  1. It's somewhat confusing. Infogrames owned Atari Europe & other PAL regions and had a stake in Atari Inc (USA) iirc. They bought Atari Inc completely and then Infogrames renamed themselves Atari. Atari Europe had a distribution business called Distribution Partners, Namco Bandai bought a 33% stake in this for €33m and then later bought the remaining a few months later. Atari Europe no longer exist and it's Namco Bandai Partners (NBP) that take care of Atari' + others (Fallout: New Vegas is another I think) distribution in Europe and other PAL territories. Eden used to be under the Atari SASU (Europe) division but I know that they are still Atari however NBP still deal with them also. Like I said it's confusing but either way it still works.
  2. Bobby there was a Doctor* who used his McLaren F1 to travel cross country from his homes in London to Switzerland often so I wouldn't say it's a horrible car to drive long distance. *This was an article in car magazine back in the mid 90's.
  3. So Namco Bandai Partners (NBP) have announced a September 2010 release then? Damn it, people are going to think I've known something for ages now. :run:
  4. They're getting better, they usually suffer congestion at peak times but lately they appear to have been updating their exchanges and such so will be interesting to see how they go.
  5. Simple answer: No the codes have all expired. I still have the Spreadsheet full of the codes that never got used. They had a 2 year expiry time on them and this expired in September 2008. Fizz why you feel the need to tell people how they can achieve said extra cars through means that are prohibited via the rules of this place is beyond me. Isn't it enough for you to just gloat that you have them like you usually do?
  6. Active Aero is like the ultimate little detail that you will always notice, if it's in I'll be smiling also.
  7. It would be beneficial if you could perform a trace route (Google "tracert") when you are experiencing an issue also.
  8. Demographioc = Majority, that's all. Chill out you old farts. :wise: Why in my day old people moaned about things other than games. :D
  9. stonking = amazing/incredible/fantastic/fandabbydosey/pure dead brilliant/quality/exceptional/awesome/godly/the dogs dangly bits etc...
  10. lol Tuesday morning 9AM *phone rings* "Hello" "Hey, the flight leaves in 90mins, bye" "Whaaa ...hey ...oh crap!" :D

  11. Nope. I'm guessing the volcano isn't helping mind you.

  12. Watch the Top Gear episode with James May and notice the engine could still go another 1000-1500rpm. Also the GPS hit 407.9km/h, the Veyron is supposedly limited to 407km/h. Bugatti could easily smash the record but they just don't see the need to. The SSC is probably only better than any other hypercar on this planet .....in Top Trumps. :cheeky: IMO they didn't follow McLaren at all, all they did was copy the design of 2-3 past cars, throw a Koenigsegg interior into it, lump in an engine, turbocharge it and make it light. McLaren designed the F1 to be fast by designing the shape, creating a new design principle in the complete carbon fibre monocoque, getting BMW to design and build a bespoke engine and lining it with gold for brilliant heat dissipation, planting the driver right in the middle for not only an F1 like focus and experience but for also weight distribution and then making do with what they had and getting the most speed out of it without adding more everytime. They said this is what we have to work with, let's do it and they did and way better than anyone could have imagined. So no offence but I think saying SSC followed McLaren in anyway is completely insulting to Gordon Murray and the McLaren F1 team who created an absolute masterpiece from scratch and not just some kitcar reject lookalike with a ton of power.
