  1. Well what a race, unlucky Massa he deserved that win had a flawless race. Hamilton done well to salvage some points, be interesting to know why he got the puncture and whether it is his driving style or debris. Well done Timo on a podium and Kimi was lucky to get on there and he started to push to late in the race. Also had a few fires aswell to keep it interesting. All in all a good race.
  2. As I said above I have no idea to be honest, I'm trying to work out my finacial situation atm as I ain't getting the overtime anymore but am due a pay rise soon so once I've sorted that out I'd have a good idea. But realistcally to get what I want probably about £750 tops, but as I say it all depends, but when you's are looking don't just look for self build as I want to explore all avenues. Thanks RB, I'll have a proper look later one when I get some time to go through it properly.
  3. Also if you are under 18 your not allowed to work past 10pm by law or start before 7pm iirc, might have changed in the last 4years but that used to be the case.
  4. Thanks RB, the thing is I don;t have a budget as such. Also your talking to the person who has to get the best theres is even though there is something cheaper that does the job just as good. i.e. my tomtom is the tt920t, I could have got the tt720t but that hasn't got a remote control nor does it have a map of the USA. Have/Will I ever use the remote control, no, will I ever use the map of the USA or take my tomtom when I go there, no, but its nice to know I have it just incase. This is also the reason why when I spec an area 51 comp on Alienware it comes out to £6000. Anyways this is roughly what I'm after: Vista Ultimate (again premium will probably do) also I was tlkain to mellors and theres 2 versions one will recognise something and the other one you need to play with the bios which I dont really want to do. Quad core processor would be nice (pentium or AMD, I've only ever used pentium comps) 4gb RAM, unless you can have more now 500gb hdd (if you can get bigger fo not alot more then that'll be good, a terrabyte will never get used tho) A very good graphics card with full HD output. A very good DVD RW drive with good speeds (not bothered about HD-DVD or Blu Ray) Card reader lots of ports and a good case with a huge fan (to keep it cool) lots of LED lights I don't want alot, lol. I'll post a pic of a case I like later as I know roughly what I want (use alien ones as a guide)
  5. That not be good so have you delted it?? Also how do they know if it is still on your comp unlesss they are hacking into it, in which case isn't that illegal?? But most would back there stuff up on an external drive or burn it to disc then delete it. Also how do they know if it is still on your comp
  6. Never even heard of Zoostorm before, its also got a shorter warrenty and less stuff on it. Still not exactly sure what to do. I want to explore evry avenue even self build but not to sure. I'm very tempted to save and get an alien but with them you are paying well over the odds for the name.
  7. Illegal downloads: which ISP's customers are the worst? 2:34PM, Thursday 31st July 2008 New research has shown that the customers of just three of Britain's leading ISPs are responsible for more than 60% of illegal downloads. Internet intelligence firm, Envisional, has been tracking music torrent downloads for the past couple of months, analysing the IP address of those downloading and uploading content and matching it to their ISP. The company traced more than 28,000 unique IP addresses in June alone and found that 22.6% of them were Carphone Warehouse customers, with 21.6% from Virgin Media and 21.2% from BT. July's figures are very similar, with Virgin Media customers accounting for 22.8% of the total, BT 21.5% and Carphone Warehouse at 21.4%. Envisional concedes, however, the sampling errors could easily account for any difference between the two sets of data. The figures show why the Government and the BPI were so keen to strike < last week's deal with Britain's six leading ISPs, which included all three of those mentioned above. The statistics also cast some doubt over the agreement to send hundreds of thousands of letters to customers of the six ISPs, warning those who have been accused of conducting illegal file sharing. Virgin started sending out letters in June as part of an earlier agreement with the BPI, but it appears to have had no effect on the level of illegal downloads made by its customers. However, as Envisional's head of piracy intelligence, Dr David Price, told PC Pro, "Virgin only sent out 800-1,000 letters. It was only hitting a small amount of customers." "The bigger question is whether the mass letter writing we're going to see over the next few months will have an effect," he said. And Price is in no doubt that the ISPs will have to do more than send out letters to appease the Government and the music industry. "The Government has said you [the ISPs and the music industry] have to come up with an agreement," he said. "If they don't make this deal, the Government's going to legislate something on top of them."
  8. I read that site Baldy and the reviews seem half and half. I know what your saying Iced the trouble is the named brands with that sort of spec are about a £1000 and I can't justify spending that on a PC. I may just be looking in the wrong place for them i.e. PC World and I would self build but then I'll just go stupid like when I spec cars on the net. plus anywhere that does sell named brands always do them with monitors and the like which is an expense I could do with out (plus I ain't got the room for one, not with my TV). If anyone has any alternatives please suggest as I do want to get one as I'm getting bored of the 360 and I want to start modding games.

