Watching your money makes you more adept at running over bodies and picking up what they dropped. I also find myself being a lot more aware of other players and also funnily, when I see a 8-9k Mod Shop sell I basically go nuts and HAVE TO HAVE IT!!! I don't have a problem with them nerfing missions and reducing their payouts, what I don't like is doing so much work for so little. Stealing what must be at least a 100k bag of product for Gerald and only getting 2k for it is a real bust! Simeon's I wish was based on how you brought the car back too, bringing it back in pristine condition or essentially on fire results in the same payment.

My new character is upto $51k. Not too shabby me thinks.

If the info is still on the cloud then it shouldn't be too hard to restore those back

Yeah the Social Club website is the same, which is making me think that it might be gone this time. I always wait it out just in case though. :)

I think I may have lost mine too, not sure, stats still show what I have but the Rank is reset back to 1 and I have no characters on my selection screen.

Racing can be good if you're sure you can place high otherwise it can be a bit of a bust. Though maybe it's because I typically get wrecked. :lol:

Well through missions and jobs and not spending crazy money on my cars I had 200k, just always do Quick Jobs and join Missions, that's where the good money is. Also phone Gerald and Lamar and get the tanker jobs and such too.

OMG "I've grossed well over a $1million". That's quite sad to be honest, I mean the heists are going to be where the big money is at when they are available. I'm seeing an increase in payouts at Lvl 25 so if I'm inviting, jump in guys! :cool:

Well after the patch you can't instantly replay missions now mate. They should have set a point where the missions start from to avoid this, but the main thing I believe is that it was a 9k payout for such a simple job. Me and Clarence did one last night that was hard and took a good amount of time and was only worth 5k. If you want to make good money then do this: steal higher end cars and sell them to the Mod Shop once every 24 'game' hours do the jobs and accept invites to jobs from others avoid conflicts with other players in freeroam as the money they carry and the amount of ammo you'll use just isn't worth it collect as much cash and weapons from dead AI

The job was called 'Violent Duct' and paid 9k for about 2-3mins of playtime because when you completed and then replayed it, you spawned right next to the checkpoint basically so just ran to it. I did replay it a few times but not soo much that everything I own was bought with it, in fact I've made about $300,000 through Jobs, Missions, Races and especially selling stolen cars to the Mod Shop. Not to mention if you actually do take those cars 'Simeon' asks for you get a good return on them. Also make sure to run around the dead and grab their cash and weapons, the latter saves you a fortune on having to purchase ammo! :cool:

You are asked to confirm before entering Multiplayer whether you would like to play on a temporary character, without the ability to save. If you confirm this option, please note that none of your old characters will be available for that play session, and the temporary character you create will not be saved. If you want to make sure the characters you create are saved, you should not proceed into GTA Online when the R* Cloud Servers are unavailable. Even if the services come back up while you are playing on a temporary character, that temporary character will not save -- you would need to return to Single Player and re-enter GTA Online to load your non-temporary characters and resume playing with the ability to save progress. Note: When exiting GTA Online, please pause the game and choose to return to Single Player. This will trigger a save and ensure that progress since the last auto-save is recorded. But alas, I went back to GTA V Single Player, hit my Guide button and went back to Dashboard and started the game again. This time of course selecting 'A' when it was loading to go Online. Again error message about the cloud but here is the difference, this time when I pressed 'Retry' the game gave me the message about the 'cloud being down' but it gave me the option to 'Retry' again. If you get this keep hitting 'Retry', however if you get the 'Character Select' with no characters showing, either back out or quit. DO NOT create a new character in the slot of your online character as you will overwrite that slot with a newer character compared to what is stored on the cloud and thus lose your online character. If you happen to lose your character while online, during the tutorial or any other event then chances are though, that it is gone. Also make sure to check your career overview on the Rockstar Social Club website and see if it still shows your character before losing all hope. (refresh a couple of times if it's blank) tl;dr: basically your character and stats is stored on a the cloud (a bunch of servers), if the cloud is running at maximum or if there is a connection issue then you character and stats cannot be loaded resulting in no character being shown to you.
