  1. I completely agree with you on this one. And I sure hope they get more people to buy the game, cause definitely, If we wanna see plenty of big DLCs and who knows, even more manufacturers, the game must be bought by much more people than just the hardcore TDU fans.
  2. Great Video, the Alfa Romeo 8C looks amazing, its one of my favourite cars in the game:coolspot:
  3. FFS, where in this post do you find a single complain? This post is about questions. Besides, I have explained how I love some of the engine sounds like the Alfa Romeo MiTo and the Ferrari F430. I have told I think the graphics are really better than I expected, that the sense of speed is actually good. I don't complain about the car list. I have said over and over that TDU2 is an ambitious project, that it is a noble quest towards the perfect driving game. I have done everything I could to tell people how important it is to buy the game nad its DLCs to help ATARI/EDEN get new licenses and afford a new TDU. What do you want more? I just overreact when I see that some of the little things that could be easily fixed are the ones that are most flawed. I don't ask for more islands or better graphics, I don't ask for 1000 cars and planes, and boats and tow trucks like some people. So please just give me a break, I have said I am sorry, my latest posts are everything but aggresive, I have balanced my complains with good things in the game. You are all whining about this post and I haven't even wrote anything wrong. Please just let me write my posts! If you see anything you don't like or if you disagree, please explain yourself objectively and politely or just plain don't comment. I am changing my attitude but I can't do it if even when I post good things or questions, people say I am complaining!
  4. Seriously, no one is complaining about anything. I had some questions and I asked them politely and the comments on it were also pretty normal. What do you want people to discuss in this forum? Flowers? Insects? Isn't this a forum about a game called TDU2 in which you are supposed to share your ideas, make your complains and ask your questions. It seems that no one can say anything without a bunch of guys telling people to wait and shut up. Seriously, I understand some people are annoyed by the massive complaining but I am already getting annoyed at the MASSIVE shutting ups! So, these threads don't pop up on your desktop when you turn your pc on, so if you don't like the ideas, questions or complains, its simple. Don't read the thread and don't comment!!! If you want to follow everything so blindly and buy the game without questions asked, go ahead and do it, but let other people talk openly about their concerns and doubts without posting the same shut ups and wait for the game to come out posts over and over
  5. We should think less about what manufacturers TDU2 doesn't have, and more about the fact that manufacturers like Nissan, Subaru, Volkswagen, etc... only have a few cars. Still, if you want to see BMWs, your best bet is to buy the game and every DLC. Maybe they will get enough money to buy new licenses.
  6. I don't wanna go against superhypers demands above, but the fact is, that even though I have mentioned the Shake Camera and Blur Effect quite a lot of times, I kept asking because no one gave me the answer. Anyone got any idea on why they would step backwards on these things. In TDU1 I used to adjust steering sensibility so the pad driving wouldn't be so abrupt, I wanted it smoother. Also the the Shake Camera and Blur Effect were incredibly nice features, at least in my opinion. As for the cockpit view calibration, I just can't understand why they wouldn't have it! I'm sorry, but I just can't think of good reason to remove these features! Also, if the windshield wipers don't work, what happens when rain is falling on the windshield? It just seems pretty strange and I have never seen a vid with rain and cockpit view.
  7. I know that no one played the final version, but maybe someone who played the BETA or something can answer this for me. These are matters that I find rather important, so if anyone can answer me it would be a great help.:) 1- Can you edit the controls? (Assign gear up to triangle or X, etc...) 2- Have they kept the SHAKE CAMERA and BLUR EFFECT? 3- Can you edit your PLAYLIST or do you have to stick the musics in the game's radio stations? 4- Are there steering sensivity, anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control options? 5- Can you still calibrate the Cockpit View? 6- Is there any way of editing or saving replays? 7- Are there Vehicle Transport Missions like in TDU1? 8- Do windshield wipers work when it rains? I know I have asked some of these questions earlier, but now that more vids are infos are available I thought someone could answer at least a few of my questions. Thanks!:) Plus I am sorry I named the thread "quick question" and not just Questions.:(
  8. I don't know if you are with me on this, and if it can even be achieved, but I think Online and Offline should have different time cycles. Online should have a permanent and continuous time cycle for everyone. However Offline should have its own time cycle so you can sleep or rest in the game, in order to drive in the time of the day you want. When you log online, the time automatically changes to the permanent online cycle. I guess its not fair if you are playing offline to wait a full hour to play during the day or during the night. What do you think about it?
