They've launched a Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass. Costs $34,99 and discounts 2 future expansions for the game, and if you own the Ultimate Edition and purchase the pass before the end of 2016, you get another $10 discount.

  2. We had the luck that we had a few coders and modelers. Ofcourse we're learning new things with really making a game, throwing everything together.

Customization will be in. At the moment we're focussing on OEM customization first, which translates to choosing paints, interior colors and trim, different wheel sets and various optional equipment of which some can slightly affect performance. Later we will also work on other customization as what you're talking about but we'll have to think first about clever ways of making parts suitable for multiple vehicles.

  3. And most importantly, 100% Dutch assembled because the VDL Nedcar factory will be the only factory building this. Years ago the factory was about to go bankrupt, but thanks to VDL the Mini was being produced there, and now they need another 1200 people on top of the 4000 already working there, thanks to having been nominated the Countryman. Very good development.

Though it changes little of what I think about the car itself, not ugly, but it's a bit busy on the outside for my taste. There's the dark plastic wheel arches, the gloss black in the bumper and on the pillars, the body paint and the roof paint and the taillights and trim

  4. Tried something with my Jag. I first wanted to make it look like the XJ220C but it just won't work without the right body, so I turned it into something which I think fits right for a speedrecord type of car. Then again, it's a bit shiny so it could be just another Middle-East oil-farmer car

I was messing with the Shelby Raptor and its 'aero' optionals, when I saw one of em is a red large front guard. That, combined with a massive front and it being American and all just immediately made me think of a train:

And another livery tryout. Yes, I abuse the simple 0-100% gradient decal, it allows more visual depth for striping that disappears into sunken air intakes/outlets. So that gave me the idea to sort of sticker an air intake in the shape the Alpine already had ready for one. I liked this layout most with not the full extreme bodywork, these wheels fit great for this car and fully tuned it's rather exciting to drive.

  5. AWD-only. Whyyyyy :(

According to Merc, since they started selling the 212 as AWD alongside RWD, over 85% of sales was formed by the AWD versions. Though I think for a part it also has to do with the fact the numbers simply are the best/fastest/biggest in the AWD versions.

If you want to die sideways you buy an AMG.

With the new E63, you tóó can die sideways, at the mere press of a button! :D But ye... turn off all assistance and safety, and get in Drift mode.

  6. Bit more news: the E63 is getting closer and closer to its debut, with indications towards the LA Motor Show for the sedan and Geneva next year March for the stationwagon, which has been spotted with the REAL exhausts hiding behind those fancy 2x double end tips. And this is not just a Benz thing, or a German premium thing, I decided to google it and saw even Lexus xx-F, Chevrolet and Lamborghini models do this... Oh, to refresh, E63's gonna have an upgraded version of the 4-liter (because China) twinturbo V8 upwards to 600 hp in the S-versions. The cars will be AWD only and like the Focus RS are said to be equipped with a Driftmode button. I like those 5-spokes...

And in a different corner of the world, pictures have surfaced of a rejected clay-model proposal for how the new Wrangler should look like. I really like it actually, it has some nice modern touches while still having the original rough look. Notice the triple removable roof panels:

  7. No idea to be honest. The only people I see driving around here with Navara's or Amaroks are doing so because our Defence has bought them to replace the many G-Classes or because of a lot of them are being used by our national agency for transport and water management. Other than that, people here in Holland seem to like the Americans a lot, quite some Ram's are driving around here.

EDIT: Merc's gonna introduce the concept version of it next week tuesday in Stockholm. They've released this trailer, which makes me think a lot of the F350 for some reason...

  8. To continue your first few sentences: they also drove a long time with the Citan in camouflage. A Citan is a rebadged Kangoo all the way down to the engines available. Merc only changed minimal visual aspects of which the stars on the grille, bonnet and wheels are the most significant ones.

I'm also interested why someone would buy this. I also don't know if Merc is building it because there really is a demand for a pick-up with an expensive badge, or because it's yet another way to become the biggest builder in numbers and profit, by skipping all the true development and just take some existing car to rebadge.

  9. And more legroom for the rear seats, but hey it's just a status thing these days.

Next week supposedly is the reveil of the Renault-Nissan-Benz pickup (mostly called GLT). Will be built in Argentina (because Nissan) and would be on schedule for a public debute at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show in Brazil. It would compete against Hillux, Amarok, Ranger and more as a ''premium pick-up truck''. Not intended for the USA, they know they won't be able to get a firm position among the American builders.

  10. You get an achievement for it (I Know These Roads) and the pop-up in the bottom center reads 488 out of 488... If you didn't get either of those, I'd double check the Discovery stats to be sure you did drive on all roads completely.

Also odd one in the new patch (which seems to be 1.63GB???); cars were indeed running out of fuel in Simulation mode. Nothing on the radar showing there are fuelstations, and Ryan, your trick of pressing enter at a fuelstation doesn't work either :p

So what now? They fixed it. Not by adding fuelstations, but by just letting the car drive on despite being without fuel. I guess it's a way to fix the issue.... can I also download this patch to my CLS?
