  1. I agree with pretty much everything here, really annoyed at the missing specs in general but like you said street spec should be available on every car. The lack of traction is definitely a big issue with the game. I hate how on high level cars, perf spec especially, how hitting the nitrous while driving in a straight line causes wheelspin no matter what speed you are going. I don't think there is any car on earth that has enough torque to create wheelspin at 200 mph. Also my 458 oversteers on any corner with even the slightest amount of throttle, pretty uncharacteristic of a Ferrari. Been enjoying the game the more I play it, but there is a lot of stuff that needs to be addressed, and sadly I don't think much of it will be.
  2. Sounds like the same issue I'm having, do you get kicked to the main menu when you finish a faction mission?
  3. Yeah that's my guess, pretty unimpressive that Ubisoft would pull that move. Especially since you can drive some of the missing specs in the story missions. I think it's a little underhanded to make us wait 5 months for content that has been finished since before day 1.
  4. Unfortunately that's an issue I've been having. I pre-ordered the gold edition on psn and while all the bonuses and season pass are showing up as registered to my account, I have none of the stuff ingame, no street editions or season pass cars. After playing the beta through 4 times with the cars available at the start I was looking forward starting out with some new cars, but I'm already to the point now where I can just buy the full versions of those cars anyway. On top of that, for most of today I couldn't even play the game because of some issue retrieving my save data from ubisoft. Also whenever I finish a pvp event or faction mission I get disconnected from the game's servers before I can get the XP/Bucks/Rep for completing it. No pvp or faction missions also really limits the amount of money I can make right now. So for the moment, I am limited to just the story missions and whatever cars I gain access to normally and can afford only making about a grand per story mission. Anyways I'm having a very, very hard time trying to enjoy the game right now. I'm sure once/if all these issues are dealt with it will be fine, but if anyone is reading this who hasn't bought the game yet, based on the experience I've had I'd suggest you wait another couple weeks or so. As it is now the game just feels like it's in the next stage of beta testing.
  5. Good lord that was impressive, some of the best CG I've ever seen. Trailer itself wasn't half bad either. Anyone ingame yet? I still have to wait til midnight for my PSN digital copy to unlock. :( Going to be a late night tonight.
  6. I wondered how that was going to work, sounds like a pretty reasonable approach to the online aspect of the game all things considered.
  7. The 427 is an engine yeah, one that was put in the MKIII Cobras. Don't know if Shelby ever put it in any other cars but the Cobra is mentioned in there so I'd say it'll be in the game in some form. Didn't even notice the SR mentioned there. Doesn't this game have enough Mustangs already?
  8. Just took a look at the game's credits myself and noticed a couple things. The Zonda is mentioned by name, as well as the Shelby Cobra 427. I'm guessing the Cobra is either a roadster with a hardtop or a Daytona coupe, since we haven't seen any open top convertibles in the game. Either one's fine by me, gives us one more car to play with. Edit: Actually here's a pic from that same reddit post that shows that stuff.
  9. "the credits also confirm the GT-R R35 to be making an appearance"
  10. I'd hardly call those "patch notes". Still though, I'd be interested to see a full list of changes for the launch build of the game.
  11. Don't forget we didn't have daily salaries in the betas like we will in the full game. And I'd imagine some of the faction missions will probably offer bigger rewards than what we've seen so far. Not sure which betas you've been in but the in the last console beta the rewards from pvp races were raised about 2k over the PC betas, dunno if it was the same in the 1st console beta but either way, I appreciated it.
  12. Pretty sure I voted then posted. Maybe when Mercedes-Benz's vote was switched mine disappeared with his. Mercedes are known for electrical issues after all. :D
  13. Weird, when I voted there was only one other vote, so maybe things hadn't quite "initialized" yet. I thought maybe I never hit submit too but there was no option for me to vote today. Maybe I'm just trying to inflate the positive votes on here to make the game look better mwahahahaha.
  14. A little surprised at some of the responses on here. I absolutely agree that the car physics in the game feel very artificial, but at least for me it doesn't limit my enjoyment of the game. I've had no difficulty getting any of the cars I've tried to do what I want on the road. On that note I did manage to get my hands on the 1967 Shelby GT500 before the last beta ended, and I was very impressed with the way it handled. It wasn't at all realistic, but the way you could throw it into corners and drift out of them in the typical sort of video game American muscle way was very fun to me. I just didn't like the stupid little spoiler the game forced me to have on it in street spec. Anyways I voted "Pad with Hardcore | I liked it" and my vote seems to have disappeared, I suspect sabotage. Would love to try the game with a wheel though, been wanting one of those Fanatec Porsche GT2 or GT3 wheels for ages now.
  15. I hadn't played the first console beta so I'm not sure how much improved it was from the PC betas, but in the second console beta I was actually pretty impressed with the handling. I felt like whatever weird unpredictability that was present in the PC betas had been removed leaving it feel much more refined. As I've said before on here I feel like Ivory Tower have done a great job at finding a happy medium between simulation and arcade. As someone who is typically playing games on the more hardcore side of the spectrum, I didn't think they would come up with a driving model I would enjoy so much. My only gripe is that I hardly noticed any change at all in the feel of full assist, sport, or hardcore but I stuck with hardcore and was happy with it. In the PS4 beta I got to play with a couple friends who weren't quite as into cars or racing games as I am, but we all still had loads of fun playing the game, so in that sense I think the handling as it is now offers both accessibility and enough of a pseudo-realistic feel to attract people like me and the more casual audience. I'm sure there will be some, but I can't imagine too many people complaining about it at launch. I think for the most part people will be pleased with the handling.
  16. Yeah it definitely has the same kind of feel to it, especially when you are actually in LA in the game. Really hope Rockstar does another midnight club someday soon, such good games.
  17. Anyone know where ubisoft wants bug reports submitted to? I had a few while playing the beta that I think are worth drawing the dev's attention to. Most notably one where all my cars performance were gimped for the duration of the beta, making missions difficult and pvp races un-winable.
  18. In case you haven't seen it already, this is kinda cool. Are you ready for some challenges? | | News | The Crew Edit: Also brutally misspelled the word "challenge" if someone wants to fix that. It's like 2 am and I've been studying all night, also hoping that the beta will go live soon but it's probably time to just go to bed.
  19. Very interested to see what it feels like now, as I've said before I think they've nailed the balance between sim and arcade racer, now they just need to perfect the feel of it. I'm also interested just because I haven't played since the second pc beta. I wonder how noticeable the "slight upgrade of the overall graphics" is.
  20. Yeah the car count/list really doesn't look bad at all, especially when you're getting 2 for 1 in a lot of cases based on what we've seen so far.
  21. Yeah I watched that video myself last night and saw it in better detail, it does say Xfinity Edition. Must be another preorder car or something. I also noticed that when the dev is choosing his car ingame, the C Spec version of the MP4-12C is listed as the 12C GT3, so it's interesting to see them using the real names of cars from different specs when they are based on a real life counterpart, vs just calling it an MP4-12C circuit spec.
  22. Ah I wondered if maybe that was the case, though I just went back and looked at the picture I linked and if you add up all the cars listed from all 6 specs, there should be 59, not 75, so who knows where that number is coming from. Like you said I can't see there being 202 cars in the game even with the season pass stuff. Can't tell what the text is by the CTR3 in the picture you linked though, looks like it says something-finity edition? I guess I wasn't paying attention to the Viper stuff, thought you guys had spotted the SRT-10, not the latest model. Very nice.