  9. My question is why does it happen with only some cars. The Ferrari F430 sounds awesome, you can barely notice that gear changing thing. Yet, with the 599GTO is very noticeable. I don't understand much about engine sound recording and such, but it seems rather strange, specially in the 599GTO and the Veyron. I don't know what can and can not be changed with patches and DLCs, but I believe that with the community discussing the issues and EDEN working on the problems over the years, this game can reach ABSOLUTE AND INDISPUTABLE AWESOMENESS!:chewy::monkeydance::taz:
  10. Thank you for commenting in an objective way. I hope from now on I can make friends with the fans in the TDU Central forum again. Again, sorry for my aggressiveness in the posts!:cheeky:
  11. Yeah, actually the Ferrari F430 and the 458 sound really GREAT! I can notice that the Alfa Romeo MiTo, the Audi TT, Lotus Espirit and the Lancia Delta also have excellent engine sounds. Also, I mentioned that I wished for better sense of speed, and by the videos it seems it was MASSIVELY improved, the Koenigsegg just FLIES!!! Its amazing. My concern was that the Ford GT and the Mustang "apparently" have the same engine sound, and the 599GTO and the Veyron seem to have some problems. I guess they can't make all cars sound perfectly, but I think most of the cars will sound good. In the BETA, the Aston Martin DBS had a joke of an engine sound but the Audi R8 sounded incredibly good. I don't know if the version that is being played at VVV has different sounds from the final one but I guess some sounds can bee fixed via DLC. They can count me in to buy any DLC that comes around. Too bad that most people would rather continue financing companies like EA instead of embracing ambitious projects like TDU2.:-x
  12. I will explain myself without being so aggresive: The Ferrari 458 sounds good, the Ferrari F430 actually sounds amazing, its roaring, the gear change is smooth, its one of the best I've heard in TDU2. My concern is the following, in the Ferrari 599GTO, specially noticeable in the first 3 gears, when the gears change, it sounds funny, it isn't natural nor smooth. Its by 6:50 and further, the gear changing is very abrupt, the sound stops and then continues from a too low Rev. Look, I don't want people to shut me up or something, I just wanted someone to tell me why this happens with some cars. I am worried because about 50% of the cars seen in the vids seem to suffer from the same problem. I don't know if it is because of that version of the game. It just looks and sounds very strange, you can see it clearly if you focus on the REV counter. The revs go down very fast, and they start again from a predetermined point. It just doesn't seem like something EDEN wouldn't notice or not do something about. So I just wanted you to comment on what you think about this matter rather than what you think about me. Please tell me what you think about this. (this is the last time I want to discuss this, but I post over and over because most people just tell me to shut up instead of commenting on the actual matter of the post.)
  13. I am deeply sorry, if no one in this forum can notice that when the cars change gears in TDU2, the sound isn't progressive. The sound just stops for a fraction on second while you hear the gear changing, and then begins again from a predetermined RPM. If no one thinks this a major and ridiculous flaw in a racing game, well, I don't really know why I bother. I am very sorry to be wasting your precious time in this forum. Sincerely, Elder_of_Lyons.
  14. I complain because TDU is actually the only game worth complaining about. This is the only racing game that has the "background" to become perfect. Midnight Club LA has some nice features, but the overall game isn't any good. NFS Shift has tho whole sense of speed but I am just too tired of racing on closed tracks. GT5 is nice but bores the hell out of anyone, and Forza... well I just don't like the game. On the other hand, TDU has a different concept, a concept that is worth it. There is a whole island, there is freedom, there is a storyline, there is a very original multiplayer mode, there is character and house customization. Basically the first TDU was the dream game of anyone who loves cars and driving. I know I am too agressive, but its frustrating to know that TDU2 is just a little bit from being the perfect game. C'mon, there are two islands, there are weather effects, day and night cycle, housing and customization, lots of the newest super sports cars. I ask for better engine sounds, more cars, better sense of speed, editable traffic (off, low, normal, high) and license plates. I think they have gone such a long way with this game, that my wishes are a very small thing that could easily be done with some effort. Maybe with patches, DLCs, whatever. If I have been too aggresive, I am deeply sorry for that. I won't be bothering you again with my stupid complains.
  15. MAN, just look at those sounds in the FERRARI 599GTO, when the gear changes, the cars seems to stop and start again from a predetermined point, its just awfull. I have conformed with the fact that the engine sounds can be that great, but its not the engine sounds, ITS THE GEARS CHANGING, ITS ANNOYING AND AWFULL! - at 6:50 WHAT is that, is that how any car changes a gear, I mean, the 599GTO has one of the most beautiful sounds in any car and the actual engine sound isn't bad, but is that what they think it happens when you change gear, the rpm just goes down crazy, stops and starts from there, can anyone explain me how this happened?
  16. I don't mean they don't have it, I just mean I have not seen the gear changing animation in the game, at VVV they are driving with AUTO but you should see the character changing gears? Also in the part where he drives the Mustang, you see that the wheel doesn't turn more than 45º or 50º, I think that is something important.
  17. There isn't even a changing gear animation, you can see when he is driving the Mustang, that the gears change automatically, and there is no such thing as automatic gears in '68 Mustang. The wheel doesn't stir enough, the character just doesn't stop holding the wheel, I mean, the animations are poor. I could be here all day long... I know that the VVV Automotive version isn't the final, but these thing I pointed out are not gonna change. What happens is that whenever a fan is complaining, two fans come and tell him to shut up, and you know what? That is great! EDEN knows that most fans are either happy or are blinding themselves to the massive flaws so they can also be happy with the game. This is the reason why they don't change anything, people seem to be very happy with the game, and if people are happy why make a change? Fans asked for better engine sounds, more sense of speed, more cars, better animation, 360º steering wheel, body parts tuning etc... You see any of that in the game? No, because every single time anyone complains, someone comes over and says everything is fine, so no one actually cares about complains. I am not asking for boats and planes, bigger islands or anything like that. I am asking for what they should have done right after 4 years of developing a game. They have recreated an immense island, they have updated graphics, new modes, but the driving seems so flawed and painfull that I would rather tour Ibiza in a DAMN BUS!!!:mad: Complaining is the only way I have to transmit my ideas and concerns, but if no one agrees or most people just tell you to shut up and don't buy the game, no one is actually gonna care. If everyone agreed in a post that something is wrong and no doubt THE GEAR CHANGING IS MUCH MORE THAN WRONG, probably they would change it with a patch or something. But if no one cares, they are not gonna care either. This is the TDU we will have for the next 4 years or so, maybe even forever. So I just want to make sure that I do all that I can to show what I think is wrong so it can be done right. I love this game and I want this game to be as perfect as possible.
  18. Just look at this! Anyone think these are DECENT engine sounds for a 2011 videogame? TDU2's Ferraris: TDU1 Mod:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59gVrbdpHuE&feature=related Reality: The thing that annoys me the most are those STUPIDD gear changes, it cuts the sound... I don't really know how to explain! Its just so awfull, its worst than TDU1, by FAR!!! It seems that the car changes gear, you hear a pile of bamboo falling on the floor, the engine sound stops for a fraction of a second and then starts from a predetermined point. ITS RIDICULOUS, and don't come with funds and I'm so excited things, cause I was excited either, before I saw that cars in TDU2 sound worst than a FART!!!:mad:
  19. If you can't stand the fact that the game you are waiting so much for is so massively flawed, I am not the one that should shut up. I am not posting further in this thread because there is one above that explains things in a better way. It talks about LAZYNESS and that is what this is all about:twisted:. Because EDEN had acess to the real cars and had the chance to record sounds on studio, and they did a VERY BAD job. And don't you come mentioning funds and stuff, because MODDERS don't have any FUNDS and they do a better job than the actual game developers!
  20. Man, I didn't notice that. That is not lack of funds or anything, that is just pure LAZYNESS and STUPIDITY, and its a massive letdown for people who actually enjoy cars. I hope that is not true, I surely hope it isn't true. It would be a complete joke. I would understand cars with the same sounds in GTA IV or something but in a racing game with only 80 cars, its just a massive joke! Even in the latest videos, with the fords you can see it. I don't wanna be mean or anything, but TDU2 has the worst sounds I have seen in a racing game lately. The Alfa Romeo Mito and the Audi TT sounds actually nice but the Lancia Delta, the Range Rover, the Ferrari California... they sound awfull, why is that? You remember the sound from the Aston Martin DBS in the BETA? It was the worst engine sound I have ever heard in any new gen game. Why won't they nail the engine sounds? I know I've already posted that, but WHY is it that when the gears change, the rpm goes down and stops, and starts from a predetermined point? It doesn't look or sound natural! I have never seen such thing in any videogame!!!:-x MAINLY, WHY IS IT THAT IN A 2011 RACING VIDEOGAME, TWO DIFFERENT CARS FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER (FORD) SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME, IS THIS A JOKE?
