  1. I don't wanna spoil anything, but its not until you take those license tests in Oahu that you feel that your money could be better spend on Juiced 2 and Urine Vials!:D I enjoyed Ibiza, the graphics there are kind of nice and you can almost make peace with the annoying frame rate, and the fact that your opponents can have different physics (Tess Wintory can pull a jump at 220kmp\h and land perfectly by an oncoming bus!) but when you get to Hawaii.... Oh My God! Its all so bad, the game looks like those amateur PC racing games but with bad physics. Even in the social aspect, is that even anything? You have an initial sequence with a bunch of wax carved guys in a pool party at 18:15h with no drinks, not talking to anyone, just dancing like maniacs! I can't stop laughing at those sequences, the main character just says "I couldn't have done it without you, Thank You Marco!" with a voice that seems like he is suffering from diarrhea and the other characters... C'mon the Wilder brothers and that Miami Harris and Tess Wintory? My God, that storyline seems to have been written for 5 year olds! And then when I get to the driving I can't even drive because in turns you get a mix of 15th century physics and horrible frame rate that makes is impossible to drive and to enjoy driving. In TDU1 I didn't enjoy races, what I really liked was cruising, and I can't even enjoy that in TDU2 because of the frame rate and the fact that you get the same sense of speed from driving at 100kmp\h and 270kmp\h. The worst thing is that whenever you change a gear, it makes you wanna puke, I don't know if it is the clutches or smth. I just know I wish I didn't buy this game. The even worst thing is that this is not personal complaining, this is something that everyone can see for himself when playing the game. I would like to talk with those guys from the developer diaries and ask if they ever even drove those ferraris and aston martins behind them, if they ever even drove a car! Because it seems that the thing they nailed better was related to Furnishing and Fashion, not driving! You are right, Ibiza is great and the first hours are nice...I can say that now, because when I was playing those first races I thought I was disappointed, now I am in Oahu and I can say those are the better hours of gameplay.! WARNING: Don't race the A1 Competition in Oahu, for your health and your console or PC's well being. I'd like to know where they got the idea from that an Aston Martin V12 completely loses traction in every single turn you take. Plus the last time I checked a Ferrari California with dual-clutch doesn't drop from 8000 revs to 2000 when changing 1st to 2nd.
  2. You are A B S O L U T E L Y right! Do I wanna beat Miami Harris in a massively dropping frame rate race with a car that sounds like a windows 95 *.midi and that even though I am speeding through a city main street seems like I am cruising at 50kmp/h? NO! Do I wanna go back to an Oahu that is horrible compared to Ibiza and get so mad at the stupid car physics that I want to crack TDU2's developers skulls open? NO! Online and two massive islands will always be the excuse, well I'd rather have half an Ibiza and some good physics, good engine sounds and less anoying frame rate. Today I went to Oahu and I took the Asphalt Licenses, the super sports car physics are only comparable to Juiced 2, the textures are a disgrace, the colour palette is childish and unreal, the engine sounds are terrible and driving at 300kmp\h was so bad that I got sleepy. Every sane player will take his hands to his head and say "Why did I buy this game!" when you get to the test where you drive a Dodge Viper in a Racing Track. Five years later wee see a game that is doubled in size, but cut in a half in fun and emotion! Its with great, great sadness that I must admit that TDU2 is a failure.
  3. TDU Official Forums = Holy Inquisition + Soviet Union + Comunist China + Cuba + Cambodja's Khmer Rouge + Ho Chi Mihn's Vietnam + North Korea + etc... Stay out of those forums, they don't want anyone to get to the ultimate point where you just have to admit that five years later TDU2 is worst than TDU1.
  4. How hard can it be for them to add options and other things that were available in TDU1? This is awfull because I can't post in the official forums and most people don't seem to care about this at all. I just want TDU2 to have the Seat Position, Shake Camera, Blur Effect, Create Playlist, Chronopack and better sense of acceleration. I can't help but feeling, that TDU2 fails at the easiest things in the game. How can they create two massive islands, great graphics and great cars and then fail so miserably at sounds effects, visual effects and options? How hard can it be to add some more sound effects and some NFS Shift style visual effects? If I had to choose one thing to be back from TDU1, it would definitely be the Shake Camera. Its awfull to be driving at 250kmp\h and the cars don't tremble, and I wouldn't be mad if it was something the first TDU didn't have, but it did! This is awfully annoying for me! I mean, doesn't anyone care about this, doesn't anyone care about sense of speed, and I don't mean you guys here at TDUcentral, I mean developers and players overall. I think that sense of speed is the thing that is more unrealistic in videogames, and NFS Shift could nail it very well with a bunch of cheap camera effects, so how hard is it to make things look more real, to give some emotion and some realism to driving in games?
