  1. Buy the land yacht ('67 Impala Sport Sedan) and take the land yacht on water so it just becomes a yacht
  2. The factory readout in the dealer is 1900 ft/lbs but after the Perf spec conversion it's 1100 HP and about 800 ft/lbs with the level 20 kit. If anything it's the car itself just being outright dumb and not a game bug; although the handling model in The Crew is questionable at best regardless so even if it was a bug it'd probably still suck after a fix.
  3. I bought the Agera instead of the LaFerrari (truthfully I am never actually going to use either car, they're both uninspiring and unexciting in my eyes, both in games and IRL) and to dispel a myth posted earlier about the Agera spinning the rears in 7th; basically no. In Perf spec it'll lay patch through each gear engagement all the way up to 4th to finally hook after engagement in 5th gear. But it'll spin the rears again if you so much as look at the directional/steering controls. Basically it's useless as a mode of transportation, think of it more as a tool for placing elevenses on pretty much any paved surface you can find.
  4. I'd get behind it. I'm imagining SLR:R but with a driving physics engine that actually makes sense and gearboxes that don't explode when you shift because the auto clutch is dumb; which would be great because then driving your creations would be fun
  5. I haven't been counting but I'd guesstimate maybe 5 hours a day since release; about 30 hours. Probably more. Over the three days that's 15 hours. Obviously. I'm counting hours prior because story missions are the bulk of the income initially.
  6. I've bought next to nothing Diablo and have been on the grind for almost 3 days now; I've only just reached the 0.8 mill mark. That's after the story missions, a lot of skill grinding for decent parts to compete in PvP, 31 PvP races(at 17k a piece) and counting along with 4 or so Faction missions at 80k a piece. I bought one car and it was the BNR34 Skyline. Even if I grind out for the rest of today and tomorrow I won't even be able to afford the Perf spec for either the LaFerrari or the Agera R to the point where I'm wondering if I should just buy a Gallardo and call it a day. If you start questioning working towards a goal then it's probably not worth the time in my experience. Do I want to work for the car? Damn right I want to! But it's just hour long faction mission after hour long faction mission with a side of getting rammed off every course in the PvP rotation; it grates on your nerves to the point where it does truly feel like you are being driven to dump money on Crew Credits to just buy the car outright.
  7. Also on PC, also experienced a lot of the same. Few points to make though and a question; 1) Have you at any point crashed or frozen in the Collection sub menu? That menu seems to be the sole source of my crashes. 2) Once you complete the endgame of the storyline Zoe and the other characters will nigh on never bother you again, in fact they only ever speak up and say like three words at the beginning of a testdrive; that's their lot. 3) Cash is difficult to get but there is a way to decapitate two men with one axe; get a bigger blade. That aside, the faction missions have some longer races with post 20k bucks payout with the longest races(I did one which was a crosscountry run in Circuit spec called "Coast to Coast", took just under an hour) paying out about 80k. If you don't like spending that long in one sitting you can always grind out PvP like most others are doing but your experience hinges greatly on if the lobbymaster has turned off collisions or not. People do block you and try to PIT in this game despite payouts being the same for everyone regardless of grid finish position. Worst comes to worst you can give one of the Duck a shout, inv them to a crew and team up in PvP; have a few laughs to pass the time. Which reminds me, we really need somewhere to organise cruises and stuff; maybe a thread or something like in TDU days. NOTE: You also get payouts for joining a lobby, starting the race and then jumping into spectator mode for the entire rest of the race. The exact same figures as if you finished last.
  8. Just found something to get angry about. The Cop heat system in conjunction with collisions being on in freeride. This. Is. Utterly. Stupid. I was trying to make a cross country run in my Street spec Challenger; halfway through Mountain states some idiot in a Circuit spec Camaro goes ploughing into me. We both wreck, no biggie. LOL NOPE, one star heat level. Ok fine, I lose it quickly. Guy teleports up the road and does the same damn thing again, only this time I get tele'd to the middle of the freaking Nevada desert and punted around by the cops like the steel ball in a pinball table because they have ludicrous amounts of grip, mass and the ability to instantly hit 200MPH in standard patrol cars. ALT+F4 material. Is there any way of just getting into and staying in an instance on my own? I don't want to have to deal with incompetence while simply going for a damned drive.
  9. There are a couple more examples I can think of(wrapped in spoiler tags because they reveal some mission details); I honestly think it's a little ridiculous. The car list is short as is, it didn't also need specs lopped off the end. That's like being told you already only have half a pie chart but accounting isn't happy with that so they are forcing you to lop an eighth off of it to appease post sale profit margins. The game is fun even with the limited selection of vehicles, but it'll get stale a lot faster than if it didn't have such a malnourished car list.
  10. I got a key for the game yesterday and logged a couple hours then, a few now. Server instability is the primary reason for why I have not played as much as I probably should have by now, I only just got to the mission that ends the initial arc with Troy. Purchased a Challenger as my first ride and I'm loving the visual options for the street spec right now. I just don't dig the LED head and taillights, swapped those for OEM right off the bat.
  11. Notable lack of pre-'71 Challenger and Plymouth goodness; I've still got crossed fingers but I doubt anything will make it in at this point. That might just break the deal for me in addition to the issues I had during beta. No pre-order at least.
  12. I don't, I'm just saying the option would be cool to have. Always dreamt of being a black guy :mhmm:
  13. IIRC the character in Most Wanted '06 was still a white bread hero even through the pixelation in the busted cutscene. African American protagonist in a racing game would have been cool to see or at least have the option of using as a character.
  14. I should probably make a quip about how terrible it must be if I cannot even boot it; but all this complaining is wearing even me out.
  15. Same problem; no solution. As of yet. I'm not holding my breath.
  16. Still got nothing. The support forums are full of people with similar issues who have gone to similar lengths in order to right said issue but to no avail. Apparently it isn't an AMD/ATI exclusive problem either, which leaves me even more baffled. I might have to temporarily switch drives and boot my clean Win 8 drive to see if it's an issue involving conflicts with local software; but if that is indeed the cause then The Crew is much further behind than just beta. That is Alpha level compatibility we are talking about.
  17. The only "out of the ordinary" thing I have plugged into a USB port on my computer as of right now is an external storage device; the very storage device the game is on. Other than that its USB keyboard, USB mouse. No go hombre.
  18. 6 hours and the game is still effectively flipping me off every time I attempt to run it. It won't even launch a window anymore it just starts the .exe for a micro-second before summoning a Windows standard "[insert application here] has stopped working" pop-up. At this point I've given up.
  19. Still nothing and my uPlay account still does not have access to the private beta forums so I cannot report it :L Has anyone else had similar issues? Because this is getting to be rather irritating and I'm starting to get impatient.
  20. Seriously though, did you not think that it MIGHT be up there when you put fields in the account information for it?
