Not that the cars are bad but it looiks so small, so uninteresting. I thought TDU2 would bring out loads of new cars to drive around, how wrong could I be. A part from the Impreza, there's nothing I want to drive, not even the over-hyped veyron. Hell guys, seriously. I hope they're not scheming a thousand DLC's to bring us lambos and whatnot because you know that they know we all love lambos. There's almost no other car I used in the first game than my beloved Murcielago (Yes I know what you'll say "so why are you complaining then?"). I haven't been this disappointed in a while, will definetly reconcider buying. A casino and being able to paint my car with various stickers and good enough for me, not even a second island. Don't you guys get tired of all this "n00b" talk? It's like you're acting all mightier because you don't want to, for no apparent reason, have fun driving a veyron SS :rolleyes: I've had loads of fun in TDU1 with friends on straights trying to get as fast as possible with the koenigsegskoengiseggg using aspiration. I'd like to have the Veyron simply for the fact that i'd like my game to be complete and not miss about 15 cars because of those stupid pre-order marketing techniques. Even if I won't drive a catherham, i'd still like that pre-order edition to be in the game after some time. I don't care if a special edition of the game comes with like a keychain and that kind of useless stuff, but when so much content is spread out over so many shops, it's just ridiculous....

Well you should. I'm going to list all the reasons why your post is idiotic and why this delay is a good thing for Atari/Eden, and for us: Like others said, it's just a game. Get a life. Waited 4 years huh? So did we. So what are 4 months going to change? Be THANKFUL that there actually is a TDU2 coming out. Atari/Eden are kind enough, unlike soooo many other game producers, to actually care about our gaming experience. So WTF are you all on about? I bet you are the same person that comes whining because there are bugs in a game that was released too soon. :rolleyes: Releasing an "unfinished" product at a time (end of the year) when all the competition is releasing theirs, is not a good idea. Even less when considering Atari has had a rough past years. Now stop :cry: like a baby :eek2:, it's just a bloody game that's being delayed...chill out!

I think what people don't realize is that a beta is not a free game. It's a lot of work reporting bugs and testing the game. I think 90% of people just want it to play :rolleyes: I couldn't care less about being in the beta tbh

I can pretty much guarentee you they won't come out at the same time. A beta that hasn't even started yet for a game coming out in a 1,5 months? Please... I don't care if it's delayed, really, they can postpone it 'til 2012 if they want, I just want them to not keep us in the dark. It's been a month with no real news. E3 was a joke. Seriously, aren't we a loyal community? Don't we deserve a few treats like, G, a gameplay vid, some awesome pics every few days and whatever else to make the wait less boring? I really don't understand how their communication/marketing team works :oook:

I was just going to say that. I get "press start button" in many games where i use my x360 pad. I don't get what the big deal is anyway, console or not, who cares? edit: was going to put a pic here, but it's mean and could be taken the wrong way :p

Well, congrats as well. This one made me laugh: "Faster...than a speeding ticket" I don't know if he was playing on words but in my head i'm imagining overtaking a paper ticket with a lamborghini, i'm kinda "wtf"... Meh, maybe they didn't have too many people participating hence why some of these are really pretty bad.

Dunno if this was posted yet, Fabien (Kidzou) from tdu2.fr, today: So, what Fabien basically says: The closed beta is about to begin, he doesn't know exactly when, for now it's still internal. It will be very limited at first (one car, and freeride only). He got two keys for the beta and was given the right to give the community some exclusiv footage and pics. He just wants us to know that things are moving forward ;)

She was refering to the word person, but anyway yes you may know who since she's been pretty active for TDU1 and other stuff. I don't know her too well personnaly though but she hangs out in a french speaking forum with a dedicated TDU2 topic sometimes :)

Hence why an open beta would have maybe been better, but has it's obvious pitfalls as well I guess. Meh, anyway, let's hope that Eden choose people with beta-testing background (I don't have any) or at least who played countless hours on the first TDU and know EXACTLY what was good and not good :) EDIT: as I was saying in this topic (or another, can't remember), I know someone who's been alpha testing for some time now. That person says that the beta test hasn't actually started yet so...don't know, either she's misinformed or some people have been "lying" (not saying the have). Please take this "news" as it is, just saying what I'm hearing. Now since that person has a very peculiar sense of humour, it could also be a 20th degree joke...let you know :p

Yes, GOD, please don't start winning like babies. No one knows when or if you get an e-mail, so just sit tight and wait. Plus it's not a long wait for the full game anyway.

This person is on a french forum with a dedicated TDU2 topic (not TDU2.fr) and has been quite active in modding on the first one as far as I know. I'm not going to say more since I don't think he/she would want me to talk about this stuff all over the net, he/she probably had to sign or agree to an NDA. I'm not trying to convince anybody this is true, but I regard it as a reliable source based on the forums I'm hanging out on ;)

Guys, I don't know if this is any kind of useful (or even exclusive for that matter) info, but I happen to know someone who's been alpha testing TDU2 for some time now (from another forum). It is pretty reliable given that person's status on that forum. He/she says that Eden are ready to go with opening the beta up to more people but the guys at Atari are holding back or something. This info dates from about 1-2 weeks or so, so, before the beta news in the TDU1 game. He/she also said that he/she spends literaly hours debugging and reporting as many bugs as possible. Only info on the game I got was that the sounds in the game are better than the in the first one, but a lot still has to be done or something. Don't ask for more, it's all I got. But still, like many I question the point of this beta for a game that is supposed to come out in a little over 2 months. Not mentionning the fact that we are in the summer and many people are probably away (except us geeks). So either: -they are already testing on a massive scale and we were just not selected -or/and they have advanced a lot and the game is nearly good to go -or, it's going to be delayed, and I fear it will be. I'm kind of ok with it, sick with all other game publishers releasing stuff that still needs work anyway

meh, never liked porsche. I don't like their lack of design innovation anyway. The Cayenne and the Panamera are just plain ugly. Sure, a 911 looks nice, but aside from the carrera GT there's no porsche I really like. So if RUF is in TDU2 good, if not I couldn't care less. Me would rather see some japanese rally cars anyway (how epic would it be to have a evo and impreza combo). Which reminds me GT5 even has the top gear test track, too bad I don't have a ps3...

Man I don't really get it myself. E3 is supposed to be a place to show stuff off. All the other interviews had ingame footage so I was, like most of you, expecting the same thing. And OMG all the useless questions LOL, "will there be minivans?". You got to be kinding me :lol:

No, if i'm wrong say so, but I think the difference is: Open beta : anyone can download the beta and get a key to play, there are no restrictions. It's like a demo, but you get the full game instead :) Closed beta : only a few people get a key to play (typically this means registering on a website and if you're lucky you'll get a key)
