Official Car List Revealed on Facebook
Elder_of_Lyons replied to Who's topic in Driving & Racing Games
This is the actual PS3 car list at the moment. No pre-order cars of course, cause they are NOT in the final game, you have to pay for them and the European pre-order cars are not even available yet, plus no club cars cause there are no clubs yet. AC 427 (Wreck) Alfa Roméo 8C Competizione Alfa Romeo 8C Spider Alfa Roméo Brera Italia Independent Alfa Roméo MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde Ariel Atom 300 Supercharged Ascari KZ1 R Limited Edition Aston Martin DB9 Coupe Aston Martin DB9 Volante Aston Martin DBS Coupe Aston Martin V8 Vantage Aston Martin V12 Vantage Aston Martin One-77 Audi R8 Coupé 5.2 FSI quattro Audi RS6 Avant Audi S3 Audi S5 Coupé Audi TTS Coupé Audi TT RS Roadster Audi Q7 V12 TDI quattro Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Buggy(Wreck) Caterham CSR 260 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS / Camaro SS Chevrolet Camaro LT Chevrolet Corvette C1 Citroën 2CV (Wreck) Dodge Charger SRT8 Dodge Viper SRT10 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole Ferrari 430 Scuderia Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M Ferrari 458 Italia Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano Ferrari 599 GTO Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Ferrari California Ferrari Enzo Ford GT Ford Mustang Fastback Ford Mustang GT Ginetta F400 Hummer H3 Jaguar D-type (Wreck) Jaguar E-TYPE Jaguar XKR Koenigsegg CCXR Edition Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione Land Rover Range Rover Sport Lotus Esprit S3 Lotus Evora McLaren MP4-12C Mercedes 300 SL GullWing Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG Black Series Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722s Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Nissan 370Z Nissan GT-R Pagani Zonda Cinque Pagani Zonda F Pagani Zonda Roadster F Pagani Zonda C12S Roadster RUF RGT RUF Rturbo RUF Rt 12 RUF RK Spyder Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (Wreck) Spyker C12 Zagato Spyker D8 Peking-to-Paris Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan TVR Sagaris Volkswagen Beetle (Wreck) Volkswagen Golf GTI Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI That is about 80 cars, less then TDU1, this says a lot about this game... Shame on those guys who made the FaceBook car list for adding the pre-order cars without even mentioning if they were pre-orders or not. Nice to make the car list seem very big when its not, yeah? The game is out, has cool things, bad things, this is just a small remark! -
Seriously, a quick remark: How can it be that a game that has a obviously disappointing car list, afford to have 4 beautiful cars only for clubs? My personal opinion: There should be a way of winning or purchasing those cars in Single Player, if not, Club Cars should be different versions of Zondas, Veyrons or R8, etc., not completely different cars.

I think its kind of strange no one talks about the sense of speed. Really, I seem to be the only one worried about the fact that in TDU2 driving at 200km\h seems like 60km\h. Man, I tell you from personal experience. Being in a Lancia Delta at 210km\h ... uh!... the car shakes like its gonna its fall apart! Also, if you are max accelerating in a Ferrari in 1st or 2nd gear it seems like the front of the car gets half a meter off the ground and you get ABSOLUTELY stuck to the seat. Of course this effect can't be represented in a game., but having some shaking and trembling in the cars when accelerating, changing gears and driving at high speeds is just something basic. Shift has it, Forza has it, GT5 has it, GRiD has it, TDU1 had it... driving is all about emotions, sensations and very freaking loud sounds and sincerely TDU2 has none, every car I drive I feel I am a baby riding a vacuum cleaner with wheels at 2km\h through my Living Room, TDU2 has the worst sense of speed in the new gen consoles, that is my opinion. Unfortunately no one seems to care about it! (Plus please just let us edit the license plates or freaking remove them, I am sick of seeing a stupid TDU2 on every single car, definitely not a great help for me to feel I am driving in open roads.)
-
Sorry to be asking this, but I really can't find the Spyker C8 anywhere. I remember it being in the car list and now I double checked but I can't find it anywhere. Was it changed to pre-order or club exclusive status? Please, help me on this, its one of my favourite cars ever!

Thank you all for the info on this matter. I am eager to buy all the DLCs!

Hi! I just wanted to ask if someone knows when the TDU Casino Online and the Pre-order cars ar going to be available in the European PS Store. They were already there but back then I didn't get to buy them, then there was the Casino Online featured but not available and now nothing is even available in the TDU2 Extra Content. Can anyone tell me what is going on?:D

Man, I am eager to buy all the DLCs that come around, even though I probably won't even play the game anymore. My boiling point was the A4 Championship. I am "driving" my Catheram which is close to impossible to drive cause the physics look more like RC Cars than real automobiles and I am noticing over and over that my opponents enjoy different physics. I can't even make a proper turn without sliding off but Miami Harris in the exact same car can pull off perfect jumps at 240km\h and turn at 150km\h without the slightest loss of grip. Plus many other things... I will buy every DLC, I have bought the Casino and all US pre-orders, unfortunately I can't buy the European cause they just vanished. I will give money every time they need it cause I wanna see a TDU3, but as bad as I feel for saying it there is nothing else I can feel but negativity about this game. This game is all about cockpit view and I always drive in the 3rd Person (outside car view) cause I can't stand the awfull sound inside car and the a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e lack of sense of speed, I just can't stop complaining about this, cause its not bad, its... there isn't even a word in the English language to express how bad that cockpit view is, aboslutely no sense of nothing, no shake, no action, no trembling, no nothing, everything dead and stiff and muted... a real "MERDA"!!! -
Nissan 370Z and GT-R.

Elder_of_Lyons replied to wolfie1984's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Don't even bother complaining. I used to complain and now I just have the game rotting up in my shelves. The game is completely unfinished and even unplayable. Most things suck, and the only forum where anyone at EDEN even bothers to go to is the official forum, and there you can't post any complains. They are affraid that maybe complains will start a mutiny and everyone will see how bad this game is. Look, I am very sincere. I have tried everything, I have even attempted to brainwash myself in order to enjoy this game, but we have to face it, this game is just awfull. I compliment EDEN for trying and for being ambitious but this game doesn't get to today's standards in any way, be it physics, engine sounds, graphics, anything. This seems like an incomplete BETA with a storyline for 5 year old kids, its much worse then the first one. I feel the need to puke every single time I change a gear in a car, after 20 years of making car racing games, a team was able to deliver the worst gear changing in racing game's history, worst than that is the fact that 5 years after delivering one of the best games in sense of speed, they go back to Super Nintendo in that matter. Its a pity, 45€ to the garbage can. -
Hahahahaha!:D:D:D:thumbsup::D:D:D Looks like you've got the hang of this!
-
That is the main reason why I buy this game and its DLCs. I almost feel like it is my duty as a videogame player to buy a game that even though its made by a few people with few money its more ambitious and fun than most of the games from the big companies. I am just frustrated because I thought that those options would be in TDU2, which was normal thought since they were in TDU1. Since they are not in TDU2 this has been the only was I know to try to get someone to see how important I think those options were, but people don't seem to care about that a lot. Besides the game already has enough issues, so people don't really care about these little options that I find very important. Also I am sorry for my now deleted post. After all you are one of the moderators here and you guys already give a lot of freedom here, unlike that Soviet Union reenactment that is the official forum. As a polite and respectable person I felt it was my duty to delete the post and apologize for my words.

Thankfully, I have already completed all the A7 Challenges. I have to admit that the Brera is much better than the Golf, in most aspects. But it was sort of like a personal choice. The Lancia Delta is very reliable and every C4 Challenge can be easily done with it as also my 370Z for A6 and the Touareg for thee B4.
-
I was just kidding, I am liking the game, and I don't sell any games I have ever bought. I just think that the only thing the game has that I completly dislike is the options that TDU1 had and TDU2 doesn't. I can understand almost everything else, but to this day I continue not to be able to understand how those options (that were very nice and useful) didn't make it to TDU2. Also I can't understand why Oahu is the most important Island in TDU2, all the big and important events happen in Oahu and you can see for yourself that Oahu looks bad compared to Ibiza. Its normal since Oahu was only redesigned, but I think the game should begin in Oahu and then go to Ibiza. Of course this a personal opinion. Also I say that 99% of the game is OK and you say I am flaming? My idea of flaming is people that give 0 to the game and write about how better Forza 3 and GT5 or NFS are compared to TDU2. Or people who write that everything is bad and you shouldn't even buy the game. I have already deleted the post if that is helpful. I am sorry for my words and I'll never post anything alike again.
-
I have tried every single approach, but the Golf is just uncontrollable. I'd even say unpredictable, when you think you are perfectly nailing a turn, most of the times when exiting the turn the car loses control, and if you try to balance it, most of the times its just gonna be worse. I am telling you, I don't know if you already drove the Golf GTI in TDU2, but its really hard. Some other cars are also difficult to drive but this one is very peculiar. That is why I am so angry at it. The Brera and the MiTo handle perfectly, almost every other car handles well, but for no apparent reason the Golf is insufferable.
-
Yeah, but I have the Golf now. I love the MiTo though, it has one of the best engine sounds in the game and that italian design is just gorgeous. ITS FRUSTRATING, this is actually the first game in which I am AFFRAID of moving the analog stick, the slightest thing the car just spins out of control. Its a FREAKING DISGRACE these physics, this doesn't happen to any car, anywhere... I HAVE FEAR of moving the bloody analog stick! WHERE IN BLOODY HELL DID THEY GET THE IDEA THAT A 2010 GOLF GTI JUST FREAKING SPINS OUT OF CONTROL IN EVERY, AND I DO MEAN EVERY SINGLE, FREAKING, BLOODY TURN???????:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Now, you finish the race, sweating... and then you have two very easy races. Now I am stuck with a time attack of one lap around Ibiza 119km. This is just ridiculous, I couldn't trust any car to race this challenge, so I'll take my most trustworthy car, my 370Z!
-
I have to disagree. Most challenges are easy, even too easy. But then you get to the Cups and things get awfully difficult for no reason. I was playing the Ibiza Cup A7 Time Attack Challenge and I am tired, my eyes are burning and my body hurts. That challenge is disproportionately hard. I think they shouldn't make challenges that hard, specially given that most of the other challenges are stupid easy and the crappy physics the game has. I am trying to hold my Golf's grip and its just impossible, I go as fast as I can but there is always a turn in which I can't help my self but lose control of the car, so I think they should have thought about the crappy physics engine thy built and the fact that the game has a low frame rate before making certain challenges suddently so hard.
-
MAN, THAT IS AWFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its impossible, I am like 5 seconds ahead of the competition, but then suddently (even though I am going as fast I can) I just start losing more and more time. Its awfully difficult. It happens in lots of races in TDU2, in the same race you have parts that are too easy and parts that are impossible. Plus, even though my Golf GTI has tuning to max level, Tess Wintory's Golf that is 5 meters behind my own, is always faster than mine till 100kmp1h (at least), really annoying!
-
THE GAME IS ACCEPTABLE, ITS EVEN GOOD... BUT HAS ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE OF SPEED, ASIDE FROM THAT IT CAN BE REALLY FUN, of course unless you tend to get frustrated when your adversaries don't share the same physics you do!:D You can ram your adversaries car all you want and they will stay on track, but if any of them touches you, you are off the road. This is absolutely not a complain, actually you are gonna be glad when you beat those SOB's in the end of the race.
-
The SUVs are kind of nice, they don't have much feeling to them and the handling is very unstable but I enjoyed most of them. Except of course th Touareg, perhaps because I already experienced the real car. My uncle had a Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 V6 TDI and the car is amazing. It has lots and lots of power, so when I get to the game and I see that that the car sounds like a vacuum cleaner and doesn't really have any power, its really, really disappointing, and plus the one in the game is 5.0 V10, its supposed to be even more powerfull.

