Great game with a good story behing it ... BUT It'll be terrible ... you name a good film that's come from a computer game? Tomb Raiders - terrible Resident Evils - dire Super Mario Bros - what were they thinking? Doom - cringe-worthy (although I liked bit that had the same shot of the gun going up and down as you walk as per the game ... but you can't like a movie from one shot) Mortal Kombat - Nooooooo Streetfighter - well it had Kylie in it Dead or Alive - good eye-candy (awaiting Baldred's comment about my one tracked mind) but terrible film again Wing Commander - ? Final Fantasy: Spirits within - superb animation but what about the plot Well that's a few I can think of ... doesn't look good does it?

Well by the names it's been given it's a small GT ... so it fits as a baby brother/sister to the 612 really So this gives the product line-up as GT California - Small GT cruiser - 80k-130k (I'm guessing more expensive than a Masser Gran Turismo but less than a F430?) F430 (in all it's guises) - sports/track car - 130k 599 GTB - high performance GT (flagship) - 180k 612 - big GT cruiser & 4 seater- 180k Supercar - whenever the next one turns up as in 288GTO/F40/F50/Enzo Prices might be wrong as they're off a random website Yeah there is a hint of 8C there too ... surprising that really ... I wonder what they all have in common <scratches head> Drift - IT'S SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE A BABY FERRARI COS THAT'S WHAT IT IS Iced - NUGGET ?????

Obviously they couldn't wait to show off their baby Well the countdown is still ticking but they've decided to release some shots of the WHOLE car and some specs already ... May I present the Ferrari California (possibly GT involved in there somewhere too) It's all Ally(minium) ... has a foldy metal roof (a ferrari first) ... 460hp 4.3ltr V8 7speed with dual clutch (another ferrari first) ... 0-60 sub 4secs ... and about 310 thingymagigs per foreign miles of nasty gas Doesn't say how much it is ... BUT I WANT ONE! Love the front end ... especially the old GT California style intake on the bonnet (pic of a 58 attached to show where they've got some of the styling cues from ... bonnet vent, wing vent, rear haunch (although see note below)) Oh anyone thing the rear haunch/back end has a touch of TVR about it?

just do a search on F149 there's tonnes of spy shots ... but most of them are hacked Ferraris ... no one is quite sure what it is ... apart from a 'small' GT most probably with a version of the Masser 4.2 V8 which actually was originally a Ferrari lump ... the engine is supposed to be front mounted, and all the protos have been front engined cars ... oh and it's rumoured to be a CC (coupe, convertible ... otherwise known as foldy metal roof) ... there's also supposed to be a CC Masser at some point ... was originally rumoured to be the Gran Turismo but it might be a smaller car as the new GT is bigger than the outgoing Masser oh and here's some pics of a mule (test vehicle) care of autoblog http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/06/spy-shots-ferrari-f149-spotted-sans-butt-camo/

Well an event well worth writing about is happening soon. Ferrari is to launch a NEW car at the Paris Motor Show. Well ever man and his dog got their 'weekend' car out yesterday ... can't think why and I saw a car for Diablo ... a Purple Diablo SV Roadster ... I'm guessing it was an SV as it had the SV style wing on the rear ... and I'm guessing it was a real one by the racket it was making and the location I saw it in when I know there are lots of expensive houses

That should be the tallest building as that was the 'Empire State' by the looks of things? As to the place Mellors showed us for how to jump and survive ... it's the wierd observation towers in the park from the 'World Fair' that was in the movie 'Men In Black' ... as Mellors showed you dive onto parked cars!

yeah the car physics and damage is pretty good ... like the way all the cars handle differently ... oh and you can kill people by ramming their car hard enough ... did it the other night in single player ... hit a car head on at a bit of speed in a patriot and got out, walked over to the car I'd hit and there was the driver slumped at the wheel as to the fire hydrants ... you can get them to barrel roll cars if you hit them right! oh and the sound of the broken polive siren makes me crack up every time ... to get it smash the light bar in whatever manner you want and just listen!

nice Audi Khevo as to insurance ... it's based on lots of things ... in terms of the car side of things we do insurance rating crash tests for low speed knocks and then it's worked out how much it would cost ro repair, so that plays a part ... also how old was the Fiesta? If it was older than this one of the reasons may also be that it is generally a more safer car to drive ... also if your Fiesta was a 'hot/warm hatch' it could easily have a higher rating than this as it isn't viewed as 'boy racer' as to mods ... wouldn't do too much to it ... perhaps get some different Audi wheels?

When I saw this it remined me of those carboard cars you cut out and make the grille is very similar to a Fisker (spelling might be off there?) as to comparing it to a Veyron ... well it's more of a proper car than the 'American thing' ... but still by a small car maker and so won't be doing the same level of testing/reliability etc

as carmad says ... there's Liberty City to cruise these days ! I'll return to TDU at some point ... a game I just can't put down for too long

I like my M3-alike (Sentinel?) ... got one in gold sitting out side the starting flat (yes I haven't got far) ... other fave cars are the Z-28-alike (great to drift) and the Corvette-alike (espcially when it's white with the red stripe)

well I don't normally post here as I normally see a reasonable amount of decent cars on the road each day but this was worth it ... so I was driving down the A12 towards the M25 and a silver 911 appears behind me ... then I notice the plate looks wierd ... kinda like a trade plate ... so I pull over to let him past ... and there was another behind him ... and another ... and another ... in total 5 911s of various guises (inc 2 convertibles and a Turbo) and a grey Cayman ... all on Belgium plates all with 'old' (as in old compared to me) men driving with their wife/girlfriend/mistress in the passenger seat. Wierd huh? ... I guess there's some Porsche thing on in the UK and they could have come over on the Harwich Ferry?
