  1. Just like what happened when TDU Paradise's online revival was announced/released. We undug a whole layer of interweb thought to have turned into WayBack Machine material.
  2. I got tired of all the NEW labels in the garage so I decided to take a look at some of the cars I didn't view and tune yet. For the Renault 5, there were some very interesting bodykit combinations possible, and that made me go for a bit of a vintage racecar look. Drives very funny too, bit of a handful at times but so quick. To complete the look of an old racecar, I made this livery. And I got the Insurgent (or Terradyne Gurkey or whatever)... I tuned it fully with engineswaps and had to change gear ratios to make it do 0-10 (ten) km/h in under 5 seconds. Then I decided I got tired of the standard engine sounds and I went back to the heavy-sounding stock engine. That one tuned still drives pretty well :)
  3. Don't think so, I've long lost all my TDU1 photos and from other games I hardly have anything because they usually didn't have photomode :( Then it leaves me with renders and that's not gaming. So I'll just stick to voting for this round :nods:
  4. From my side, I can't join because I don't have any other racing games installed than FH3 and FM Apex. :p
  5. And the photomode wasn't too horrible when you'd zoom in, showing massive LOD degrading of the landscape.
  6. True, but at the same time you can wonder how much somebody will notice of active engine mounts if that person isn't shaving laptimes 40 hours a week. Some could say it's just another thing that can break down. But ye, really listing what you get extra, a GT S vs GT offers more bulletpoints difference than an R8 Plus vs R8 V8. Unless somebody really only wants a V10 and be able to say it has that. Remember though Merc does the same thing. The x65 AMG used to be a rare top-notch offer, now it's as wide available as they can including on that ladderchassis container, it's being surpassed in terms of performance yet it costs around 100K more than a 63. But people will still buy them. It's a V12 with 1000Nm, still more than a V8 900Nm, and it's more expensive when new so they can show off even more and be able to say ''I bought the best one they had''.

  8. The E50 will be the inline 6. But they want to debute that series of engines in the upcoming S-Class facelift first before they bring it into the other series. I don't know why there's no E63 Coupe yet. AMG said they'd do it because they confirmed themselves that they had misjudged the possible interest in an E63 Coupe with the current outgoing gen. However, I'm afraid the E50 will be as much as we'll get, which I consider not a real AMG.
  9. Here's the new E-Coupe, C238 for those who like codes. Will come with new engines, top of the range model for now will be the E400 but eventually stepping up to an E50 AMG version (would have formerly been called a 450 Sport... so it's not a 'real AMG'). Unlike the W205 C-Class and W213 E-Class sedan and estate, buyers can opt for júst the touchpad on the center console to operate COMAND, instead of via a rotating controller.
  10. And that raises a question for me: for a studio that usually only makes WRC games once every while when it's about cars... how can they get more funding for licensing of cars than Atari? It was disappointing already to have 103 cars of which 20+ were divided over club-exclusives, pre-orders and DLC in TDU2... how will they ever get that sorted out?
  11. That would be Kylotonn Games then. They have more automotive projects than just WRC, including for Renault and Alpine. I can't really say I'm blown away by the model accuracy of the Alpine and a few shots of the Megane (which appears alright in other shots). They do have this up already: http://www.kylotonngames.com/pages/automotive.php?page=nextproject
  12. Is daddy still the DJ? Will Stuart and the Wilder Brothers still squabble? And will female front apron still have more realistic physics than a sub-100-units list of cars? Definitely interested to see where this will be going.
  13. Mercedes CLS :D And on a more serious note: I can't pick a single one so here are a few: Volvo "Iron Knight", Mercedes-AMG E63, Alfa Giulia QV.
  14. After a 4.43 GB DLC download, another 4.25 GB game update download, and a 375 MB GPU driver download... it finally works. Nice views during the 'intro'. :D Last two pics were made with very low exposure to mimic night-time, but in a few minutes I found out the game looks like that anyway so I could have saved myself the effort :/
  15. It's available. For PC, the DLC is 4.43 GB but requires a 4.25 GB patch to work. After that, make sure Windows itself tells you the game has just been updated, and then you can start it. For NVidia GPU owners there is yet another step though, to install the latest driver 376.19. Definitely more steps and time than simply adding DB7.viv to the Cars folder like in '98...
  16. And the C looks a lot more stuffed onto a rather short chassis. I like the proportions of that Insignia coupe shop more than the fastback-ish shape of the C.
  17. Little bit of info: tomorrow is release day for Blizzard Mountain DLC. It will be around 3.66 GB as mentioned by a forum moderator at forzamotorsports.net, and it will go live at 6PM UK time (10 AM PST).
  18. Ofcourse a new Insignia means photoshoppers can get to work: Yes please! Yes?
  19. LED. They use irregular Lambert reflectors to create a look that they call Stardust. They get fitted to the vehicle if it has been ordered with the high-performance LED headlights or the Multibeam LED headlights. Here's the leaked brochure of the E-Coupe. The license plate stands for: S: Stuttgart EC: E-Coupe 238: C238, the vehicle code for the E-Coupe, similar to BMW's E/F/G codes.
  20. E-Class coupe teaser: I like the AC vents, and from what I've seen on spyshots this one, like the S, might have better proportions than the C-Coupe. Also it's rumored to get an E50 AMG version with the new 3-liter inline 6 with electric turbo.
  21. Ye and it's also faster than the 7:13 they managed with a 918 Spyder. But that's just one driver of the several who did it and perhaps one of the slower ones.
  22. To celebrate the new DLC because AMGAMGAMG... Definitely how I'd want this: Because Toyota/Subaru could have done more with this:
