  1. For some reason :fp: Fabien has moved the post that has now spread across not only many other places but is also on Google, elsewhere so sorry for the confusion if you get an error with the original link. New link here: http://www.tdu2.fr/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=303#p4777
  2. Races are 8 players from what it says, not sure about freeroam plus AI will pick the finish for some challenges meaning no getting to know the tracks for a change. lol
  3. That guy who wanted the TT-S/TT-RS is going to be hell to keep calm now. lol
  4. I'm more impressed with the relationship with McLaren to be honest.
  5. Thank you to rollingtheboy for the headsup and BATC42 for the scans and information. If anyone can translate it would be appreciated. :D Go check it out: http://www.testdriveunlimited.fr/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=311 Post has been moved: http://www.tdu2.fr/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=303#p4777
  6. I'm sure the whole PC server situation has been discussed many a time round a table at Eden.
  7. PS3 will more than likely have G25 support btw.
  8. I know about the history of TDU (5 years in the making iirc), I know about the disaster that almost killed the project, I know about the stuff that was meant to be in and was removed, I know that the concept art for TDU2 was very close to the original idea for TDU. I know that Atari and Infogrames came to loggerheads over when to release TDU2 and how to go about it. I know that after Alone in the Dark a large number of people were let go. I knew about High Life when the next TDU2 art and information was being shown and I know what has been going on due to 2 very good contacts who are in touch with Eden and 2 very very very good contacts who are actually at Eden. Believe me if news of a Test Drive High Life comes out that's set in a certain playboys paradise then I'll know that TD Next* is still very much alive and kicking but for now I believe that the report that stated about the write offs and mentioning TDU2 in this is more to do with how the original TDU2 was meant to be but they got wind of feedback and found that a true sequel is wanted rather than a TDU part 2. Unless you have concrete proof of what you say don't post it as fact as it will only turn into rumour and speculation and that doesn't help anyone. The screenshots are real, there was a press/media event in Lyon hence why all the magazines are advertising previews for the end of this month. Also if you do really know people, the name in the email printscreen I posted should be very familiar to you. *Note how long we have been saying TD Next, not TDU Next, TD Next because we knew about Test Drive High Life a long time ago.
  9. It was going to be Test Drive High Life but then they realised we were called TDU Central and that it would spoil it for us so they changed it to TDU2 to play it safe and not suffer our wrath.
  10. http://atari.com/news/167
  11. Do you think they'll make it backwards compatible for my Atari 2600?
  12. Your english is fine, your idea is umm unique and very out of the box and into the bushes, but hey that's what we need more free thinkers and less of the usual.
  13. I'd love to get the PC version as well as the 360 just to meet a vast amount of the PC contingent we have on here.
  14. Very nice, looking forward to your report! Thanks a lot.
  15. It won't be, it would be very difficult for them to do that with a multiformat title. (I don't know this for sure though) What I think they have seen with TDU is that how popular it can be and with perhaps the funds the DLC and Megapack has been bringing in extra, they will endeavour to do more of this. I know many people on the Xbox side who say TDU is the only game they bought all the DLC for. And I don't mean a lot of you guys here but CoD players, Forza players and such.
  16. Hello, welcome to TDUCk!

  17. Run is a tuuuuuuuuuunnnneeeeeeee and a half of cup sugar, whisk briskly and add to the eggs. Simmer gently for 20mins and serve!
  18. That island was called Treasure Island remember, iirc the intern mentioned it was somewhat based on Tenerife with parts of old Mexico being the dry desert like area.
  19. Nah not that, just that a lot of mags will be showing their own TDU2 info and previews.
  20. Need more new tunes added to the normal playlist as the same songs keep popping up from time to time, and no Scatman! lol
  21. Like many of you have said we don't know anything and won't know anything until we are either told or shown it. Could O'ahu be back in yes it could, but at the same time why go back to an island many of us know really well even if it did include a load of new roads. It would be good and like seeing an old friend of course, but if what we have been reading is true, then it appears rather than just loosely basing the roads and such on the location like TDU, TDU2 is in fact going to be extremely close to the actual Ibiza. Sometimes sequels like to try new things and go a slightly different direction to it's predecessor, these are true sequels they don't just throw the same thing at you and say pay for it again with extra added jam! No they innovate and grow upon the original's success and tbh I can't wait to see just a tropical island setting with dynamic day, night and of course weather. :D Wish the end of this month would hurry up though!
  22. Launch Pack, first DLC released.
  23. I should actually rephrase that by saying "those who use the tools available, to cheat". And yeah I know some people even though they may go way over board, still have a point despite how they may put it across. Thing is that can cause trouble for Eden and Atari from other publishers, I mean if someone takes a NFS model from their own NFS game and puts it into TDU themselves then that was on that person to do so, however if Eden or Atari in a way allow this to happen I imagine it could spell possible issues. I'm only speculating but I think if something comes along that wasn't meant to compared to something that had space made for it then their could be some ramifications against it. I think a poll could be interesting in the respect of a Mod Lockdown period to be honest, with after that time only mods in freeroam would be permitted.
  24. The mod-proof lock is something that has been mentioned before but then again look at us now, more than 3 years on and people old and new are flocking to TDU again, BUT finding certain mods are improving and yet at the same time spoiling the game. And this is even making people be more vocal in the condemnation of those who cheat. Like I said modding can reignite a game but you can't expect it to always be on the good end of the spectrum. Perhaps they could have a mod lockdown and then after this period unlock for the freeroam but keep the lock for Races, Club and Diner challenges. This way those who only want to mod for their own fun rather than trying to get an advantage or spoil other peoples' fun will get the chance. Hmm...
