    how can black box be developing still? I heard that EA shut them down due to the recession. (looking for source, will post it if I find it.) EDIT: Found it. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/940/940032p1.html Seems the location was shut down and all its employees laid off but the name was kept.

    that shot from Shift looks like it was lifted directly out of GRID (possible fake). anyone with GRID able to confirm/deny? also, if World Online is freeroam, we could possibly be looking at a spiritual TDU successor (provided it doesn't captain the failboat)

    If I remember that area of the map correctly, the complex you are talking about is the golf club/country club.

    that would explain it then. absolutely custom built, from the frame up as a limousine. that would eliminate alot of the problems that limos normally have, like how a limo's frame is normally as stiff as wet noodles thanks to the stretching process (which is pretty much "cut the car in two, add two long bits of metal for to extend the chassis, and weld it all back together with some sheet metal to fill in the holes"). This presents a little hope in my eyes, because if the government is getting smart enough to use purpose-built vehicles for protecting politicians, maybe they will make purpose-built equipment for the boys in the armed forces (as opposed to the catch-all platforms they are trying to build right now)

    this could be interesting. maybe some sporty econoboxes from Chysler via Fiat (or vice versa)? And, I agree with the gent above (currently named Who, Abbot & Costello reference anyone?), we MUST see a DeTomaso spiritual successor!

    it means that there is a code that prevents the contents of the file from being extracted without the proper program. basically, just wait a little while and then start checking the NFS forums for modding tools, since it's just a matter of time until someone cracks the code.

    the caliber is just too much like a shoebox, almost like they put a Grand Caravan under a shrink ray :\

    little known fact here: when it was produced, the Neon SRT-4 was the quickest car for less than $22,000, and was actually quicker to 60mph than the Viper, making it the fastest accelerating car in the Dodge lineup. I say that's a good enough reason for it to be in TDU (and the possible sequel to TDU)
