  1. Interesting, never seen TVR mentioned in relation to the crew before. Impressive to see them acknowledge McLaren and Ferrari the way they did in that article, most manufactures avoid talking about their competitors like that. It does seem a little vague but I'd think that if TVR says their cars are licensed to be in the crew, than they probably will be.
  2. Was just looking at this pic from the first page: Noticed it says 75 cars in collection. Can't remember from the PC beta if that number lists all the cars available or just the ones you own, but either way that's a decent number of cars. I guess since we've seen the devs playing with DLC cars already some of those could be included in there too, but still. We've also only found 62 cars so far, so there are definitely more to come before launch.
  3. I've seen a lot of mixed opinions of the crew, and as much as I was looking forward to the game I was actually pretty skeptical my first half hour or so spent playing the game in the first PC beta. But after I got used to the car handling I didn't find it bad at all. I've certainly played arcade racers that drove better, but I'm not sure I've enjoyed the gameplay of any other racer as much as I have the crew. It's not perfect (though I'm sure the handling/car physics will be more improved in the full release of the game) but I think they did a pretty good job of finding a good balance between arcade and simulation, and I think they nailed the handling for off road racing. Yeah it certainly doesn't look as graphically impressive as say NFS Rivals, but that game didn't have enough depth or content to last more than a dozen hours or so. I think that's where the crew has the ability to stand on it's own two feet, by providing you with a lot of content that is as enjoyable to play though as it is varied. I'm really hoping Ubisoft let's Ivory Tower do everything they want to as far as post release content goes, haven't seen Ubisoft handle anything this close to an MMO before. Anyways that response ended up being way longer than I thought it would be. I know I'd like to see the game do well, and I'm hoping that once people get their hands on the full completed game that it starts to gain a more positive reputation.
  4. After being on the fence for a long wile I finally pre-ordered the gold edition on PSN. No doubt I'll also pick it up during a Steam sale someday but for now I'm on PS4. Psykov | PSN: Psykov01
  5. Yeah looks like a Viper to me, good eye. First time we've seen it ingame as far as I know. Now we just need to see a Lotus or two.
  6. Yeah a CCXR would be nice, still holding out for a Veyron though. I'd like to see more of the Zonda in the game too, kind of hoping that it's not actually a Zonda R, and that it's and S or an F, that can be turned into an R through the circuit spec. I much prefer the look of the S and F models.
  7. It kind of reminds me of a Ford GT40 actually, just wish it didn't have that ridiculous wing on the roof. Either way I do appreciate Ivory Tower basing their designs off of real life cars, especially things as obscure as the Jota SVR. You'd think with all the different companies out there in the world that make Diablo and Murcielago kit cars that there would be someone making Miura replicas. If they existed I would order one in a heartbeat. Maybe someday...
  8. Cool, didn't realize front mount fuel tanks were a thing. Just don't rear end my Aston Martin with one of those and we'll be fine.
  9. That actually looks pretty good, minus the park bench attached to the back of it. Anyone know what that little tank on the front would be for IRL?
  10. I'm all for tuning supercars, I just haven't seen any game designers that can create anything on the same level as Techart, Gemballa, Mansory, Hamann etc. etc. To be fair though some of those companies have made some pretty terrible looking cars.
  11. Just watched the video, very very happy that the La Ferrari looks pretty much stock even in performance spec. I'm not familiar enough with the car to have noticed any exterior mods on it but it looks close enough to keep me happy. Really hope we have the option in the full game of keeping stock visual parts for performance and street spec, otherwise I'll just be driving a full stock V8 Vantage the whole game.
  12. I tend to always go with German cars but in this case I'd have the R34, pretty hard to beat a twin turbo straight six with AWD. Used one in the first beta and had a good time with it. Now if it was an E46 M3 that'd be a different story. And yeah I wish we could tune a car's performance while leaving it's appearance stock, way too much rice in this game.
  13. That is indeed a V12 Zagato, though with a small handful of inaccurately modeled details. Still though, I'll gladly take anything with a Zagato badge on it. Yeah that's definitely a 4C headlight, surprised to see it advertised as a dlc car since we've already seen it in a trailer, even if just for a second.
  14. Yeah I'm hoping for more specs in the full game, I was pretty disappointed that the GTI was street only, I enjoyed driving it. As for classics being kitted out in bodykits etc. I totally agree, I guess I was talking more about modern classics like the Z3 coupe, E46, Scirocco. I do think there are few actual classics that would fit into the game in a few different specs though, like the GTA as I mentioned, but something like the E-Type would definitely be out of place in the crew.
