  1. True that, I like damage, but in a game where it sort of...makes sense, like forza/gran turismo and all that. I guess the best thing atari/eden could do to satisfy everyone is just set it as an option or something, where you can turn it off while racing with your friends and on when playing solo for example! As for ferrari not wanting to damage their cars...I agree their acting childish, just like you can't paint their cars the way you want (although you can mod that). But a game like this without Ferrari's...would be hard, at least for me, not that I'm a huge Ferrari-man, but I'd still kind of miss 'em...
  2. I don't mean to be rude but man, get a life! Eating and sleeping in TDU? Come on...to me that would just be a waste of disk space. You want to eat, sleep and walk around just play with GTA IV mate :cheeky: I do agree with you on more stuff in the shops though, something like, I don't know, Forza, its advanced without being too complicated. Also, I don't know what all the damage fuss is about...what's the point of having damage ? Its almost impossible not to crash into traffic in TDU since cars sometimes appear out of nowhere. Idk, I remember the guys from Eden saying that they did not include damage in TDU 1 on purpose, simply because they thought that when driving a Lamborghini for example, you'd want to keep it nice and shiny and not full of bumps...TDU is just a game where I really don't miss damage at all.
  3. Hi all, Stumbled upon this It sounds amazing! I was wondering if this could be of any use to a sound modder? Cheers
  4. Keep dreaming, this topic is like a hundred years old :p
  5. Reaper, I do understand, I just felt like getting it out of my chest. It's a good thing to take cars from other games, it just seems a bit contradictory you know? hehe, anyway, thanks for staying cool on the subject ;) It's just that you know, copyright is a huge discussion (microsoft for example, the music and movie industry) that's been going on for years now and I find it a bit "sad" when it comes to modding although there is no money involved.
  6. Hi guys, I really do not want to start any trouble or get anyone angry, also I know i have like 5 posts on this forum (meaning i'm still a n00b here) although I come check things out every day to see how modding in TDU evolves...but i always have a laugh when in some mods there's the usual "don't edit the textures or model without asking me permission first" BS...as far as I know, most of the mods until now are taken from other games like undercover, you guys certainly didn't ask permission to EA to take their models. Maybe it's time to stop being such hypocrites. It's fine if you created everything from scratch, that I can understand. Just felt like saying this. I'm not attacking anyone in particular, I appreciate like anyone else all the hard work that is done to give this game a second life, but come on...mods are free, you won't gain any money with them, so why all this "fake copyright"? It's ridiculous. Thanks for reading, Cheers ;)
  7. Grin, you're a great modder. Along with tool, you give this game a new life and I can't believe how many great mods you release one after another. Thanks :D!
  8. You need to use the TDU modding tool. http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=5990
  9. Fantastic mod. I have 2 issues: -It's too dark, exterior and interior (but I guess you already know that since most people have pointed it out) -Neither the GPS or the speedometer are displayed on my screen anymore although the option is checked in the display menu and as soon as I switch car it works again. Is this something only I is experiencing or is it supposed to be like that? Cheers
  10. The car looks fantastic but the spoiler kind of ruins it a little bit :/
  11. Well, great work tool, I find it very nice of you to create so many cars for all us TDU fans. I was getting tired of this game, even though I've been playing it since it's release on xbox 360 (but then couldn't be bothered to pay for live + car packs anymore). This game definitely needed some new stuff to get it going on PC because the car pack atari has released is sure nice, but it lacks a certain variety. I'm also very happy you chose to do an Impreza WRX to go with the evos (since I'm in impreza maniac :D), may I just ask which WRX you're making? My guess it's either a '98 (still the best looking impreza imho) or an '05-'06 (which are ok too, and I'm also guessing you'll rather be doing that model than the older one ^^). This question was probably already asked and answered (so sorry if I ask again, it's kinda late over here and I don't feel like reading through every page again) : are they all going to have a cockpit view? I remember reading something from basbas or someone else saying they were having trouble with the textures or whatever in the cockpit, reason for them not being available in the mods that were released until now, so I was just wondering what was going to be done or not on this matter. Anyway, take your time to do all this, no need to rush, if you're creating all those cars from scratch it must be very demanding! Good luck ;) H311
  12. This is awesome! I hope you got a place for a Subaru Impreza to compete with that evo X (but not the new one, it's the ugliest car on the surface of the planet) :p
  13. I just tested the V3.0 roads...at first I thought they looked a bit too fake but man it's a real pleasure to drive in the mountains now that it's much smoother! Thanks, great work WROOM
