Hi Suio and all others interested in joining the club, Thanks for your interest in the club. The names are only added to the list once you have accepted your invitation. As stated in the rules you will receive your invitation when you have come to a few cruises. This is so we can get to know you and you can see what we do. We will start the cruises again after the patch is out, we are all praying it fixes the major problems. After the patch is out keep checking the cruises/meetings thread for more information on when and where to meet. There is a map on page 3 of that thread of where we normally meet. Unfortunately all we can do now is just wait for the patch and have fun with the game as much as we can.

I don't think they are working on a 360 patch, maybe someone else knows something different.

Yes this is good advice also I trick I do if they keep ramming you is hit pause and they go right though you. Like you say hopefully out into the ocean never to return. :)

Yes the list of members I will add soon, from what I remember and I got to check with timo TDU Central #2 is empty apart from timo. We are in need for a TDU Central comms server. I am looking at how to setup a team speak one but if you know of something better the that is cool. :D

The major problems are connecting to people. Even after you have added all your friends so you can see them on the map, you have to keep clicking on them to get in the same session. Then there are the laggy FPS mostly in the city and the last few days the cars in the same session are lagging all over the place. Hopefully this is because half the server is being used to test the patch because after all the months of playing it has never been this bad. Also the clubhouses are not fully working. But the game is so good you can live with the problems. I have described it before like owning a TVR, all week to fix it for 1 hour of pleasure. :D

Yes I guess this is a small expense for now and they will make a big profit out of it in the end. :(

We've not done any cruises we have just been driving around having fun. We are waiting for the patch because trying to get only 3 people in the same session has taken up far too much time. We are just praying the patch will fix all the connection problems, the last few days even with just 2 cars has been very laggy.

Another tip I found out yesterday is restart the PC before you record. This empties out the memory and I could record constantly for 10mins before it started to slow down again.

If you all played TDU the last few days you should have had a news report at your house about the cheaters. Atari are going to reset all the leader boards and scores starting in the next few weeks. There is still no date for the patch but we are one more step closer. I would guess no later than the end of June but we will have to wait for the official announcement.

The Germans have lots of fan sites so they keep the community popular. There will be a lot more people very soon when the patch is out. Also it has just been made available on the popular download site where you pay a fee to play hundreds of games. The popular places where you are guaranteed to find people are the lighthouse in the top left corner of the map. The town centre, race track and the long straight road outside the top airfield. You normally fill all 8 slots with players at these places within a few minutes. Then you have the community here where we do lots of meets and events. If the patch is as good as we all hope I can see we will never stop playing TDU....... well that is until TDU2 is available. ;)

There is some news on the net about the exclusive episodic content. This is from the Virginmedia website:- "Take-Two Interactive's second quarter financial report claims only the Xbox 360 will get episodic GTA IV content. At E3 2006, Microsoft's Peter Moore announced that GTA IV was to be released for Xbox 360 and would be followed with exclusive episodic content delivered over Xbox Live. Some months later a source close to Rockstar North revealed that the PlayStation 3 would also get episodic content, unique to the platform. A financial document released by Take-Two has now revealed that only the Xbox 360 version will receive episodic content - listed for release in 2008. This could be a mistake on the part of Take-Two, but might also be a major coo for Microsoft. The GTA series has been a mainstay of the PlayStation and the PS3 version missing out on content could drive hardened fans to the rival platform. The financial report also indicates that Rockstar's LA Noire is to be a PlayStation 3 exclusive. We've been trying to get hold of Rockstar for an official comment, but have so far had no luck - watch this space" If they have not got it wrong then Sony are in big trouble with the PS3. :shocked:
