Tsuyoshi Koyama revealed that he, Aya Hirano, Jun Fukuyama, and other fellow voice actors and anime singers will be raising funds for victims of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster with an event outside a store in Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district on Sunday. The effort is a collaboration with Stand Up! Japan, a charity project led by Takanori Nishikawa (the singer better known as T.M. Revolution). As of Friday, the lineup of Sunday's event will include: Tsuyoshi Koyama Aya Hirano Jun Fukuyama Yui Sakakibara Daisuke Namikawa Chihiro Yonekura Hideo Ishikawa Minami Momochi Makoto Ishii Joymax Junko Iwao Haruna Ikezawa Ayano Yamamoto Luchino Fujisaki Yuichirō Nagashima ( "Jienotsu") The event will take place in front of Entrance 2 of the Yodobashi Camera Multimedia store in Akihabara from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. Also this was leaked intentionally imo, these Internal Use only videos seem mighty well crafted for something that would normally be used internally. Nice effects in places also. In response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami last week, TV Asahi launched a “Doraemon Charity Fund” to collect donations for the affected areas. On Friday, the network announced that it has reached more than 600 million yen in donations and will start sending money to the Iwate and Miyagi prefectures by March 22. As of Thursday, March 17, the “Doraemon Charity Fund” had collected 600,753,674 yen (only counting donations sent by bank transfer). TV Asahi has already decided to allocate 100 million yen each to the Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima prefectures; 100 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross; and 200 million yen to the non-governmental organization Japan Platform. Universal Music is releasing a compilation album called “Ai no Uta ~ Higashi Nihon Daishinsai Charity Album” on iTunes for a limited time, with all of the revenue going towards the disaster relief efforts in eastern Japan. 79 different artists have contributed a song to the album. The album is being sold for 3,000 yen between April 2 and September 30. The complete tracklist and comments from various artists can be found on the album’s website. The compilation is similar to another iTunes-only album called “SONGS FOR JAPAN” that was recently released internationally, featuring 38 top overseas artists. Source:TG

Yubisaki Milk Tea manga creator Tomochika Miyano launched a new series called Rika in this year's fifth issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal Arashi magazine on Friday. The series revolves around a second-year middle school student named Kazuya Nishizawa who peeps on his younger sister, the titular Rika. Yubisaki Milk Tea featured a high school boy whose hobby was cross-dressing and who was torn between two young women — his younger neighbor and a shy classmate. Miyano ended Yubisaki Milk Tea in March of last year. Tokyopop released Yubisaki Milk Tea's eighth and ninth volumes that same month, but has not yet released its 10th and final book. Source:ANN

The official website for the television anime Working!! confirmed on Saturday that production on a second season of the anime has been green-lit. The website also features a trailer in which several characters announce the new season. The official news page on the site lists some additional information, including that Atsushi Ootsuki (Ladies versus Butlers!) will helm the new series rather than first season director Yoshimasa Hiraike, and Takao Yoshioka will take over Hiraike's series script supervisor role. Music composer monaca and character designer/chief animation director Shingo Adachi will both remain on board at A-1 Pictures Inc. Although the trailer went online on April Fools Day in North America, its timing coincides with April 2 in Japan, and the characters in the trailer refer to April Fools being the day prior. (On April 1 Japan Standard Time, the site featured a different trailer which also referred to the popular pranking "holiday.") Last week, the series' website and manga teased fans that a "new project" was in the works, with the website featuring a countdown until April 1. Working!! is based on Karino Takatsu's manga of the same name, which revolves around a high school freshman named Sota Takanashi who works part-time among a restaurant's high-spirited, eccentric, yet cool staffers. The first TV season was announced in 2009 and aired during the spring 2010 anime season. NIS America, the American subsidiary of the Nippon Ichi Software videogame company, licensed the series last November and released it under the name Wagnaria!! earlier this month. The first season Blu-ray Box will go on sale on August 24 with re-shot high definition footage, character commentaries for all episodes (as written by Takatsu), and deluxe bonus extras. The character song series will have seven titles released over the course of four months. The first two titles will feature Sōta Takanashi and Popura Taneshima and will ship on June 22. Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine announced the first television anime series last April, which Crunchyroll also simulcasted. A prologue for the series was released prior to the first season's airing, bundled with the limited edition of the manga's 10th volume.
