Actually the R8 is borrowing from the Gallardo(platform) and the engine is, as RX_37 said, the same v8 used in the RS4. Lamborghini may use the occasional Audi part, or have joint ventures, but the heart of Lamborghini's are still created in house. You think Chrysler built the Lambo engines? lol Nope, and likewise Lamborghini is using its own, not Audi's system in the Gallardo.

I think a winter mod would be easier lol I have to figure out the grass and various dirt images, once have turning them white is easy, and stripping leaves off the trees should be as simple as making them transparencies. one project at a time. I'm going to get back to this soon, once it's complete that'll be the next step

Just as I could have worded it better so could EF, without the sarcasm, without the continued commentary left in every Grin thread. I've just never seen a modder get nailed so much, and as for releasing beta's and unfinished work, did BasBas take as much of a beating? Dmc? I came to his defence, just as I've come to yours people pestered you about what to build. The community is still in it's infancy, why alienate a modder who's trying to offer up models to a community desperate for them. If his quality isn't up to par it's up to him to improve, or members to ignore his downloads. Extreme, as I mentioned above, I apologize for not being clearer. jesus, whats with the hostility? you don't like it don't download it(i won't) but to sit here and nail the guy who's trying to add cars? none of the other modders ever got this nailed for their tuned or unfinished models. and Extreme Flatulence? at least he does eventually release models, multiple projects or not. in the time it's taken you to release the BMW how many downloads has he provided, at least 3. that's not an attack on your work, but if you're going to constantly attack grin about releases? why drive a modder away?

Thanks Danger, yup it's on the to-do list. that'll be the biggest pain in the butt methinks. i'll try to get them exact but as long as they match up well enough i'll be happy. once i've done those ill probably release a beta, just finishing up on the trees and back and forth tweaking them and making sure theres an even spread on the island

I will actually, I assume they're in the details folder, i'll have to take a look and see if theres any ini files to change make them appear just a little more. True Baltoman, but my Audi R8 is also really a Noble M14, if I suspend disbelief enough to accept that, I think I can accept that it's fall, or that I'm on Vancouver Island perhaps lol Thanks everybody, I'll shall release it then, maybe a week or two

Not sure if anyone else is interested, just something I'm working on for myself, but i'll release it if anyone wants it when I'm done. Hawaii is nice and all, but I started to miss home ;) If anyone is wondering about accuracy, what to do with palm trees, there are species of palm on the west coast from California, up into Vancouver, Canada. So you get fall leaves and palm trees in the north too. Progress: *located tree images *began colouring process *able to find specific species in game and manage colour spread to keep things random and natural To Do: *locate lo-resolution trees and add colour *link specific lo-res to specific hi res to ensure smoother transition *change grass/add leaves if possible *add leaves to road *DELAYED* unfortunately, do to some personal events, this mod will be delayed for a week or two

very nice grin, one of the most interesting parts of tdu is the classic car shops, so i personally like the addition of older models. especially when they're not thaaat old. go driving, not all new models on the road. it adds a little realism to the game.

no problem, and that probably came of harsher than i meant it to. well the first thing to do is backup :) using djeys newer tools replacing the file is easier than when this was first released. while browsing the bnk, select the appropriate 2db file, click replace, maintain size and there you have it. i've found it works without having to replace the 2db in commonworld2 so test one first and if theyre all there don't bother with the second

absolutely and that's why i'm excited, seeing names like mazda, toyota and honda, and especially seeing the monaro(another example of the the holden/vauxhall versions being far better than the North American counterpart). i'm for anything being built, lambos or whatever, i'll be happy with any addons. but asked for my opinion i love the idea of any one of those 'average' cars there as much, or more than the supercars. at least more then the lambos as we have a few to choose from already.

i understand that cipo, my point was simply there are many existing lambos and i think the replacements could wait until a few new models, companies, rarities were built. in the end its tool's decision, i was simply adding my opinion to the thread. i love lambos, at the same time i live in a market that doesnt carry cars like the fold falcon or holden, and there are some japanese cars that should have been in the game(mazda/honda) but weren't and i wouldnt mind seeing them. not always be about supercars for me
