  1. Lol. It'll do, it'll do. I should've probably started back programming VB since I remember shockingly little of C#, though I remember pretty much all of PHP, so I'm thinking my next TDU related project may be done in that, but it's going to be costly and there is a lot of logistics to work out. Anyway, TDUPE 2.0 is pretty much done.
  2. I don't know if I've said this before. I don't care about online players. Just like I don't care about motorcyclists :p Maybe. Just maybe. But the sheer amount of bandwidth used for TDUPE is over 10 times what I was expecting. Now onto the application. It is certainly something I can see the appeal of and would possibly like to create, but it is not something I would like to develop on from TDUPE. The entire point of TDUPE is to be able to install a mod on a low performance car (such as a Lexus) and then modify it to fit so you don't have to replace high performance cars you would otherwise use. And as I just typed all that the idea is appealing more and more to me and I've lost a lot of my arguments, but one still remains: time. I have none, I have an extremely busy schedule, half my staff are on Christmas holidays and I commute for nearly 6 hours a day. Due to the time restraints which have especially picked up for Christmas I've been developing for less than 10 minutes a day and as a result, TDUPE has 1 visibly recognisable feature (that isn't working yet) and extreme software bloat. Go nuts. I'll probably make a rough start (by which I mean a tecnically complete) on a beta if I can finish 2.0 tonight (just got this one tedious feature to finish). But you may be able to take it in a different and better direction than I can.
  3. Has to be modded in TDU to put a link on my site, sorry. Just got back from driving everyone around to look at Chrissy lights and may try and finish off 2.0 now.
  4. Djey's patch Editor is included with Djey's Modding Tools. On the main screen, just hit "Patches"
  5. Yes you are. I don't have time to create them myself and all but the Reventon on my site are done by Tool :p However, I do test them and all of the ones I've been sent for the Veyron weren't so great. Likewise, I'll only post them if the mod is of high quality. I am thinking of integrating the website into the editor so you can download packs and view guides directly from the TDUPE. But lack of performance packs is what's stopping that atm.
  6. I just bought a PS3 "for my niece" for Christmas. Starting to regret that.
  7. Make sure to download carData.mdb 1.4. Try using that, it fixes the GTO stuff. Yeah I recommend that. Though in 2.0 name editing is made sooo much easier.
  8. It's people like you who make me want to unrelease my editor. Speeds won't reach over 999kph anyway. And seriously, what's the point? Get a car to go 0-60 in 0.2s and top speed of 999kph. I (or anyone) could beat it around the track in an untuned Dodge Challenger... It's a grey area.
  9. I may make cop cars a more natural weight as a different mod. Extremely low on the priority list though.
  10. I've had two that stick in my mind. One would be the first time I drove. Can't even remember the car, was a Corolla or something. I lived with my best friend through my high school years due to school expulsion and family issues that arose from that, so I never got my L-Plates while I was in high school due to lack of legal guardian. So the instant I turned 18 I hopped in a car with my friend's mum and just drove and drove for several hours. Then, last year or the year before I was suffering from one of my usual bouts of depression I stormed out of the house, hopped in my Camry and just took a night drive around town...it was one of the greatest feelings ever, my mood just skyrocketed. However, it must have been something unique to that night because I have never been able to replicate that experience in any car since. Another highlight (made me feel important) was tearing down the 90 mile straight on the Nullarbor Plain with my friends before getting pulled over by police. Though instead of arresting us all, the two cops insisted we give them a ride in our cars. Then, to top it all off, they drove ahead of us for a ways until we reached Caiguna at the end of the straight. I've also had my share of bad experiences which I won't go into here.
  11. I can manage the first two well, though I somewhat agree with the Ruf. But the Ruf is a cinch to drive after spending 10 minutes in the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve.
  12. Restore your DB.bnk to its default. EDIT: Oops, misunderstood post.
  13. Nope. Could be an id issue. I'll check it out. EDIT: Car Data Database 1.4 Released. Patches this issue. Please download from http://tdupe.com.
  14. Yup. So do I. Just so you know, I am a businessman. Therefore I have no empathy :p The latter. It's actually my vengeance for failing my motorbike test. As well as for my neighbour, who goes to work on his bicycle (despite having 4 cars) at 6 in the morning. I know, they keep trying to race me, it's somewhat annoying. Wait for next release, it has bike editing. Though only so I can replace bikes with cars... You can also download TDUUT from my website which will decrypt .db files: http://tdupe.com/guide_tduut.htm In 2.0 it is much easier to use my tools :D It creates nonexistant names and everything. But for now, just use Djey's.
  15. Not really, just an internal value. Not exactly sure if it is meant to be something special since the value for a McLaren F1 is just 1 seat. And the seat number for the DB9 is 2+2 instead of just 4.
  16. I agree with more common cars (I'd never drive them, but variety is good) I believe Test Drive Unlimited should allow anything if it is road legal. Well as you'll probably be given around $50 000 to buy your first car, you should be able to straight up afford a new car. I want it to happen. Yet I don't :p Lol. Oh, and if that's aimed at me for my above comment, both my game and megapack are completely legal, hence I am able to play online to be able to complain about it ;)
  17. There are multiple ways to get around this. Since I assume you have no knowledge of XML I'll post the long, fiddly way. 1. Open TDUPE and load the TVR Tuscan (Skyline). 2. Click "Performance Packs->Export Current Car". A backup of your car's data (called TVR Tuscan.tdupk) will appear on your desktop. 3. Exit TDUPE. 4. Install the physics. 5. Open TDUPE and load the Tuscan (now the RX7).Press "Copy Data". 6. Load the desired replacement car in TDUPE and press "Paste Data". 7. Press "Save Car" and go to "File->Save Data". 8. Exit TDUPE. 9. Uninstall the physics. 10. Open TDUPE and load the Tuscan (should now be default Tuscan physics). 11. Go to "Performance Packs->Import Performance Pack" and open "TVR Tuscan.tdupk" on your desktop This will load the original (Skyline) physics. 12. Press "Save Car" and go to "File->Save Data".
  18. My tool can do it. I don't know if it changes the sound, but it should. 1. Run TDUPE. 2. Click on "Miscellaneous" tab. 3. Go to "Car Body" text box and change the ID to fit: Coupe - 5566317 Roadster - 5666317 Cabriolet - 5576317 Sedan - 5466317 Other - 5366317 Tell me how that goes.
  19. Yeah, see for me it's almost the opposite. While I reckon it's inconsiderate to crash into complete strangers, (unless their name is made up chat speak, in which case they deserve to get hit) hooning around is the part of TDU I enjoy. If I want to cruise around town, I have 3 cars parked downstairs in my garage built for that purpose. However, if I want to take a Bugatti or Zonda to their top speeds, which I can't do in real life for a whole complex range of financial, legal and common sense issues, then TDU is a mildly involving way to relieve that urge. (It is a game, not a simulator) The overall reliance on online mode also irks me alot.
