    It doesn't matter if you speed as long as you don't get caught or bother anyone else and drive like a sensible person and not a jackass. I drive 90 km/h on 80 km/h roads every day on country roads. A lot of people does.

    I have a similar problem. On some cars i can hear it just fine but on other cars that are supposed to have turbo aswell you can't hear it at all even tho its selected in TDUPE. It must have something to do with individual cars.

    Mine also has parking dings. Really stings in the eyes every time i see them.

    It's the weight that does it. Old cars weigh nothing compared to new ones. Add a few well placed suspension mods and some power to an old car and it would easily keep up with a new one. My 406 weigh in around 1450 kg and my Corolla is about 850 kg, but it has no chance anywhere to keep up with the 406 (93 bhp difference). But i'm pretty sure with a few more horsepower, decent suspension and better tires it would smoke it on a track.

    No fueldriven car does slow. Cause then you're basically standing still and still using fuel which equals 0 mpg.

    If it's designed to make you lazy it just makes you less involved in actually driving, not the other way around. Which most new cars does.

    It really isn't a big deal. You just have a spare pipe of 40 cm to put where to CAT goes, and then for the MOT you unto 2 bolts and put the CAT back where the pipe is. Simple. And the cops will not in a million years know you drive de-CAT unless they physically look under your car which they won't cause why would they? A car doesn't make significantly more noise with a CAT there or not, and people are too dumb to hear the difference eitherway if you have a non-stock muffler. And there's always Race-CATs, but they are quite expensive

    Well the cops wont know if you havent got a CAT, as long as it's there for the M.O.T. So who cares about that :) We're not environmentalists here. My '83 Corolla haven't got a cat either but that's legal cause it's an old car that doesn't require one :D Nice sound in the 106!

    93 is still legal isnt it? Or is the limit at 90? I had a cop come up to me once complaining about that my exhaust was too loud aswell. He told me he'd bust me the next time he saw me if i still had it but i havent changed it yet nor have i seem him since :)

    Well that's not actually very much at all :D American trucks are far behind on power compared to European. Top of the range Scania R730 puts out 730 BHP and 3500 Nm of torque (2581 lb/ft)! Now there's power for ya! In a truck that probably weighs half of that Peterbilt :D I do have respect for the American trucks too. They look very cool :)
