment just getting these sounds sorted! :p
  3. I'm trying ford_d in Ford_F_GT_01, it works fine but the text is grey instead of orange :oook:
  4. Nice, but what about small coloured text in the wheels? They just seem to turn white/grey :eek_blue:
  5. More modding skills than taste if you ask me... :chairfall: Awesome work nonetheless!
  6. Thanks ever so much for this guide, worked first time :) http://ourspace.biz/flash/licenseplates/plategenerator.asp < Useful tool, for the realism junkies at least Who here is a Zappa fan, then? ;) http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn7/captain_clutch_kick/dentalfloss.jpg
  7. The perfect sound for the 360 CS comes from Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. Fact. The singing Italian V8 in that game is almost as awesome as the real thing. I would gladly do it and upload for all to have, if only I could open NFS' .BNK and .VIV files properly... :headbang:
  8. Sorry dude. But check what files are in your profile save directory, that can cause it to fall over.
  9. All was well yesterday, everything worked, now TDU just doesn't start up at all. I get the ATARI jingle, then the Eden one, then a very prettty black screen for a few seconds and then a crash to desktop. Tried re-installing, there's no blink file in system32... but it still crashes and it worked perfectly until now. EIDT: Let's try a system restore... DIET: ...and a re-install... IDET: ...no. MY TDU IS DEAD!! :eek_blue: TEDI: Fixed. Don't install custom radio stations as the manual says ;)
