help! TDU2 (Modded) not closing itself properly?
MichaelB450 replied to MichaelB450's topic in Tools / Others Mod
I have figured out what was causing this... It was related to Discord... All I did was disable "Hardware Acceleration" in the "Appearance" tab... Since then the issue has been resolved. Edit: Overlay should also be disabled, since it appears that the overlay gets screwed up sometimes when you launch the modded version of the game. -

Knyazev : TDU2 Universal Launcher [v3.6]
MichaelB450 replied to Knyazev's topic in Tools / Others Mod
Do I need .NET Framework 3.5? Or does .NET Framework 4.5 work perfectly fine? -
I have an issue with TDU2, it only appears to be happening with my modded version of my game and I am going to install the standard game to check to see if the modded version is indeed the culprit... Basically if I play the game normally and then exit out of it, I notice that my GPU is randomly staying at base clock for about 30 seconds and then it stops. But whenever I start opening anything on my computer (even Windows Explorer) my GPU will randomly spike up to base clock and it will continue spiking between idle and base clock. It almost seems like TDU2 is still somehow running on my system ram, even though its closed. I have tried every other graphically intensive game that I own and none of them make my GPU react like this... So far the only way to fix this issue is to restart my computer and after the restart everything goes back to normal... Like I said, I am currently installing the standard game to see if it's TDU2 in general that's causing this... Edit: The unmodded version of TDU2 does not make my graphics card go crazy after I exit the game... PC specs: Intel i5 3750K 8GB of Ram (DDR3-2400) Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB (Running on latest Nvidia drivers)

released StarGT : Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 fixed for TDU2 AutoPack
MichaelB450 replied to StarGT's topic in Vehicle Mods
A lot of you would agree that modding should be passion driven and not money driven. But everyone could also agree that it's always nice to gain money from what you enjoy doing. I'm pretty sure that StarGT really enjoys making mods, but again he needs some way to pay himself back from the passion and hard work from making mods. -

They only spread malware if you click on something that isn't part of your download... I have a really good virus scanner on my computer and it's not triggered by the download link. Also he stated on another thread that he has no links on forum posts, including videos. -
Newest version works perfectly for me, that error from before was quite annoying and now it's gone!

It appears that his web browser is not set up correctly for those types of links... -

The download links are there, your browser most likely isn't configured correctly to show the links. -

Update #2: the whining sound at the higher RPM is now fixed. Download link is the same.

Update, I figured out what was causing the strange whining sounds in my sound mods. It was linked to the "subwave" sound file and deleting it got rid of the whining sound at the higher RPMs.

released Porsche Cayman GT4 Sound Mod
MichaelB450 replied to MichaelB450's topic in Car Customization Mods
Update: I have done one change to the sound mod that will remove that whining sound at the higher RPM. I figured out what was making that sound and I have removed that file, so now the sound is as pure as it can be. The download link is the same by the way. I would update the original post so that it says Version 1.1, but I am not able to edit the original post for some reason...- 7 replies

Quick update, apparently I had a few sound files that were redundant and I have deleted them. I also realized that I removed/altered a few sound files that were in the original file and I have put them back to normal. The result of this update is a smaller file size and no difference in sound quality from the original mod. It might be a little bit better quality, but I personally can't tell a difference between the current and first version... The new file version uses the same download link as the first version, so that download link still works.

Porsche Cayman GT4 Sound Mod (Version 1.1) Credits: Assetto Corsa | Welcome to my second sound mod that uses Assetto Corsa sounds for most of the engine sounds, using sounds from the Porsche Cayman GT4. With this sound mod I also used the horn sound from the Lotus Evora, since it's pretty much exactly like the horn from the real Cayman GT4. I am aware that the sound mod isn't perfect in the sense that the sounds don't mix too well, but I have tried my best to make them mix together as elegantly as possible. Sound file is named differently for vehicle that the Cayman GT4 3D model replaces, simply rename the sound file to "rk_spyder_high" and the sound will work. Just be sure to make a backup of the original sound file, in case you ever want to revert back to the original TDU2 files. If you like my sound mods and would like to show some support, you can donate me some money. Donations are not necessary, but are greatly appreciated! Donation link

Blinks, Did you reinstall the everything including the Autopack cars? I am pretty sure that what must have happened is that you didn't replace one of the files that regulates all the vehicles in the dealerships and so forth.

Shadic82 you're onto something. I checked the 3D model for the medium quality model and it's much bigger than the default model. Download this file, put the "euro" folder into your modded game location, allow it to replace the file, and check to see if that fixes it. Chances are that the C7 Stingray was a mod that originally replaced the ZR1 and StarGT probably forgot to remove the ZR1 file that had the C7 3D model replacement.

Thanks boss! Edit: What free hex editors do you recommend? Or can I convert Notepad++ to work as a Hex Editor?

I'm a bit stuck on sound modding, the only thing that I am really stuck on is making the sounds work properly without being muffled in certain cases. The muffled sounds only really happen with sound files that combine together sounds, and when I delete those sounds the main ones get muffled a bit. I know that the "CarVSTConfig.xmb" file has something to do with mixing the sound files, but I have not been able to figure out how to read those files properly. Opening them in a text editor only brings up computer language. Any help is much appreciated!

Hey StarGT, could you add this car to Autopack in the future? https://www.facebook.com/3Dcarmodels/photos/ms.c.eJw9ytENgFAIA8CNDJQW~_~;ZfzESU38ulCIYIKNInrxwoD2gBcgnFH9AvMBZmcEd6wB~;w1sl2gw9~_hhe1.bps.a.925335627542210.1073741832.903963843012722/1542405422501891/?type=3&theater

But you recently added the 911 GT3, now you're adding something much faster than it. In any case, I welcome the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

It will only cause lag in the car dealerships and your house garages (if all the vehicle slots have modded cars in them). Overall the game will run the same outside of the dealerships and house garages, since the game engine is not rendering all the car models at the same time in the instance. If you have an SSD drive on your computer I highly suggest putting the game on there, since my game freezes up for a half a second in free roam when the game is rendering a modded vehicle that a player or an AI player is using.