  15. Yeah as a euro biased car guy myself I'm definitely disappointed with that aspect of the game, I mean I have an appreciation for everything but there's really nothing at all for your classic or popular european cars, as nice as the latest M5, GTI and whatever else might be. And like you said, so many possibilities with the brands they already have the licenses for. For that sake I'm hoping we see lots of dlc cars for the game. As far as the 3 series goes I'd love to see the E46 in-game, lot's of different variants of it that they could include, same with the E30. I think the Z3 Coupe would be a great fit for the game too, would love to see what a raid spec version of one would look like. Bunch of missed opportunities as far as raid/rally cars go already, especially with the Alfa Romeo license, the GTA being my personal favorite. And even though I'm not massively into the JDM scene, I really feel like Ivory Tower failed there. The R34 is a sweet car, but it would be nice to see the R33 in a video game every now and again. Anyways, I could go on and on listing my favorite classic and obscure cars for hours. I've seen and played enough of the game to know that I'll enjoy it, and I'm sure we'll see more new cars added to the game before release.
  16. Yeah with all the fords, chevys and dodges in the game, you'd think another ferrari or two wouldn't hurt. I'd love to see the 599, it would fit the game perfectly. The 599 GTO could be the performance spec version, and the 599XX could be the race spec version. Wouldn't mind seeing an old ferrari like a daytona or california either.
  17. Yeah I thought that too, but in the legal text at the end of one of the trailers it mentions both cars by name, so I would guess they must both be in the game individually. Yeah It really is. The number of cars in the game was pretty much my biggest concern about the game for a while, but that's not really the case any more. It seems to have a really good variety so far too, even if there is a little bias towards american muscle.
  18. Good eyes spotting the 4C. I'm surprised the game has both the 3400K and the CTR-3, since both cars are based on the Porsche Cayman. I would have thought that with a race spec 3400K there would be no need for the CTR-3, glad Ivory Tower didn't use that logic though. I'd absolutely love to see the CTR Yellowbird or BTR next, the Dakara would be a great fit too.
  19. Yeah I'd guess that's probably the RAID spec version of the normal Touareg, aside from that buggy every other car in the game seems to be the normal road going variant of whatever it is. And I remember back at E3 2013 in the Gamespot stage demo (I'd post a link but the forums won't let me, it's around 5:09 in the video), Julian Gerighty said all the RAID spec care are based on real life designs, so that would only make sense. As far as an ingame user music player, didn't notice there was one, wouldn't mind listening to some industrial or drum & bass myself.
  20. Wow, some high prices out there. For me here in Canada on steam it's $60 USD for the regular edition, and $85 for gold. As for whether or not it's worth it, I'd say yes. I'm totally fine with paying for extra content for my games. I find as I get older and actually have more money to spend on stuff, that I'd rather just pay the extra $25 now and just sit back and relax as I automatically get any DLC released for the game. Typically getting a season pass ends up being cheaper than buying all the DLC for a game individually anyway. As for console or PC, I was surprised when I looked at the Tduck club sign up thread you guys have for The Crew. I kind of figured I'd just get the game for PS4 because that's where most people would get it, and that 4 or 5 years from now I'd still have people to play with on there, but you guys seem to be proving that thought wrong. Maybe I will just get it on PC, I'd be playing it with my PS4 gamepad either way.
  21. So The Crew was added to Steam today and I was surprised to see the option of a "Gold" edition of the game, which includes the limited edition, as well as a season pass. There aren't any details on what the pass will provide access to but it's got me interested, not many racing games have season passes, so it almost makes me wonder if Ivory Tower will be releasing more than just new car packs. Didn't realize til today too that they've said they plan to release free regular content. I'd kind of hope they add stuff like cars as paid DLC, and add new events and maybe even locations as free updates, but either way I'm interested to see what they do. I'd have pre-ordered it already if I could make up my mind about whether to get the PC or PS4 version of the game.
  22. I'd like to see the Elise myself, either the current or pre facelift S2. I was disappointed back when it looked like the game was only going to have about 40 cars, so all the evidence of new cars we've had lately definitely makes me look forward to the game even more.
  23. I noticed when I read the legal stuff at the end of the trailer that it was produced under license from Lotus Group Plc. First time I've seen Lotus mentioned in relation to the game, looking forward to seeing which of their cars we are going to get. And yeah I love that the circuit spec cars all seem to be based on real life touring cars,