  5. Hi, guys! I have discovered pretty much every dealership in Ibiza, but I haven't found certain cars. I discovered the dealerships in the GPS. Because of the different architecture you can easily spot Dealerships and Supermarkets but even though I have been to most of the roads that actually have any house I can't find a couple of cars: AC 427 Caterham CSR 260 (don't know if it is the right one, but definitely I can't find one of the Caterhams) Ferrari FXX (don't know if its still Club Exclusive) Ford Shelby GT500 GUMPERT apollo sport (don't know if its still Club Exclusive) Jaguar D-type Jaguar E-TYPE Lotus 2-Eleven SHELBY COBRA “DAYTONA” COUPE® WIESMANN ROADSTER MF3 So, if anyone can help me please tell me where these cars are. I like to explore, so I am only asking this because I can't find them anywhere.
  6. Which forums? I was banned from the official TDU forum. Because that thing is like the Soviet Union. If you say anything that is an idea or a complain you get perm ban. They don't let you discuss anything, they censored ALL my posts. They even removed words and full sentences from posts. If that is the only place I can get the developers to see my complains then I don't know why I even wasted money on the game because they just DON'T LET YOU COMPLAIN. If you say things like "there is no lambo" or "I'd like tow trucks in the game", its alright. But if you try to make an objective comment about real game issues, you get B-A-N-N-E-D. That is why I am in this forum now, I have a terrible reputation but at least people are mostly nice and the forum rules are much better. So, I am completely sorry about posting that thread but its not my fault that ATARI doesn't want real issues to be discussed. I only post that here because this forum seems much more "hardcore". The official forum was all about ridiculous posts and newbies asking why the game doesn't have private jets and boat races. I just think that if EDEN wants to read what the real fans want to be added or fixed, this is the right forum.
  7. TDU2 Final Version Major Concerns I have played TDU2 for a couple of days now and I can say that, like the first one, its a tough love. You will have to play it for like 10 or 15 hours to start liking it. The first impressions will likely be "I wanna sell this game!". I had that thought too, and I still have some of it, not because of what they didn't add, but because of what they removed. However I won't bother explaining that every fan will L-O-V-E this game, after all its TDU!:D So here is a list of problems that I found with the final version: FRAME RATE: -The frame rate is actually terrible, you can get used to it after a few hours but even then, when you take a tight turn with a car (specially cars that lose traction) you will see the frame rate dropping so low, that you will crash into the nearest wall or tree, because its impossible to drive. OPTIONS: -One of the things that really bothered me is the complete lack of driving/controls/effect options in this game. TDU1 had plenty of options, more than most driving games so it would be to expect, that TDU2 would at least have kept the TDU1 options. No, it didn't! There is no Seat Position, no Shake Camera or Blur Effect, no Editable Controls, no Chronopack, no Playlist Creator, no (at least functioning) steering sensivity control for the pad, absolutely no driving options like braking assist, traction control, stability help, nothing. Plus, people who drive with steering wheels will have massive difficulties driving, I played with my steering wheel for 10 minutes and came back to the pad, cause its close to impossible to drive with a steering wheel. SOUND: -While the sounds aren't bad, you will notice that the engine and ambient sounds are incredibly muted. I had to lower the voices and music sounds to almost nothing, so that by increasing the master volume in my TV, I could at least HEAR the car I was driving. Besides, the sound effects are very cheap. I can't miss the opportunity to say that TDU2 has probably the only proper Wind Sound around, but... The sound isn't gradual, so you will hear the same sound effects at every speed. Plus you will hear the EXACT same sound when passing a stop sign at 60mph and passing an oncoming truck at 150mph. Plus there is only a slight, slight difference between having your windows up or down. So it wouldn't be much of a big work to edit some of the sounds and add some new ones. SENSE OF SPEED: -This is the area that annoys me the most. The sense of speed is A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y messed up. First of all, the car just plain doesn't SHAKE. Be it driving on an asphalt or driving offroad with a McLaren at 200mph, there is absolutely no shaking/trembling. This is annoying because TDU1 even let you "calibrate" how much shaking you want. But the thing that really TOPS eveything else, is the fact that you just can't feel Acceleration. Yeah, its sad, it ruined my evening but its true. I recall that in TDU1 (specially when looking sideways) you could feel the car being pushed forward when you accelerated. Well, in TDU2, accelerating or not accelerating is the same thing. You can't feel the car being pushed forward (even in 1st gear) there is no camera effect, no nothing. The only thing you can feel with the acceleration is your index finger pressing on the R2 button... You could add the fact that there is a massive delay in changing gears, that all cars have clutch problems, that indicators shouldn't even be an option since most people drive in cockpit view, that during massive thunders you only see a drop or two in your windshield, that there is a massive popping problem with lights during night time. But I think those above are the most important, at least for me. Plus the game is so big and beautiful that you can excuse a thing or two. The reason why those above are the most important, is that TDU1 had most of those things. And I can excuse the indicators, the windshield wipers, the poor offroad physics, but what can't be excused is the fact that a game that was released 5 years ago actually has better frame rate, better sense of speed and more options. (P.S.) This is a word from an old TDU fan to all of you. Its not until you discover all dealerships and look at the map that you feel that the lack of Lamborghini and Maserati really hurt. I always couldn't help but feeling that something is missing from that dealership list whenever I looked at the map. I think that Lamborghini and Maserati fans will feel some tears coming out of their eyes once they feel the lack of those italian beasts.:sulk:
  8. This is rather bizarre! :taz: :bunny: :monkeydance: :chewy: ( ) I hope things like these don't happen a lot!:D
  9. Yeah, I agree completely. There have been quite a few bug/glitch reports and the game wasn't even released yet. So if the few people who have it already experienced such bugs, I hope this doesn't get catastrophic:-x after the game release!
