it does count for something, you can tell the difference between rfactor and burnout just by looking at it, if you cant then you shouldn't be commenting on physics anyway. i really hope they are listening because everything else looks great but they run the risk of failing badly if they dont get the handling right. i also think they should reconsider a hardcore mode, i know they want to bring it all together rather than having two separate physics, but i think its good to separate the serious gamer from the 10 year olds.

maybe we should have a poll to see what people want in respect to more realistic physics

this pains me to say, but after looking at the vids that are not on the tube, which aint about the beta, looking at the way the cars handle im thinking im not going to buy it. after 4/5 years of waiting it looks like they have made it worse, im gutted, they have gone more towards burnout than forza, the cars handle more arcady than arcade mode in the first one

thats true, but we knew when those games were being released at the time of announcement

does anyone think that atari had no intention whatsoever to release the game on the original date, i thought it was suspect at e3, games that were being released in 2011 were being played and showed ingame footage.. wouldn't it have been better to give a more realistic date to begin with, rather than saying ok its in development and its going to be out in a few months, getting everyone exited, then saying right now its going to take twice as long as we told you it would and pissing everyone off.. dont get me wrong i would rather wait and get a better game, but blatantly lieing to our community is rubbish,

cant find the right thread to put this post, but they have shut tdu1 servers down, which means the beta is coming, but what about the people that are still playing tdu1

i thought the same, i watched games being played that are going to be released in 2011, yet no gameplay from tdu2 and thats released in 3 months, its a bit worrying...

well.. actually.. the ultimate for me would be rfactor physics in the tdu world with all the crazy set up stuff, but you know what although its not going to be like that i think its going in the right direction, ive been playing games since pong and jet set willy, im often amazed at the progression in graphics and physics, tdu2 is so close to the mark it hurts.

yeah too much realism would scare the casual player but thats why theres assists right;) im happy with alot that they are doing but play with the wheel/H shift clutch remains to be seen

i reckon even gtr is a bit arcady when you compare it to rfactor/nkpro/iracing:lol: im with terzer, the more realistic the better. also a few games do a easy tune hard/soft under/oversteer, im not sure about anyone else but i think another hardcore mode would be good, for the more focused of us.

i would be happy with just throttle relative to revs, plus they have already had it in there so nothing else would suffer. all i do is cruise and i think thats what gave the first one so much replay attraction (for me anyway) so it would have added to the game rather than be boring.fingers crossed for the dlc then i suppose.
