  1. Quite impressed by this, even though it was just a design study by AM and then outsourced or 'partnered' out to Quintessence Yachts, the turn around to us actually seeing a working prototype and for them to actually go ahead and do a production run is rather crazy too. It looks immense. A few things, such as the locking glass mechanism, and the 'convertible' sunshade thing wasn't working at the time either, would be surprised if that ever makes the production model as it's rather cray cray. I think it's a great idea for AM if they can make a profit on it eventually, they're not exactly diluting the brand are they, these are very high end exclusive products.
  2. Just drift mode tbh, the fact it can be rwd is absolutely fine but I just think that a drift mode encourages a 'WATCH THIS BRUH!' attitude.
  3. I don't think i'll ever agree with drift mode in a car like this. Executive saloons, especially fast and top-end executive saloons will be driven by those who get their thrills via mistresses/ladies of the night/dealing drugs/taking class A drugs/being a bit of a penis, as much as using drift mode in public would fall under 'being a bit of a penis', I just don't think the Venn Diagram for people who want drift mode and the genuine E63 Market will overlap that much, perhaps a tad, but not enough to make it a necessity.
  4. You can still have a more exciting design than an M5 without it being gaudy and over the top. I've warmed to the E63 though, it's not as ew as I first thought having now seen a head-on pic of the front. That said, the moment Merc offer factory stripes on the thing, it's doomed.
  5. Not sure on the grille or any of the front fascia tbh, it's all way over the top and uggggggly AF, might be functional but meh. Would I have one over an RS6? Sedan, definitely, estate, i'm unsure tbh.
  6. We seem to have forgotten to post the trailer since thursday but here it is: Why u make us wait a year R*
  7. Oh jeez, I hadn't even spotted that the sportback was $8k cheaper, one year younger with a 5k less on the odo. :hmmm: There's no contest there, unless the sedan has a crazy spec sheet.
  8. Oooh, sleek looking headlights, SUV/stylish Alloys, rather than utilitarian steelies :hmmm: Looking forward to seeing this.
  9. Was the light steering a deal breaker? Was there changeable dynamics that could maybe make it heavier? :hmmm: The saloon is still my second fav tbh
  10. HB 2 anDy Here are actual scenes from the ongoing party: But seriously, happy birthday mate, I'd say have a great time but you've had your fair share of birthdays by now you old git, so I'm sure you know the drill :p If I see you in the 'tub at all during the next 24 hours I will not be amused.
  11. I do like the S3 the best but it's twice the price of your cheapest car there, which makes me think somewhere in the middle is where you're thinking? In which case, the A3 Saloon or the MK6 R. Not a fan of 3 door golfs.
  12. Introducing: The Nintendo Switch Nintendo first started giving us snippets of information on what their vision of the future might be in March 2016 when they announced the code-name of their next gaming console, the Nintendo NX. On the 20th October 2016 they unveiled that this console will in fact be called the Nintendo switch. Image credit: BBC Technology The Switch attempts to be the jack of all trades, but will it master any? It is essentially a tablet computer/console with removable controllers that slot into each side. You can see more on the Switch in the trailer below: I hope it isn't just me that gets a bit giddy and hyper when new games consoles are revealed, although come to think of it, that might just be down to the loud music and overly happy people in every gaming video. The games showcased in the video are: A new Skyrim game A new Zelda Game Some kind of Super Mario Mario Kart NBA2017 Splatoon What are your thoughts on the new Nintendo Switch? Will this be a bigger success than the Wii U, which to for all intents and purposes was a complete flop? Would you be interested in getting one? Let us know in the comments section below or on the Forum!
