  1. Bonus Pack 3 Out For Xbox One Xbox One players of Assetto Corsa can now breathe a sigh a relief as Bonus Pack 3 is now available for them too! Bundled in with update v1.20, the free content is one that PC players have been enjoying since December last year, and the PS4 for about a fortnight (despite some gremlins). After downloading players will be able to lap and race around Laguna Seca in all its laser-scanned glory and partake in experiencing the remarkable selection of cars included. Don't believe me, just watch this trailer from the PC release exhibit just how nuts it is that this pack has been given away for nothing. And just in case it wasn’t obvious from the video, or maybe you just couldn’t be bothered watching it, here are the cars that are added. Bonus Pack 3 – Cars Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huràcan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Alfieri Concept Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC With this looking to be the last drop of content for the title, it’s a hell of a way for developer Kunos Simulazioni to say their goodbyes. Anyone considering jumping in now should wait for the Ultimate Edition in April, though there are always promotions, so if that is too much of a wait just keep an eye out at the usual places. And don’t forget, there is also the brand new Assetto Corsa Competizione still to come later this year. Although a console version is likely quite a ways off... if there is one at all.
  2. Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 Out For PS4 Players of Assetto Corsa on PS4 can now go and experience the incredible Bonus Pack 3 content pack as part of the new 1.17 update. Xbox One racers unfortunately need to wait that little bit longer for theirs. (but they should be used to that by now :p) Despite taking close to two months more to land on console compared to that of PC, this generous gift from developers Kunos Simulazioni is one that has been well worth waiting for, as even though it is a free pack, the content included is in no way befitting of its zero cost price tag. For starters a fully laser-scanned recreation of the notorious Laguna Seca race track is the given circuit, and considering this could be seen to be good enough in most freebie cases that expectations could be lowered in regards to the cars... well that’s not the case here as every single one of the seven are quite simply remarkable in some way. In fact, it wouldn’t be surprising to see other games distribute them as star cars in at least two premium packs with filler vehicles making up the numbers. Funnily enough, with Laguna being a pride of the USA racing circuit, all of the cars are in fact Italian, featuring the four famous marques of Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Maserati and Pagani. All of which are listed below. Bonus Pack 3 – Cars Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huràcan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Alfieri Concept Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC CAUTION!! It should be noted however, that there have been reports of some bugs and issues with this update causing crashes. Kunos are aware and working on a fix but it may be a good idea to watch their social channels and forum for more information in regards to this.
  3. Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 OUT NOW! It’s here, it’s actually here! The Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 is now available FREE to download on PC Steam, and it contains everything we hoped it would. Adding a truly incredible selection of seven new cars and the Laguna Seca race track, Bonus Pack 3 is a thank you from developers Kunos Simulazioni to their community as the game celebrates its third anniversary. Being a free pack you might expect this to be lacking in areas but if there is one thing we have seen from previous Bonus Packs for AC, it is that they like to keep the quality high in the content they offer. Bonus Pack 3 – The Cars There is some obvious Italian favouritism in here in regards to the cars that come, but that is soooooo easy to excuse when the marques included are those of Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Pagani. Included Cars Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huràcan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Alfieri Concept Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC Bonus Pack 3 – The Track Laguna Seca, digitalized through Laser Scanning Technology, ensuring every single detail, every single bump, curb and slope to perfectly match the real counterpart. For those of you who were paying attention above, you will also have noted that a certain circuit takes up a slot in this pack, and not just any one either, but a long-awaited fan favourite: Laguna Seca. Laser-scanned in all its glory, the version found here is now the most up to date in any game available. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="7550,7551,7552,7553,7554,7555,7556,7557,7558,7559,7560,7549] Kunos have clearly wanted to make sure that they did the track justice, and from the images released of the in development and final version, we think it's a job well done. The pack is released as a part of the 1.16 update which brings with it fixes and other minor improvements, the list of which you can view below. Assetto Corsa v1.16 Changelog - New Alfa Romeo tipo 33 Stradale - New Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - New Lamborghini Huracán Performante - New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - New Maserati Alfieri - New Maserati Quattroporte GTS - New Pagani Huayra BC - New Laguna Seca Circuit - Corrected Porsche 908LH Fuel consumption - Corrected Pagani Huayra front splitter aero position - Added steering wheel alert on race start. - Potential workaround for launcher losing input focus after session ends; reported after Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. - Templates added for Bonus Pack cars - Various minor updates to digitial instruments in older content - Various minor graphical fixes in older content As for players on PS4 and Xbox One, you lot have to wait until early 2018 before you can get yours. How early is "early"? We wouldn't like to say but the wait will be well worth it!
