Buy a CLK GTR Street Version. You will be able to upgrade it to the Convertible or the Race spec (big wing). Also upgrade it to the Super Sport variant, with the 7.2l engine.

Since we are dealing with mods, and not every car has the center exactly at the center, i use overhangs to balance the weight of the car. As some cars had a front drop once you start moving.

Cien was removed because it was really badly made by Atari. Doors had gaps and whatnot. The Lykan replaced the Cien.
Custom cars are meant to be modded by the players, like people always did. But as a matter of fact, maybe 5% of the players actually use them.
Not really, no. TDU lack Porsche sound mods.

You don't need TDU Megapack to run Platinum.

TDU Platinum is a mod. Not a full game. You need the game first, it says in the first page, first post of this thread.

Sadly a lot yet. I've been extremelly busy lately, almost zero free time, and when i get free time, i'm tired to work on the game and i end up passing out. lol  But it will happen, i promise.

That's exactly what i tried to do. But the problem i found is that bots simply can't handle well. They start to mess up the corners, and go straight into the bushes. Plus, each bot has their own "skill". Set every bot at maximum "skill" breaks the game.

I want many things aswell, but sadly, some things are beyond our capabilities. The best way to make TDU hard is to use underpowered vehicles for the events, in hardcore mode.

It does. But he is either without big bnk activated or messed up in the installation of the original game.
For the online profile, use a vpn just to get the first time connection.

A bit of google would help. That error is in your computer, probably DirectX related. Not game, or mod issue.

Well, new cars, "new races", new music, overhauled cars, like Astons have new rims, new sounds... It is more down to detail polishing.  As i said in Discord, it feels like a DLC. Lol

Guys, progress is happening, at slow pace, since i have even less free time, but TDU Platinum v2.0 (a.k.a former update 1.13 that grew enough to be called v2.0) is happening.

No, because that's how the cars are actually geared in real life. It's not something you active-deactive.

As Marc said. They have little changes, mostly downforce level based on how big their wing is, but other than that, they are basically the same.  I didn't really wanted to lock the player to choose a specific bodykit because the performance, so, you can pick whatever bodykit you like most.

Traffic sometimes get damaged by TDU low polygon roads, leaving their bits on the road, sometimes invisible, so, if you drive behind them, they might damage your car. I recommend that in bumpy sections, drive on the shoulder. Or in the wrong lane.

It's mostly because the .exe can't handle more than 1gb of ram usage, with the 4gb executables, they can handle up to 4gb.  Some mods, for some reason, are not well adapated for the game, and require more ram. Mostly Miha's mods.

That is not a problem of the game. If you use 6th at 60mph, you'll be able to accelerate. It is a matter of how the car was made. It's top speed is on 5th. When you're racing, you should not use 6th.

And what you should do is get a closer to 5th gear ratio, and recalculate the 6th theorical top speed, reduce 10% of such result and set this value as top speed.

    Yes.

TDU takes a while to connect, so you must wait for a while. Although, you may not be able to join a session for different reasons. Session could be full (max 8 players), session could be broken, which requires players to remap, session could be isolated, or you just can't stabilish a good connection with the players.

-Always remember to make a backup of your game before you perform any modification.
    - For existing profiles, it's recommended to sell your vehicles and stay only with an Alfa Romeo GT BEFORE you install TDU Platinum.
    - If you're not feeling like selling all vehicles, just drive off the house with an Alfa Romeo GT BEFORE you install TDU Platinum, but this method might crash your game once you check some vehicles in the garage.

      Q. Why does some vehicles display an absurd Top Speed?
That's because how TDU was codded. Sadly, to get the gear ratios to work as they should, you must set the car's Top Speed as the top gear speed. Which means, the maximum speed that the final gear could achieve, regardless of it's power or drag. Usually, vehicles that have an "Overdrive gear" will display absurd values, since the last gear is really long, with the porpouse of fuel saving.

     Q. Ok, but why it is actually the Top Speed value is lower than the final gear speed?
That's because TDU, by standard, adds around 10% more top speed. So, if a car final gear speed is 330 km/h, if you set as 300 km/h, in-game the car will reach 330 km/h. Now, if you set 330 km/h, the car will actually be faster than it should, and will reach 363 km/h.
Deducting 10% of the speed makes not only the final gear accurate, but every gear will top at the correct speed, if your gear ratios are correct, which means the speed you need to shift will also be accurate.

