  1. Quote from the article: Why do they cause bad luck to anyone who uses them? That sounds rather bad for TDU2...¬¬ :p But man does that page give a headache, numbers everywhere. Kinda reminds me to that story that if you let a monkey type very long it'll come up with the work of Shakespere or something.
  2. I totally not agree with musclecars fitting in just as good/bad as hatchbacks. Musclecars are totally incomparable. They have huge engines with huge output, and they are iconic cars. Those are the cars many dream of and many admire. A Daewoo/Chevrolet Matiz, Opel Kadett or Ford Ka are totally incomparable to such powercars. You also have to be carefull with degrading all SUV's. You have to make a difference between the Suzuki Vitara/Grand Vitara and Renault Kaleos in one corner, and an ML63 AMG or X5M in the other corner. The image and marketposition is important, so you can't just say none of all SUV's will fit in a game. Some will because they are expensive, luxury, powerfull and very expensive. If it's none of that, the only reason left to include it in a game like TDU2 would be its iconic status. I rather not see stuff like quads in though, that has less to do with High Life than hatchbacks like an A3, for which Eden might say it's a premium hatchback of a premium brand and that's why it would be in. Quads also require their very own physics and handling which is completely different from cars and bikes, partially do to the fact you have to shift your entire body sideways to be able to steer in any way. The fact they already put in bikes as DLC as they wanted to focus on cars first makes me think we won't have to expect quads in the game, maybe as DLC, but there should be enough interest in it. The part I just typed about the SUV's applies to the pickup's for exactly the reasons I typed. Some pickups would be nice, but not down to the smallest, cheapest or least equipped barebone car, especially as it has nothing to do with the atmosphere TDU2 will try to breath out towards players.
  3. Maybe they listened to my proposal, instead of replacing gameworlds, adding them, to eventually have some sort of HD-google-earth racing xD.
  4. But other games have. GTA IV has them for all 200 pigeons, all Exotic Exports, all Drug Deliveries... And a better comparism: Fuel has it too. They are called Obsessional Stargazer/Sightseer/Painter/Collector, which wants you to collect all careerstars, vista points, liveries, vehicles, and clothing. To be honest I kinda like that, especially as it takes a while to do so it keeps you busy.
  5. I really don't like the looks of this car. In ¾frontview it looks like an Alfa SLS, and those rearsidewindows mess up the entire design of the rear end, especially with that stupid small rearwindow in the black tailpart. I don't like it, then again, they haven't surprised me, I don't like any of their cars: that Continental, the Spyker, I think they even once did an XJ220.
  6. I hope somebody will get this issue of Gamestar, just found out it has a 4-pages preview on TDU2. EDIT: @first post: you forgot a 4th point which could be used to get to Oahu: collecting all cars, houses, wrecks etc
  7. Lol, reminds me of A2 Racer III: 1 disc for each location x)
  8. @SuperhyperTDU: hm, I got IE and Opera. But I believe you.
  9. I can understand tWm not wanting Oahu again. Some, like me and tWm I think too, have seen enough of every road and want something new. Those people don't want to have to do that whole island over again. Only if Eden does a complete overhaul on Oahu, like remaking it so it'll be at least 50% new, that would make it interesting again, but if everything's the same, some won't see the use of going back there.
  10. Yes you're right, I also read that they mention it being reliable. Anyway thanks for finding it :p
  11. I couldn't find that picture, where was it? Nobody can try to find out what car is on that picture? :)
  12. I don't need a phone to take pictures with, I want an improved and more-feature-containing Photo Mode like TDU1 had. For the other stuff, might be nice yes.
  13. I kinda like it, but on the other side it's a shame you might end up seeing your 2 most favorite sportscars as club exclusives, not being able to get them.
  14. Well, the bottom line states the above info might not be 100% true or correct. But who knows. Guess we have another explanation for the 2,5 times bigger TDU2 :p
  15. That's a typo, the FAQ on the official TDU2 site mentiones 2000 MILES which is 3220 km.
  16. Ok, then I'm also for it :p
  17. Nope. Gotta learn a test for engineeringmechanics and I need to do an entire PC format.
  18. This is TDU and Atari, makes me think back of all TDU1 delays. Ah well, I hope next week is next week.
  19. Working digital displays. Titles like even World Racing 2 and European Truck Simulator have them, I seriously can't understand why TDU1 didn't have them. Also I always noticed mismatching dials, the true speed as not shown accuratly on the dials. And what I actually hope for would be indeed that stuff like convertible-top-buttons and steeringcolumn levers would be animated, but as TDU2 most likely shows hands on the steeringwheel those need to be animated too and then Diablo is correct in the massive amount of animations. And as there's night, there should be illumination of buttons, gauges, etc. Some cars even have ambient lighting, but i doubt those will be in TDU2. Illumination is easy to do, all truckgames have them, so did NFS4.
  20. Forza 3 also had some cars modelled by Rabcat, so who knows xD
  21. To be honest, the only game I ever paid attention to adverts was GTA IV, because of all the details and hard work that goes into them as the brands do not exist in real. If they want to put it in, sure go ahead, but it'll be one of the last things I'll worry about if it's not or not good enough in the game.
  22. Yea, Rabcat had quite some mistakes in details of cars. Remember the proportionally wrong Pontiac GTO, the Dinkey-Toy Caddy Cien, and lots of details, such as a missing pair of exhaustpipes on the CLK55. I do hope it'll be better in TDU2. Sofar it looks good, please don't mess it up this time.
  23. Perhaps next location: Sicily. :p
  24. Just a question, who's modelling the cars? Is Rabcat doing áll cars or is Eden also doing some cars?