  13. Was bored so had a look through Autotrader at some rather cool cars: [h=1]£695,000 Mercedes-Benz S Class 6.0 S600 Maybach (B6/7 Armouring)[/h] Mercedes-Benz S Class 6.0 S600 Maybach 7G-Tronic Plus 4dr (start/stop) Shame about the wheels, but I imagine they're like that for the armouring purposes. [h=1]£269,990 Brabus B900 Rocket 6.0 S600 Maybach 7G-Tronic[/h] Mercedes-Benz S Class 6.0 S600 Maybach 7G-Tronic Plus 4dr (start/stop) Huge variation in price, surely it would cost less than £450,000 to make the Brabus B900 Rocket armoured? Perhaps not to the same level as the Armoured one above, but still, crazy price variation considering how much money has been spent on that Brabus. (Still ugly tho). --- Post Updated --- [h=1]£395,000 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage 4.0 2dr[/h] Aston Martin DB6 Vantage 4.0 2dr Restored, the most desirable colour for any DB# Aston :hmmm: I can't help but feel it's quite cheap? DB4s and DB5s are going for a hell of a lot more, surely it's only a matter of time before DB6s end up being worth 7 figures. Just look at it, if you were a multi millionaire, wouldn't you want one?
  14. Yeah I read through the price brochure and options list for the Amarok the other day and I think the facelift brings the Amarok into play as exactly what I was talking about in my last post. It's a shame it wasn't like that when it was first launched, definitely a huge mistake. The bi-xenons make such a difference. As for the GLT, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. As you said, you've just optioned up an Amarok to quite a crazy price, I wonder how the GLT will compare, maybe a new niche is being created. From what I've seen so far, I'd be having the VW.
  15. No one is intentionally ignoring this thread, someone will reply with the answer if and when they get to it, unfortunately I can't be of much help as I don't play TDU PC/TDU2 PC and never have :/
  16. I kinda like the idea of a pick up with a merc badge tbh  We've always had medium to big sized dogs in the family and I always plan to have one or two, a high spec 'GLT' with one of the bed cab things on the back would be a good family car :nods: Totally over the top and obnoxious, but that's me :cheeese:
  17. A whole year to wait >.< Then what, 2 years of RDR before the next GTA is even discussed? GTA VI in 2023? That said, I am very excited about this :cheeese: I'd quite like to play RDR again, been years since I played it and I can't remember the story.
  18. I went for the light interior as it's a GT car, the type I'd drive to the riviera and back, and I think the beige makes it a more pleasant place to be for long periods of time. I do like the cobalt blue colour but not on an Aston, unless it was a more radical Aston like the GT8 or Vantage V12 S, something less classy. Agreed on the DBS, but I think the slight dip in exterior wow-ness is made up for with the huge leap forward in interior tech. That said, a manual DBS in Quantum Silver and the automatic DB11 as specced above would make an amazing combination.
  19. I've always been quite undecided on the new Aston DB11, but after configuring one exactly how i'd do it I think i'm in love with it  Amazing configurator too: Aston Martin DB11 | Configure
  20. How different will this be from the Nissan? They seem to be doing a hell of a lot of testing and camouflage work for something that for all intents and purposes is just the Nissan with a 3 pointed star and new LED headlights (I presume). This GLT reminds me of the VW. I was looking at an Amarok earlier and I do like them, I've always loved the Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi L200 but they've always tried to find a niche inbetween normal civilian car and work-horse and ended up being the jack of all trades but master of none. The Amarok is closer to feeling like a proper car, with a proper interior, but the list of options available distances itself from the other VWs, an R-Line model and blingy parts might not be what a pickup needs but I think it would help sell Amaroks by the bucket load. The interior is fine, but the exterior needs better LED headlights and taillights etc. The GLT needs to remember that it is a Merc, and offer an options list that VW failed to offer with the Amarok. Why would someone buy it over the Nissan? Because they want the badge, so offer everything that should come with the badge. They already do that with the G.
  21. The G needs more than just big screens and quilted leather, it needs to find the right balance between its chassis' victorian architecture and modern technology :hmmm: That said, it's selling, why fix something that isn't broke I guess. The exterior needs a re-think as to how its LEDs/DRLs are integrated into the design too, the current ones look absolutely shocking.
  22. Just looks like a 5% more aggressive M-Sport body kit. The RS/AMG/M models should be trying to look a bit more cray and radical, It's okay knowing that a 520d owner wants his car to look like an M5 but an M5 owner does not want his car to look like a 520d, and although there are many more 520d owners out there, it is the M5 owner that is paying a lot more money for his car individually
  23. I think the new 5 series' biggest issue is that the next 3 series will look identical. Until they're both on the road together then the 5 will look rather fab.
