  1. I've got the RWD Corolla for snow drifting :D Sadly, there's no snow..... --.--
  2. Why would anyone want that? To showoff that you're rich and be able to look down on everyone else? Big useless cars that does nothing more than a car half that size does.
  3. Yes, well i meant more in general and not to you only.
  4. You need to start working out if pressing a clutch a few times hurts your leg. I've driven manuals for 4 years now and only on 1 or 2 days of that time i felt a little strained in my leg and that was while driving the company Toyota Hiace with a heavy duty work clutch all day with a lot of stops everywhere. Not even once in a normal car. Here is the problem with today's kids that i'm worried about in the future. Everyone is too lazy to do anything themselves anymore. So everyone relies on tech to do everything for them. Read this (with comments) and you'll know what i mean: The secret danger of safety technology
  5. Not hardcore enough :D Mine's 4 speed and no power steering at all!
  6. Just so you know Peter Björck, who owns that car in the video has just Dyno'ed that very car to 1294 RWHP, and that's A LOT! :D All in an everyday street legal car!
  7. The sound is awesome, but i can't seem to get it working properly. It's in the game and all but i get some weird stuttering, interference sound that really cuts into your ears every 1 or 2 seconds during the turbo boost.... Nevermind. I got rid of the problem when i swapped the sound file in TDUMT. I did it in the BNK File Editor first thinking that wouldn't make a difference but apparently it did. Where can i get a hold of that BOV sound?! I love it!
  8. Okay. Well if you're interested in some stats the fuel price for diesel here is about 1.42 € and for 95E petrol it's 1.55 €. Which is way too much :(
  9. That doesn't make any sense at all :P 10L/100 is a lot! My petrol 406 uses about 8L/100km. 5-7L/100km on a diesel is alright tho, anymore than that i don't see the point in having a diesel at all. Maybe taxes and diesel is cheaper over there, idk. Im not being mean im just saying what i think :D
  10. Here's another reason why you should drive a manual: Not only are manual transmissions awesome, they're a theft deterrent
  11. No i haven't driven that much auto boxes, but i just don't like it when i do. And we don't have traffic jams here and i don't think i've ever been in one much longer than 15 min tops.
  12. Looks a lot like the Nissan S14 from the front aswell.
  13. Fair enough, in a car like a Ferrari or a Lambo i could stretch to drive an auto, but that has paddles still so it's not as horrifying, you do have some control over that still. But in a regular everyday car, no. And i see there are VW fanboys here defending the DSG box in all their might. And honestly, i've driven a Golf R with that box and i wasn't impressed. It was worse than i thought it would be. It's just like any other auto box..... No need to lift it up to the skies for that. And again you're all missing the point. Being stuck in a traffic jam and being happy about your auto at that particular moment isn't the pinnacle of driving a car now is it?
  14. Why is there wider tires at the back of a front wheel drive car? :D And those wide tires are bad for fuel economy aswell which i would imagine is the point of having a diesel. But if the company is paying then who cares :D I'm not a Ford fan but i suppose these look alright, and special editions are nice to have :)
  15. I certainly do ;)
  16. Thought i'd post my car here just in case you wanted to see it :D 2001 Peugeot 406 2.2l Inline-4 N/A engine producing 157 bhp / 218 Nm. 2½" exhaust with a 4" jap muffler at the back (sounds a little too much i'll admit... ) Adjustable Koni Dampers (height, stiffness) and Lowering Springs. Rims are Image Blade 7.5x17" on 225/45 tires. Semi-leather "sport seats" and fully equipped with everything exept a sunroof. LG CD/USB stereo and a 10" sub in the back. Xenon in Low Beam 4300k, tinted windows, 3 chrome lists in the grille. There are some more pictures in the link in my Signature....
  17. Yes in traffic jams auto is probably better. And i also know that the new auto boxes are miles faster than any human can shift by hand but that wasn't the point i was making. For the absolute driving pleasure and full interaction with the car the manual is still and always will be the only solution. Taking it another step further to hardcore is like my '83 Corolla. That doesn't have any fancy ABS or even power steering. It's just man and machine, no interferences. And i like driving that car, despite it's faults here and there.
  18. Well yes if you've got a disability it's fine by me. And i'd kill that 306! :D I've been looking around for exactly one of those over here but they only sell the 5 door version here and i want the 3 door as you've got!
  19. What tickets? Tolls? Moving an arm and a leg once every few miles isn't too hard work is it? We don't have those here so i can't say anything about that. And i didn't mean 200 mph, but miles in distance as a random example number. Sure they might be as genius as the guy who invented electricity but it's still an auto. It just doesn't matter.
  20. Automatic means the car is driving you, not you driving the car. To really enjoy driving you need to be all connected to the vehicle, not just sit along for the ride doing nothing. And what's the deal with auto on highways? I never got that. The highway is the place where you would absolutely least NEED an auto box. You accelerate to Top Gear, then stay there for 200 miles. Why would you then need an auto when you're not changing gears anyway?? Unless you're confusing highway with traffic jam. I mean no disrespect but i just don't get the whole idea :P
  21. A real car enthusiast does not prefer automatic over manual, no exeptions. If it was up to me they should ban automatic cars altogether.
  22. Here's a newer pic of my 2 cars :D http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n62/Rx_37/IMG_9644.jpg
  23. I wouldn't mind having one of those bikes either, but as always. Stuff costs...
  24. Yes well i do have some small plans for the Corolla in the future. But it's work as a winter car this year, to slide around in the snow with :D But i was thinking of putting a 4A-GE into it and if im really good, turbocharge it later on. Sadly parts are expensive and quite hard to find so it'll happen little by little. Here are some more pics: Garaget | Toyota Corolla (1983)