  4. Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3: Laguna Seca Preview Images We’re only days away from the Dec. 20th release date of the feature packed Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 arriving on PC, and any worries about Laguna Seca not being in have now been settled with this batch of teaser images. Posted by Kunos’ Licensing Product Manager, Marco Massarutto, the images also give us our first look at another of the free pack’s amazing cars, the Lamborghini Huràcan Performante, shot in a manner that shows the track-honed baby Lambo tackling aspects of the circuit that many a racing fan will recognise – including the infamous Corkscrew. [caption id=attachment_7526" align="aligncenter" width="800] Taking the perfect line through the Corkscrew[/caption] There was little chance that the track would not be in but the missing mentions of it in official texts was causing some to ponder. However, the postings from Massarutto with the images from the track also contain the '#BonusPack' and '#BonusPack3' hashtags. More Automotive Awesomeness! Over the past few days some more of the cars that will be found in the pack have been revealed in both images and video. Showcasing just how formidable the Italians are in the sports, super and hyper car domain. And even though it may not be the one you would associate everyone to be looking at, especially amongst that superb list, the gorgeous Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has its fair share of fans eager to take it out on to the virtual tarmac. Not least because its inclusion was hinted at a while ago, and so the wait has been tough to handle. Hard to believe that “Bonus Pack 3” is FREE?! When you look at that list below, it is hard to believe that this is a free bonus pack BUT that is exactly what it is! And PC players have only mere days to wait before they get all of it. Assetto Corsa: Bonus Pack 3 Contents Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huràcan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Alfieri Concept Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 PS4 / Xbox One Release? There was a slight hope that maybe console racers would get the pack too in 2017, however it appears this won’t be the case as the latest Facebook post on the official AC Page Page states: ‘”Coming to console in 2018”. Well, you know what they say to those who wait, right? For now, all they can do is check out the images below and hope that it won't be too long before it comes to them too. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="7523,7524,7525,7527,7528,7529,7530,7531,7532,7533,7534,7535,7536,7537]
  5. Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 Arrives In December! The hugely anticipated Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 has been given a date for its PC release and it’s this month! The consoles are only tentatively mentioned with an “as s**n as possible” timeline at the moment. Arriving on Steam on December 20th, this monster free Bonus Pack from the Kunos Simulazioni team is frankly astonishing in what it offers. Not only does the collection of cars put shame to many of the premium packs put out there by competitors, but it has also been said to feature a laser-scanned Laguna Seca too. (at least we hope this is still the case) As for the PS4 and Xbox One, they will probably have to wait until early 2018 to get it, but that wait, should be well worth it. Along with this announcement, where we are treated to a short video of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, is the confirmation that the Maserati Alfieri Concept car we posted about very recently has very likely made its way in. We were sure this was the case anyway, but before it became definite there were six cars we knew were going to be included, but now official information mentions 'seven' as the amount. Assetto Corsa: Bonus Pack 3 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huracan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Alfieri Concept Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC Laguna Seca track With Dec 19th being the third anniversary of AC’s release on PC, to have this come out so close to that actual date, is ideal, and shows a continued appreciation and passion to celebrate the life of time of it. It should go without saying that if you are a keen racer then you really should have this game in your collection. It’s been supported with some outstanding free content over its time and the premium DLC is fairly priced too.
  6. Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 Bonus! Those fine upstanding people at Kunos Simulazioni continue to impress with their insane generosity towards their fan base, with the surprise reveal that there will be another vehicle cosying up beside those already announced for Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3. As if it wasn’t enough that this bonus pack essentially came about because of the delay in releasing the Laguna Seca track for the title, to which they then packed in a load of incredible vehicles alongside, they have now shown that the stunning Maserati Alfieri Concept Car will also be in it. In the video below which was streamed Live by Ak Informatica (italian) at the Monza Rally Show, were members of the Assetto Corsa team giving a preview of the Bonus Pack. At the 13:16 mark, the camera swings around to the curved monitor in front of a youngster giving us our first look at the new addition. (check out that rev counter!) Maserati Alfieri Concept Car Introduced back at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, the grand tourer exhibits a lot of the aggressive but sleek design cues that have featured on past and present vehicles of the marque. Along with a vision into how future models would look to incorporate some of the styling philosophy into their design. According to our tipster, the in-game machine will not be AWD or find its power delivered through a V6 Twin Turbo Hybrid. No, it will sport a lovely V8 and be RWD. An idea of how that just might sound can be seen in the NM2255 Car HD video below. With the third anniversary of Assetto Corsa’s initial release date approaching (Dec 19th), it is entirely possible that this could be the release date for Bonus Pack 3 itself. Whether that will be on all formats, or only PC, we will need to wait and see. Hat tip to Kelvjy for the heads-up!