  10. I think it may be likely! There are many issues being spotted since the first final build vids were seen, so I think they may want to fix them before long after release. And I sure hope they take into account the issues that have been discussed in the forums. Personaly I think patches/updates are only worthy if they are available soon after the game's release.
  11. Both cars sound very nice, specially the Sagaris, I liked that the sound in the cockpit view is very muted. I think other cars should follow the example!
  12. These are better explanations of the issues I think a patch/update will have to fix: TDU2 - TDU1 - REAL - So, the Engine Sounds in TDU2 are far better than I expected, although, for lack of time of some other reason, I believe certain important and quite interesting effects and improvements were overlooked. -First off, its the obvious difference in Gear Changing between TDU2 and TDU1. Whereas in TDU1 you hear an instant and smooth gear change, in TDU2 you hear a "ploc", a massive rev fall and an abrupt starting again of the sound in the new gear. I believe this is an issue, since in TDU1 gears seemed to change much smoother and realistically, also you only heard that "ploc" of the gear changing in older cars like the Maserati 3500GT or the Mustang. -Second, in TDU1 you can see the car shaking/trembling at high speeds, which is also something you can notice in any car you drive or any video you see. However in TDU2 the cars seem not to tremble at all. This is an important part of the sense of speed, and since the first TDU already had nailed it pretty well, I think its disappointing that TDU2 doesn't do it as nicely. -The third thing is the fact that in TDU1 you could feel the acceleration and gear changing a lot better. In TDU2 the acceleration and gear changing doesn't have any big impact on the camera or car. You can notice on this or any real video that cars shake and push a lot. The strange thing is that TDU1 seemed to have this matter better represented than TDU2. ________________________________________________________________________ As most of you know, I have already talked about these issues. But now I wanted to discuss them without all the anger and disappointment. TDU2 is a small step from becoming perfect. They have done the cars, the island, the weather effects, the online modes, etc.. Now all we need is the fixing of little issues that can really give a lot more for TDU2. I do not ask for realistic physics or better graphics, in fact there are little things that EDEN could have done better (in my opinion). So all I ask for the updates and patches are little things that can really give a lot of the emotion and sensation of driving a car. These mentioned above are small issues that can easily be improved with Sound Editing and adding Visual Effects. This is why I even bother writing these posts and analysing videos to notice issues, because TDU2 is a small step from perfection. A little more NFS Shift like visual effects, a little more Midnight Club LA like action and we can have ourselves the indisputable most amazing racing game ever. So please, I ask the fans/community to take this post seriously and I ask EDEN to take a look at these issues. Furthermore I am really sorry about my most aggressive posts and I want to assure the community that the improvement and evolution of the TDU experience is my only objective.:D
  13. Man, I didn't wrote that one down cause I didn't know about it! Its really bad, I thought you could edit the controls! Most games let you do that, I am used to change gears up and down with square and circle, not square and triangle. Might not seem a big difference but its enough to ruin several races in the first month or two!:p
  14. Thanks for changing the thread name!:D:thumbsup::D:thumbsup:
  15. That S3 is the best looking and sounding car in this game, its just a MASSIVE surprise, besides the S3 was my starter car in TDU1. This video is like a major BOOST for me. Great Videos!!! :coolspot::monkeydance::taz::bunny::chewy: THANK YOU EDEN!!!!!