TDU2's First 10 Minutes of Hell
Elder_of_Lyons replied to Elder_of_Lyons's topic in Driving & Racing Games
The things is ... people who play the game on the consoles! There are no mods, and the thing I wanted the most (by far) which is better sense of speed... I don't think many people care about that and I think EDEN doesn't care either. Driving in TDU2 is so painful, you can't feel the car, you can't feel the brakes, the acceleration of those beasts like the Zonda or the GT-R, and AGAIN I am even more mad at it because TDU1 would let you personalize the amount of shake and blur you wanted, also I think the rearview mirrors shouldn't work, because it would be better than having a PS1/Nintendo 64 version of the game playing in them while you drive:D. In the Ascari A10 you just can't miss it:p. -
TDU2's First 10 Minutes of Hell
Elder_of_Lyons replied to Elder_of_Lyons's topic in Driving & Racing Games
If you don't like what I say why do you keep reading my threads and posting? You know that this thread is about complaining why do you still read it? This is just a normal response from people who buyed the game and now are stuck with something that is arguably worst than the first TDU. Childish whining is complaining about why the game doesn't have tow trucks and 10 islands. I wonder what you think is constructive criticism? Do you think that complaining about the fact that Oahu is horrible compared to Ibiza, that the game has a completely unstable frame rate, synthesised engine sounds, poor sound effects, no sense of speed, childish storyline, disappointing car list, terrible physics, crashes and save game bugs, lack of options, steering wheel compatibility problems, is not constructive? Do you think that a game that is released 5 years later then the first one and still can be compared to it and be worse in some points is not a reason? Is it also not a reason that this game is completely behind pretty much every modern racing game in engine sounds, physics, graphics and sense of speed? This game completely "lends itself" to criticism! What were they expecting?... that they could just throw this game to the shelves and that no one would notice that this game is flawed to the last bit? This game delivers a worst experience then the first one in almost every aspect, so the least I can do is write about this failure. If people don't like it, create a thread talking about how great the game is or ban me permanently like in the official forums. I buy the game, save money for all DLCs, spend time writing about what I like and dislike and still people talk to me like this? You should be complaining about those who rent the game for a week and then never buy the actual game and its DLCs, or those who come here talk about the game and never even buy it. I spent my money, I will spend my money further on every single DLC that comes around so I can make sure that at least from me, they have all the support to keep making new TDUs, I think that gives me the right to write some complains, in a forum, in a thread that no one is even forced to read or comment on! -
TDU2's First 10 Minutes of Hell
Elder_of_Lyons replied to Elder_of_Lyons's topic in Driving & Racing Games
I play the game on the PS3. The frame rate is never great but when it comes to cornering... its bad enough with normal cars, but with cars like the Mustang and the Golf GTI that inexplicably lose traction in every single corner its almost impossible. Also I don't know why, but cars like the Aston Martin V12 that should have very good grip just do the same thing. Its kind of bizarre but you will enjoy the game better when driving classic cars on the asphalt or SUV's on dirt then the Super Sports cars. They have no feel to them, its just all plain and unattractive. You get the same feeling from accelerating a Lancia Delta to 60mph and a Pagani Zonda. Its really messed up!:-x -
Its kind of terrible but I can assure you that the B3 License in Oahu is very nice and challenging. The B4 Challenge in Ibiza is awfull though!

TDU2's First 10 Minutes of Hell

UFA O'TDU2: United Force Against the Official TDU2 Forum Elder Of Lyons: "I have had the previlege of playing Test Drive Unlimited 2 and behold the ambition and boldness of a company that swore to change the racing genre forever. Its not everyday that we see a company the size of EDEN, embark in such a great journey against the tyranny and close mindedness of bigger companies, whose objective is only to profit and keep the same formula over and over again. Per contra, Test Drive is the antithesis of the modern modus operandi of making videogames solely for the consequent harvest of receipts. Thus I can assert that money spent on Test Drive Unlimited 2 is indeed money well bestowed. Henceforth, every fan as well as every videogamer will be able to rejoice in the enormous world that EDEN has built for our delight. So, shall I not epitomize greatness any further, for greatness is what this game will bequeath! Thank you very much EDEN/ATARI for defying the boundaries of the racinggenre and providing us with a masterpiece of freedom and joy, that will surely be everlastingly remembered by a loyal legion of fans." Well, my friends this is the kind of feedback you are all expected to give in the official TDU2 forums, anything else will be a reason to ban you permanently. My personal bet is that by the end of the month, the Official TDU2 forum will be composed by 4 or 5 moderators talking to themselves. Official TDU2 Forum WARNING: Whoever posts feedback that doesn't say the game is absolutely perfect and that the game devs are gods from the Lyon Pantheon are to be shot in the nearest race track.
