O.o I already purchased the Corsair. I figure since my current PSU is 250W and I am running everything fine, then I can run all of this on a 400W PSU. The 4850 is about 103W or so, so it should run fine. Unless something magically eats up more wattage. Aww why the hell did this get moved? I'm asking about TDU, not General Gaming. Now it will take like 5 days to get another response.

Me too. I was trying to run this game on a GeForce 8500GT 256MB and I barely could get 20FPS or so on low settings and a lower resolution. Look into getting a Radeon 3850HD or something close. Probably about $80.00 for one. I suggest Newegg.com for new parts.

As I have discussed before, my GeForce 8500GT just isn't cutting it. It's making the game a lot less fun. So with a pursuit to have a better graphics card, I did my research. I will be getting a ASUS TOP 4850HD 512MB card. Core clock and memory clock are decent, has good reviews. I'm also getting a new PSU. And to my surprise, a friendly man on another forum I attend offered to give me a new processor for free as long as I pay shipping. He said he had a new one and didn't need his old one. Turns out it's a AMD 64 X2 6400+ Black Edition dual-core processor. Now I must ask do you guys think this will be substantial enough to play TDU on at least medium settings and 1280x1024 resolution? I hope so, but just asking. Current processor to new processor: AMD 64 4000+ @2.6GHz single-core to AMD 64 X2 6400+ @3.2GHz Black Edition dual-core Current video card to new card: Nvidia GeForce 8500GT 256MB GGDR2 to ASUS TOP 4850HD 512MB GGDR3 Current PSU to new PSU: Stock Delta Electronics 250W to Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400W Current RAM: 4GB DDR2 667MHz Obviously I know this will be a substantial upgrade, but can anyone tell me how my performance overall will be after this upgrade. I'm hoping it will be a big jump from my current specs and hopefully I'll be able to play TDU with good settings finally!

I want to create a sound mod for the Carrera GT that sounds like VRAlexander's CGT. I am new at modding so that I why I am asking for help. If we can get this done, it will surely be the best sounding car on TDU :).

Mmkay, thanks :). By the way guys those were just estimates; I don't have anything to tell me an exact FPS so I just had to guess. But I still I get approximately 10-15 FPS is what I think. Plus I don't feel the need to get a whole new grpahics card just because of TDU. Most of the other games I have run fine, it's just TDU.

Please excuse my qaudruple post, but if someone could help me do this, it would be a great sound mod. I don't have much modding experience so I'll need a little help. Thanks :)!

Well I tend to not notice the lag once it gets to around 25 fps. And right now I must be getting 15 tops. Unfortunately, I just bought this graphics card, so I won't invest in a new one in a while. Like I said in my first post, I can get up to 55fps on rFactor with everything at maximum. I guess it's just TDU.

So then it would be because of the graphics card?

Well it's not low end. What I used to have was low end (GeForce 6500SE - it was bad). I guess it's just because my processor is only a single core.

HDR is off I think. What I believe is happening is that my computer is getting bottlenecked because I have a single core processor but a high amount of RAM and a relatively high-end graphics card.

Hey guys. I finally got TDU working today. However, my FPS (frames per second just for anyone who is unaware O.o) is just terrible. On some other racing games I play like rFactor, I got up to 55 FPS. With this, I am probably getting under 20 and looks really sketchy. I have the detail on low and Antialiasing off. Refresh rate is a 60Hz and I'm on a lower resolution than my screen really is. My specs are: AMD Athlon 4000+ @ 2.6Ghz Nvidia GeForce 8500GT 4Gb of DDR2 RAM "19 Envision LCD screen at 1280x1024 or whatever it is Windows Vista (32-bit) I really think something is worng because I've seen videos of people with like GeForce 7600's and they run better FPS than me.

And now whenever I try to download TDU, it fails about 1 hour through (using Firefox, Download Manager won't work for IE7).

Screw it. I'll reinstall everything.

Only problem is how do I uninstall the patch?