  16. I couldn't agree more with your words and I am quite sure that EDEN tried their best to deliver the finest experience possible. Sometimes aggressivity and disappointment shadow reason and rationality, but I just think that posting several complains and ideas is the only way that some new or old things can be added via Update/Patch. That is why I think that now is the time to start posting our ideas of what should be in the first updates, because the sooner things are fixed, the more we can enjoy them in the final game.
  17. Things the first patches/updates should add/fix: -Music Import Option (Creating Playlists on Xbox 360/PS3) -Fix Sound Transitions in Gear Changes, Road Bumps, etc. (Gear Change* sound is very abrupt, revs in GC* and road bumps behave unrealistically.) -Fix Sound Differrence between Windows up/down (Differece is too slight, should hear a lot of wind sound when opening the windows. Smoother/Muted Windows Up sound.) -Fully Working Indicators (Inside Car blinking lights and sound.) -Bring back Seat Position(Cockpit View Calibration), Shake Camera and Blur Effect. Plus the Chronopack. -Louder wind sounds (Wind Blowing against car/Sound when oncoming traffic passes.) -More Action and Effects (Acceleration, Braking and Turning should be more aggresive, +camera moving, +trembling, etc...) -Cockpit View steering wheel turning at least 90º (plus the driver animation should be smoother, seems a little stiff.) -Helmet for Mercedes Stirling Moss/Ariel Atom/Catheram. -Working Windshield Wipers. -Engine Sound Fixes: -Aston Martin One-77 (Higher Revs sound is very bad ) -Ferrari 458 Italia (Sound pretty much like a RC car with clutch problems ) (most cars don't sound like they go past 4000rpm even when in redline.)
  18. Every new feature is welcome, but I think its kind of ridiculous the fact that you have thousands of clothes and ways of furnishing your house, but the car indicators don't even work properly. This is game about cars, the priority should be cars. I welcome every housing and clothing feature, but after they have done their work on the cars. EDEN added decals and wall painting but removed extremely important options like the Seat Adjustment, Shake Camera or Blur Effect. Hopefully this can be all fixed with patches, but when the updates and DLCs come out, most people have already completed the game, so things won't have the same impact they would have had if they were in the final build. I am greatly surprised by most aspects on TDU2, the graphics are awesome, specially for a game of that size. The day/night cycle, the weather and all the fun stuff, but it feels kind of bad to notice that certain small things that are easily added ir fixed were completely overlooked!
  19. The thing I liked the most about those videos was that there were 2 free spaces in the Mercedes Showroom, I wonder which cars are going to fill them! Again, those gears changing, its painful, the sound just stops and starts again, also when there are bumps on the road the sound just goes crazy like stopping and starting continuously! I am enjoying the engine sounds and then !BAM! the gear changes and its all ruined! Please EDEN fix that the best way you can!:) -First TDU2 Update: -Fix One-77 Engine Sound. -Add Import Music Option. -Fix Sound Transitions (gear changes, road bumps, etc...) -Also add "Diego Miranda - I want to live in Ibiza" and the SEAT Ibiza (just kidding:thumbsup:)
  20. Rally Fan Pack: -Several Rally Challenges throughout Ibiza and Oahu. -New Offroad Professional License. -Car Pack: -Audi Quattro -Lancia 037 Stradale -Lancia S4 Stradale -Ford Escort RS Cosworth -Subaru Impreza 22B STi -Ford Focus RS -Citröen C4 by Löeb
  21. http://www.youtube.com/user/MotoGamesTV#p/a/u/0/nwkz6AmZ2Tk Man, don't mean to be complaining again since most of the engine sounds seem actually very nice. But... what is this? This has to be fixed right away, this is just outrageous, just hear that engine sound, its horrible! Its the same the DBS had in the BETA, so its not only horrible but its also the same engine sound so many fans complained about in the BETA testings. -First TDU2 Update: -Fix One-77 Engine Sound. -Add Import Music Option. -Add Dual-Clutch to cars.
  22. I am really happy that they decided to let us buy those cars. Hopefully we'll be able to buy the FXX and the Apollo as well. However, in the VVV videos Ferrari Showroom there was no FXX. But its great news to know I can buy one of my favourite cars (One-77). redragon95, thank you for the info!
  23. I'm sorry, but since you drove the Aston Martin DBS, I would very much like to know if the One-77 is for sale in the Aston Martin dealership? (It was supposed to be a car exclusive, but since we've seen that the McLaren is for sale, I thought maybe they would let us buy thee One-77 too!)
