  1. Thanks for the tip! Do you know if its possible to share car set-ups?
  2. @Kelv, 2 questions -Are those images photoshopped or something? They look great! If no, what settings are you using? -What do you mean by Scandinavian flick? EDIT. I've just read the maneuver in wikipedia, I find it quite difficult to do... I'm using a pad and the same analog I use for accelerate it's the brake :hmmm: But of course will try! I found that editing the suspension and wheels I get better response in turns ;)
  3. I should've saw that one coming, specially here because we are car nuts. I know about Vauxhall or Holden (Australia) for example, though many people here doesn't even know what are they and that they are even GM. Here we get the "South American Spec", which has less things or different name or it looks different. For example the Golf, it was not until now that we got the same model (shape, to be more precise. I don't know the equipment) as in Europe of course apart from the first-gen-Golf. Agree, this went a bit off topic
  4. I think, that the discussion here has different points of view because we are from different countries, and even more different continents. I really get Milli's point of view, because Argentinean people with high end cars are people above mid-class (upper mid-class) but no necessarily rich. So what maybe what a guy from Portugal/UK sees as a "not a rich car" for a person from Argentina/Brasil it is, do you get my point? They don't know what VW GOL is in Europe :P And btw, I've also seen that here...
  5. Does anybody else feels that the McLaren understeers a bit?
  6. I get the 2 points of view of this discussion. It's ok, if can pay for a car doesn't mean necessarily you can afford it. And milli, for the everyday city citizen, as you said, any car with a small engine and AC (because everybody hates hot and cities :P ) will do the trick. Then why buying a bigger car? Because you like it, you can afford it, you enjoy it and any other things that anyone wants to add to the list. There are people that just want an Audi/BMW/MB or whatever but they don't need all those HP's so they get the "Base pack", and there's other who can afford it, can pay for it and they like cars and then there they go. I think that this conversation is related to every particular person here...
  7. I think everybody's opinion is worth at least there are some regulations here :P And regarding your point I agree, I mean if you have the money to get a car in the range of 3/C/A4 series and above then you have no problem with petrol prices... Btw, diesel here is has bad quality and premium diesel (which is the one to go for premium cars) is almost as expensive as premium petrol, so there you go...
  8. Don't forget, Calster, that racing is a proving ground for new technologies on cars. For example all the aero work or carbon fiber, now we have street cars (expensive ones, but are street-legal anyways) that have active aero and are made with composites. If engineers can prove a diesel engine can take over a race of 24h on a high regime, then they can use all that info into a street car thus making them more reliable for the average guy (who doesn't want to spend a lot in repairs). And I have to agree, those GT1 engines sound good, the petrol ones...
  9. I guess I'm pretty lucky. I drove for almost an entire week my dad's 328i (Sport, btw :P ) F30 on empty roads, here in Argentina. It's amazing how it reacts, when you want to overtake trucks and/or cars, and it gets pretty funny with the paddle shifter. Even better, my dad had no problem with me stepping on it though my mom yelled when I reached 180 km/h  I'm waiting for an invitation for the BMW Driving Experience... I could've go to one, but my dad erased the emails ¬¬ . Sorry for going a bit off topic.
  10. I can't talk much about how though some diesels are because there has never been one in my family... Well, talking about performance we have all Diesel Audi for LeMans, but talking about everyday cars (and not a Cayenne, I'm talking about something we can all afford), diesels do sound like "trac trac trac trac" when idling :P
  11. That P1 ! What game, btw? Messing around at silverstone. The new version of AC brought the M30 Group A (the less powerful version) and the DTM as an upgrade. The std version feels a bit slower indeed. --- Post Updated --- Another one
  12. You couldn't have defined it better! I'm a petrol guy, though it's getting more expensive every 2 months
  13. Few photos of my holidays in my country ;) At base of Mt. Aconcagua (the snowy peak behind), the second tallest mountain after Mt. Everest. 6.952m, almost 20.000ft. An emergency response helicopter in case something happens at the mountain. LV-ALN por Mauriciooo!, en Flickr Cargo mules for the people climbing the mountains. Mulas de carga por Mauriciooo!, en Flickr Car's dashboard. It was great to drive it for almost a week in all type of roads, ranging from dirt roads to highways ;). Was hard coming to my Fiat though :hmmm: Tablero por Mauriciooo!, en Flickr
  14. You are right! Should've read better :P
  15. Congrats on your new car patch! Enjoy it
  16. Yeah, I see. I've been testing this new update. I thought it would bring more cars and AI to all circuits, not just drag races. Anyways, both of the new cars are good and fun to drive ;)
  17. Ass ozz said, it's FSX and yes you need some addons to keep it enjoyable, because the game/sim by itself it's not THAT good. There are plenty of free addons (like the DC3 you see in the pictures) and many others are payware. These last are almost always better, and I say almost because there some developers that charge you for such crappy planes... Ryzza named Flight, well if you want a simulator it's not the way to go. If you want to have some fun and not shoot down anybody then it's a good choice. If you want to bring some people down, get War Thunder free to play or... Pay to win more likely or get IL2, a full combat simulator. Kelv, what lotus is that? Regards!
  18. Feeling like top gear... Road trippin' por Mauriciooo!, en Flickr
  19. Beautiful F40, how do you get black rims? I think the P4/5 is quite... Slow Anyways, I can't get enough of this track (Monza '66) Clocked 1:25:300 with the 599XX my best time so far!
  20. Too overdone :hmmm: Old track, new car. I've just set my new personal best on the track (1:35:xxx)
  21. What track is that Kelv? Is it a mod or a new release?