    Q. Why the car classes are broken and i have overpowered vehicles for it's class?
Because that was the easiest way i found to get these high-power tunes and keep the game "easily moddable".  TDU will only understand a car class change if it reads a new entry on the database. That being said, i would need 4 entries in the car database, for 1 single vehicle, 1 entry being it stock, and 1 new entry for each tune kit.  That means instead of 880 vehicles, i would need at least 3520.  Not to mention that if someone decides to modify that 1 vehicle, they will need to modify the tuning its aswell.
That not only means it would take a long time, but that it would make the game much more complex to be modded, so i used the original upgrade system, that's based on % increase of the base vehicle, but sadly, it doesn't support class changes.

     Q. The traffic in my game is being glitchy and invisible, what do i do?
In the Project Paradise Laucher, make sure to enable V-Sync, to lock your fps to 60. The game won't do well with higher fps.

     Q. The game is displaying too much brightness, what i did wrong?
Usually the dealerships display a higher brightness than the road environment. But also, that could be caused by FX Tweak being enabled in Project Paradise Launcher. TDU Platinum weather system was developed to not require FX Tweak, if you enable it in the launcher, it may override the weather files.

     Q. The physics have been changed, but they seem the same?
That's because the physics engine is the same, but TDU allows each car to have their individual physics worked on, and that's what's been changed. To match real data, because TDU has messed it up even on the original game.

     Q. TDUPE is not working?
Yes it is, but unfortunately i've stumbled across an issue i thought i would have. This issue happens when the database has over a thousand entries, which is the case, since TDU Platinum's database has 1105 entries. So, to use TDUPE, you must follow these steps:
To run TDUPE, you must open it as admin. Point your TDU database directory in the settings and click load. Once it has loaded the database, search for the Custom Car you replaced in the car list. Modify and Click save. (That is when the problem starts.) Because TDUPE can't deal with more than 1000 entries in the database, it will make the game crash, to fix that issue, you must open TDU Modding Tools File Browser. Extract the CarPhysicsData.db, located inside the DB.bnk. Decrypt CarPhysicsData.db using TDU UT (this tool i did not provided, but it can be found on the forums) Open it using notepad and set the number of "Items" as 1105, save and close. Encrypt the file again, using TDU UT. Replace the new CarPhysicsData.db inside the DB.bnk.
       Q. Do i need the game or this is a standalone game?
No! You need the game first, this is a mod and won't work on it's own.

The fuel mod is part of the Project Paradise, i don't know how to help, as i don't use fuel mod myself.

In general, how fast it can corner, but the handling bar is a bit iffy, as the value displayed is just a value that you can set. But it's not easy-hard, that's for sure...

Neither do i. I can't really help much if you start to modify the game. Many things can cause TDU to crash out, so it is hard to pin point exactly what could it be.

Different rims have no performance change at all. They're just visual.

And tuning in Platinum works this way, some cars have 1-step tuning, and some have 2-step. What that means?

1-step tuning : Regular tuning level, stage 1, 2 and 3, like for example, Ferrari F355. It has a 1-step tuning.

2-step tuning: It's when there is a model change, body change, version change or class change. Sometimes even roof on-off (Honda S2000), is classified as a 2-step. It works this way, first you choose the model/body/version you want (Usually stage 1), and then you can re-tune it, to stage 3.  To notice a 2-step tuning, just notice the car flick when you change between tuning stages in the tuning shop. If the car disappears, and appears again, it means something is changed, even though the outside might be similar. Sometimes it's an engine swap, sometimes it's a small detail...

But appart from those specific 2-step tuning, get stage 1, 2 and then 3 makes no difference at all. You can usually jump straight to 3, unless it's a 2-step tuning kit.  Confusing, yes, but that's the way i found to have more variety without overload the database. Lol

That was a feature TDU used for G class cars, i tried to keep it that way. Their availability changes from car to car, according to their rarity. 1 being always available. DB4 Zagato, which is very rare, has a rarity of 0.2. But a Mitsubishi Starion, has a rarity of 0.8. So you're more likely to find a Starion available more often.

As Djey said, their location doesn't change at all, just the availability, and when a car pops available, it will have a random spec assigned for that car, so, rims and colors might be different than you expected.  Regarding to colors, you can always use the 3 factory paint shop across the map, one in the city, one near Triumph bike dealer and another near Saleen-Hennessey-Shelby dealer. But the rims, you need to wait it to be available with a set of rims you like. Lol
