Lotus has got really a pure mechanical sound. It's engine is just Toyota's staight 4, but the sound it makes is loud and powerfull, as in Shift. The transitions are not perfect, but TDU isn't helping with them having only three samples to put. But anyway, I'm giving this to your opinion. Enjoy! Edit: BIG update. In TDU, the S4 Cabriolet isn't fun to drive partly because of the handling and driving pleasure and partly because of the sound it makes. There is nothing exciting about it. However, now it is. And if Tool will make a new S4, it can be one of my favourite cruisers with a little bit tuning. Enjoy! As I said somewhere else, I will convert every (well, almost every) sound from NFS Shift. For now I won't convert Viper sound, because it sounds like a Gallardo except for idle revs (this is the sound I'm talking about, by holecsko: http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=14636) Nissan 350 Z sounds very good in TDU, but I tried to convert sound anyway. And it is practically the same. Even the backfire I applied from samples is exactly the same. So it is just slightly different sound with new starter sound. I really tried for a long time to put these samples with best transitions. And if it's good in 2 places, then it's rubbish in the last transition, so this is probably the best compomise.

I think TT in TDU sound like a straight 4, not a V6. In Shift it sounds much more meaty. Maybe even too much, but I converted it anyway. Here it is. Backfire can be easily deleted completely, maybe I'll upload a version without it if you want to. But as for to low pitch, I can't make it higher without ruining the transitions. Because Shift has samples for 5 different revs and TDU only for 3 different revs.

As I said before, here comes the next sound. Now it's time for Skyline, which didn't sound good stock in TDU. I know that stock R34 doesn't make as great sound as Gallardo or other supercar, but that did sound too quiet and too calm. Djey, I wouldn't bother if the gear ratios wouldn't be real. But I checked some of them and they're real - SL 65 AMG, Skyline, F430 and all of them were real. Anyway, thanks for trying.

I have a question: is there a way to find out how does in-game tuning affect the gear ratios? Because it definitely affects it. And, for example, if I'd wanted to make my Scuderia more realistic, I'd put it on F430 and tune it on 1 or 2 lvl. And it's easy to find gear ratios on the web, so I'd make them the same, but they will be good for stock ingame F430, not the tuned one, which I want. You know what I mean? So I want to change gear ratios for the tuned car, not the stock one, or just know how tuning affects it, so I can calculate and correct it. Thx in advance

You know, I always had this problem - I liked IS 350 a lot as a cruiser in TDU, but its sound was so annoying that I rarely drove this car. Now I've created a new sound for it based on the sound from NFS:PS and here I'm sharing it with you. What do you think about it? I'm recording these samples from NFS: PS and as there were no problems with the CLK, here I'm doing it for 5th time and I'm still not satisfied with results, too. But i think it's still better than the original one.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here, although I've been watching this forum for quite a long time. Yesterday I took my CLK 55 AMG for a spin and I found, that it sound awfully bad compared to real AMG 55 engine. So I thought, that I might give a try doing my own mod for this car. And here it is. I love the burgling sound of AMG V8, and that's much more like it! Try it and tell me, what do you think about it and what should be better. I'm new at this and I have a lot to learn.