  21. I don't know if EDEN will actually do anything about it but I guess everyone will agree with me on this one. Its not a difficult thing to change (I think), and it just looks, feels and sounds so awfull that makes me wanna puke. You can notice the way the gears change, the RPM goes down, stops and starts from there, sort of in robotic way instead of smoothly, it feels horrible, it sounds really bad. I don't know what you think: TDU2: I don't except the engines to sound like real life because no game actually has really good engine sounds but its just about the gear changing, it isn't smooth. Its like a brutal and robotic rpm change and a sound that seems like a pile of bamboo just fell on the floor (specially on the Veyron). I don't know, I am getting more and more excited about the game, the graphics look much better than I thought, the sense of speed is kind of nice, but that annoyiing gear change is just TERRIBLE!!! You can also notice that the ingame steering wheel doesn't respond well. It seems it has a limit of 75º rotation. That is one of the things people complained much about since TDU1, and it looks it wasn't changed. I don't want it to turn 720º but it sure seems too stiff. Also I HOPE that they kept the SHAKE CAMERA and BLUR EFFECT. I don't really wanna complain any more but cars shake a lot and I wonder if if it that hard to create that sort of effect like you are being pushed into a tube when you accelerate. I think NFS Shift nailed it very well. I wonder if we could see that in TDU2 sometime:cry:. Just think what it would be to have a sort of NFS Shift sense of speed in an open world racer!
  22. I have seen the vids and my conclusions ar mixed. First, the graphics are way better than I expected, also, the game seems to have a nice little storyline for the single player. But then there are a few things that I think that are really bad: -The cars do not steer as much as they should, when you see the cockpit view, you can notice that the steering wheel only turns like 75º. And also while driving you feel the cars are carrying two tons of scrap metal in the trunk! It seems the cars are nailed to the road by their rear tyres. -The engine sounds are just terrible, specially the Touareg, Range Rover and Lancia Delta. It seems that the rpm go down too fast when you change gear, its kind of robotic, it doesn't feel, look or sound natural. And the worst is that even when the car is reaching 7,8 or 9000 rpm, it sounds like its not even in 4 or 5000 rpm, I don't why, but there is no roar, it all sounds robotic and synthesised. -The sense of speed is not as bad as I expected but just doesn't feel like right. The car doesn't shake, there are no noticeable visual effects for speed. This kind of sense of speed doesn't help the slower cars, it seems like you can't actually feel the car accelerating, changing gears and braking. It all seems very unrealistic! I think the game has lots of improvements, and making a realistic driving game is far from easy, specially since companies with much larger budgets have tried it and failed miserably. But I guess you can always turn on the blur and shake camera for the sense of speed and turn off traction and stability helps to let you have more fun driving. The worst thing are the engine sounds, I know I keep complaining and complaining, but its just AWFULL, how can it be so bad, the cars sound HORRIBLE, it seems like an old *.midi. I don't know how they could do it so bad after so much people complaining and full 4 years of development.
  23. I think EDEN somehow had a little trouble setting priorites. Everybody knows that most fans care the most for the cars and not character and house customization. Yet, there are more official trailers about the island and the life and whatever than about cars, so I guess its perfectly normal for people to be angry. They boast about the fact that TDU2 is all about community and fans, so I wanna know who asked for so much concern for housing and clothes instead of focusing on cars and racing itself. As I already said I don't hate the fact that those features were added. I just thing that the importance they give to it is just too much, specially since there is so much to be done in the driving part.
  24. I don't think people complain that much, if that were to be true, people would still be whining about the disappointing car list. I think its perfectly normal for people to complain, that is the whole reason there are forums, so that people can express their idea of what the game is or should be. If most people think the game is flawed and that a lot of features could be added, than you can say they are complaining, I would rather say they are doing their job as fans. They are not making this game for charity, we will pay for the game, we fans will be the ones that will say with our own wallets if there is gonna be a TDU3. Plus I think its normal for people to ask for fuel, license plates and stuff because this is a game that tries to represent real life after all. And even more normal is for people to ask for good physics and engine sounds after 4 years of development. I understand your concerns, but this is a one of a kind game, so I think its natural for people to wish the game had a lot more.:)
  25. Maybe in some countries, here in Portugal I had to pay 120$ for the game and DLCs. Videogames cost 95$ at launch, plus the fact that in Portugal, salaries are about 700$ a month. So you may understand why I was so reluctant about buying the game and the DLCs. Besides, I think and HOPE that TDU2 will have much more DLCs than the first one. Hopefully, it will be worth the money!
