  1. http://www.ibizaholidays.com/Car_Hire/road-rules.asp LOL, this article really cracked me up as much as it makes me affraid of what to expect if Eden goes for more realistic and true-to-nature AI. I actually wanted to find something more about the length of the roadnetwork and everything, but this was also interesting :p . The petrolpart sounds good with the amount of petrolstations, that was one of the bigger fears in the wishlists before TDU2 was announced. Here are some nice and/or interesting quotes: And for the private jet pictures in the TDU2.com slideshow: http://www.ibizaholidays.com/privatejet.asp
  2. Ow, then I missed that bit :P Thanks for clearing that up.
  3. If we do that we need a mid-driver setup so the character has enough room for dresses, and it would be impossible to close the roof. Then again, who needs to close the roof if the hat covers the entire car against rain :D
  4. At least 2 or 3 63-AMG's, I don't care which ones, they all sound awesome. The SLS-AMG should be in too, sofar I don't think there's a PC game in development that has it, whereas it already made its debute by being the covercar for GT5. For the SUV's I wouldn't mind the latest G55, but I'd prefer an ML63 AMG. I also would love to see the C111 IID or C112 in the game, as I think the games that had it can be counted on half a hand. And ofcourse CLK-GTR, perhaps even as roadster :D But my main hope, especially for Mercedesses, is that if they choose cars that are currently in production, that they some more recent versions. The CLS55 and CLK55 were already outdated when TDU got released since they had facelifts and the 63's, and the SL65 was the very first generation. Other than MB would personally have to be a Diablo and the EB110 GT (not the SS, its spokerims are ugly and simple). And if there are nice areas like where that Concours d'Elegance are always held, I think some unaffortable classics, oldtimers and superrare exotics should be in. I also hope that the models will be more realistic than in TDU. I mean, they weren't really horrible, but lots of proportions were not correct, such as the width of the Pontiac GTO, the wheelarch sides of the CLK-GTR, and some more I forgot. And the bug of wheels changing sizes when tuning should be gone :P
  5. Cool. Somewhere I doubt they already have new shocking stuff, but untill now almost every article had at least one new bit of info, so I think it's worth to keep an eye on. BTW, I do hope this month will still bring that Lyon event for TDU2. Maybe it was a simple rumour, but with all this it could still happen.
  6. LOL, and ye I noticed some guys in here like a bit of variety when it's about nicknames :P. Thanks Tom and DJ :)
  7. Thanks guys ^^ @TDU66: ye I once read that I believe in the TDU: Online topic. Nice to see you here ;) @CarboyZR1: agreed! :D @Fpoon: yeh, I always had an interest in modding games. Maybe I'm gonna try to mod TDU1 before TDU2 comes out, and if it won't work, I'll wait for TDU2 to become moddable :D. But first I will then need to sort out a glitch I recently got in TDU. Btw I love the quote and the avatar xD
  8. I totally agree about that star sky picture. Now that we have night, we need some nice space skies. The last time I saw really nice nightskies in a game was in either Fuel or in NFS3 on that Summit track, with the auroras. And I totally agree about the foamparties. Although they can leave the men out. :P That poolpicture with the weird palmtree also looks awesome. Imagine this, but with all sorts of exotic cars in front.
  9. If the new possibilities of carcustomizing includes the AMG Performance Studio I'll go balistic :D
  10. Well it was worthy of news because we didn't know yet how much longer TDU2 would take to play than TDU1. And there's always the articlewriter to blaim ^^.
  11. Thank you all :) @Fork: Merc-head (the, abbrev. for Mercedes-head, pl. Merc-heads or Mercedes-heads): enthusiast with a major preference for the german Mercedes-Benz automobile brand, mostly focussing on but not just limited to automobiles and heritage. Did I win? :D @The Queen: ye there is a Ruthless Viper over there ;). You're right that I'm also on that forum.
  12. Well I've read through the article and the only new thing is that the playtime is 3 times as much as TDU1, the rest is already known by the previews and official annoucnement ;)
  13. I'm going to hold myself over untill TDU2 by getting the Episodes for Liberty City for PC. I doubt it'll keep my playing it till fall this year, but it will take away some time.
  14. I hope they'll fix stuff like reflections and the bumpy roads, further I'll just wait till I can play the game, mainly when it's about the environment. I've seen the same with Fuel already. It got in the Guiness Book of Records for having the largest gameworld on a consolegame and you saw all sorts of tornadoes, beautiful views and everything. However, when the game got released the gameworld was just big, nothing else. The world was empty, repetitive, empty, boring, and empty. And tornadoes were only present during specific races, not in free roam. So all in all I hope for a lot but for the gameworld I'll wait till it's released. Ow, and I hope the PC will get at léast all extra's the consoleversions will get. I've played a lot of Race Driver GRID and also Shift is a nice game, but for Grid there are like 2 or 3 DLC's on consoles, while only 1 was announced for PC (but never got released), and Shift is also getting a Ferrari pack (don't care about ferrari though) and an Exotic Cars pack, only on console. BTW, what are the chances of a little extra for people who already had a TDU account? For example, if you have your TDU savegame and put it in the TDU2 folder, that you get like 2 or 3 cars to start with, or a startersbudget.
  15. :bananahello: Noticed quite some dutch people on this forum, so I'm adding another one :P So I'm CLR-GTR, 20 years old and a huge carlover, mainly Mercedes and AMG aimed. I decided to register here since I have been visiting this site for a long time already and now that TDU2 is coming I wanna join in at this forum ^^. Some details, I have ''forum experience'' for like 8 years now and I'm a moderator at a small dutch designforum. I draw a lot on paper, but in the last 5 years 3ds max started playing a bigger role since I can make stuff more realistically and more detailled. Most recent drawing I made, the C230 Kompressor with Evolution AMG pack: http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l263/CLR-GTR/C230Sportcoup2.jpg I'm now mainly focussing my free time on getting a multimillion poly Mercedes done: the C198 CRK-AMG (non-existing). Quite a big project, just to name some stuff: 10 paints all Mercedes-official, several interiorcolor combinations, 3 steeringwheel finishings, and 3 rimdesigns of which two have 2 different colors. So that's about it, I hope those imagesizes aren't too big, if they are I'll find another way to upload them if wanted. Oh, one more thing... TDU2 :chewy: weee
