  3. Using camera set from another vehicle is the only possible option at the moment. About fixing the rest of things, I may not succeed anyway. --- Edit: showing new capabilities in modding. Will you find the point ? (clue : it's in the pic label) a new video will come soon :)
  4. Yes, I just can tell it's not the best things we could expect about TDU... but modding may be a little more precise in the future. Don't forget many many things are tracked by servers when you're online and can quickly disconnect you. I will post news when real and secure progress will be on our hands :) To sum up, don't expect to have brand new cars (end of replacing) in the near future for example. Yes, like I said on Toyota Supra RZ thread. Cameras Fix is a new feature in next Modding Tools and is already working pretty well. A beta will be quickly available for enthusiasts. As I saw recently in car threads, there are also problems with drivers, seatbelts positions and rim size when swapping. I hope it's fixable... don't know exactly what's possible at the moment. Thanks for your support.
  5. That could be true... but don't forget a few facts: - client side modification only, as always (might be weird online, jumping cars :) ) - you're right it's not simply texture modding. ZM2 should be used - at the moment I know only 1 person who achieved to somehow "mod" the road (Speeder)... but he does not really say much about it. Imo, by adding polygons to existing track and applying a road material, there is likely to work. The hardest thing must be to locate the precise 3D model to modify, over thousands of track pieces.
  6. Master pieces still. Now there are enough Toyota to make a complete car dealer (Supras, MR2s, Celica ?) replacing Jaguar :) And good news, cameras tricks work flawlessly at this early stage. So expect some good things with next Modding Tools.

Very strange, because when converting fails, not only one part of the texture is damaged - but the whole generally :) Please attach your files to a post - or provide a dl link (original dds texture, resized dds texture, bugged 2db texture, bugged car BNK), with describing which options you've used in DDS>2DB converter. Then I will have a look.

You could try alternate method when converting your DDS to 2DB back. http://syfworld.free.fr/tdu/files/Guide-1.7/graphicsTools.html#link2 Just uncheck Keep original file header box in order to take current image format into account. Please also note TDU only supports DXT1, DXT3, DXT5, A8R8G8B8 formats. So check format is correct when saving. And another thing, don't forget to generate mipmaps ! Else your logos won't be visible from a distance.
  15. 2DM files have nothing to do with shapes; these are materials. The only thing is modify 2DB files.
  16. This problem can't be related to Modding Tools nor Magic Map, so I'm afraid I can't help you. :( Just check your files again... there's no miracle solution. Sure, they are both (Curve & Sky) ready for next release (Modding Tools 1.8 - soon).
  17. No, DB.BNK is the same, whatever your game language is. But if you're using a different version of the game (unpatched 1.45, or patched 1.66 without megapack), you'll need other DB.BNK than the one provided by kegetys. I've added the 1.66-nopack one to the correponding thread in this forum. I won't patch the 1.45 version anyway.

    3. I could do that, but there are some conflicts as always: - if you change 'Ferrari' word, you'll get all your Ferraris with BMW brand name (BMW f430 etc...) - same problem with the Jaguar These are annoying limits for the moment. So I prefer not to give you a DB_US.BNK with such side effects.
    4. New name list available for next Modding Tools release. I will include these 2 cars into it. That's to say in a few days.
    5. Here we go for a new try :o That time you'll need a magic map installed in Euro\Bnk folder. If that still fails, I would say I can't do anything more about it ...