  15. Original Story: Lambaarrrghini BOOZED-UP driver wrecked a £250,000 Lamborghini after a group of friends hired a fleet of supercars for a wedding. The pals, in their late 20s, necked strong cider in a pub before racing off along a country lane in three 210mph Lambo Murcielagos and a £137,000 Bentley Continental. But one lost control 600 yards from the boozer and smashed into a tree. The mangled motor – which can do 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds – rebounded into the road and blocked it, but its driver leaped out and was whisked away by his pals before police arrived. The sharp-suited group of Asian-looking men called at The Cider House in Wooton, Shrops, on Sunday evening. They told fellow drinkers they had been to a wedding reception, had hired the cars for £5,000 each for the weekend and had driven them at up to 160mph. They showed off by revving engines and performing doughnuts in the car park before roaring away. Plumber Jon Hingley, 36, said: “I was sitting having a beer and you could hear the noise of the engines coming down the road. They pulled into the car park and were showing off revving and red-lining their engines. “They were in the bar downing pints of cider and bragging about how they had been racing and one of them had got the car up to 160mph. “They were all in ties and suits like they had been to a wedding reception.” John added: “I left on my bike and they came screaming past. Then three of the cars flew back, obviously because the road was blocked by the crashed Lambo. They were driving extremely fast and dangerously. “Then I came across the car lying in the middle of the road. There were people standing round it taking bits off and sitting in it. “It was a total wreck, all smashed up down one side.” Cops are trying to trace the driver and his friends http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1482299.ece Latest Story: Lambo mob smashed 5 cars BOOZED-UP wedding guests wrote off a £150,000 silver Lamborghini and smashed up FOUR other supercars in a 72-hour orgy of destruction. The boy racers hired six top motors on Friday for the wedding and hared around Birmingham later that day. They wrecked a Ferrari on Saturday after smashing into another of the cars. The Lamborghini — one of three rented — was totalled when it hit a tree in Bridgnorth, Shrops, on Sunday. The damaged cars were a £125,000 Bentley Continental GT, a £150,000 Ferrari F430, and three Lamborghini Gallardo-Spiders. Only an £80,000 Audi R8 escaped unscathed. Pearl Rentals of Wembley, North London, confirmed yesterday that several of their cars had been damaged. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1488331.ece
  16. From The Sun (Pics in link): Sheikh flies Lamborghini 6,500 miles to Britain for oil change A RICH Arab sent his Lamborghini on a 6,500-mile round trip to Britain for a service. The £190,000 supercar was put on a scheduled flight from Qatar to Heathrow – then flown BACK after the oil check. Money was no object as the flight would have cost the owner – thought to be a Sheikh – around £20,000. The move sparked fury from green campaigners. An airport worker said: “This car doesn’t have a carbon footprint – more of a crater.” The overall cost of sending the Lamborghini to London for the oil change would have cost more than £23,000. His black-and-gold supercar costs £3,552 to service at an approved dealer – on top of the £20,000 to freight from Qatar to Britain. The Murciélago LP640 – driven by Batman in movie The Dark Knight – arrived from the Middle Eastern country on Friday. It cleared customs and was trucked to specialist mechanics in London for the service. On Monday it was flown back 3,250 miles to the oil-rich state where it was collected by the owner. A cargo handler at Heathrow blasted the car’s environmental damage. He said: “It would have been far more efficient to fly mechanics out there.” Horrifies And Jenny Evans, of pressure group Plane Stupid, said: “This horrifies me. It is another example of how rich people exploit and pollute the planet because of their money.” She said the role of the super-wealthy in climate change was not properly recognised – while poor people were rapped for going on holiday. Friends of the Earth’s transport campaigner Richard Dyer said: “Flying a car thousands of miles for a service is ludicrous when planes are one of the most polluting ways to transport goods. We urge the individual to get their car serviced closer to home.” But David Price, of Lamborghini Club UK, said: “If an owner wants to service his car in that way, it is his choice. “I’m not surprised. Thankfully the age of excess in some areas continues.” Lamborghini UK spokeswoman Juliet Jarvis said there could be “kudos” for a Middle Eastern owner in servicing a car in London. She said the exclusive Italian brand had a network of authorised dealers around the world – and most cars were looked after in the country where they were bought. But she added: “This sort of thing is not unheard of.” Qatar Airways confirmed it carried the Lamborghini. The cars are popular with celebs including Rod Stewart and David Beckham. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1493291.ece
  17. From BTYahoo news and eurosport: Schumacher hits pedestrian with van Eurosport - Thu, 31 Jul 15:26:00 2008 Formula One legend Michael Schumacher hit a pedestrian while driving a Fiat Ducato van in Kent on Sunday. The German struck car dealer Martin Kingham while overtaking an elderly lady driver on his way to a private airfield. Martin Kingham was closing a security gate when Schumacher, who has appeared in adverts driving a Fiat van, made contact, leaving Kingham startled but unhurt. "I was putting the security bars up outside the garage before going home," Kingham told the Daily Mirror. "I have to stand on the edge of the road and keep an eye on traffic. "Out of nowhere I heard a bang from behind me. It spun me round and I was thrown forward on to my face, hitting the bonnet of a parked van. Then I saw a big blue van go by and realised they'd hit me. I thought I recognised the driver, but my head was spinning." Kingham claims Schumacher reacted furiously, blaming him for the accident. "He was screaming, 'What the f*****g hell were you doing in the road?' He seemed cross, as if I was in the wrong. I called the police," he said. Schumacher passed a breathalyser test before Kingham was told who was at the wheel of the van. "The officers asked me to wait in my office while they spoke to him," he said. "An officer came in and said 'This guy's claiming to be Michael Schumacher'. Then another told us she'd seen his ID and it was him. "Try telling people you were hit by Michael Schumacher and see what response you get. My wife thought I was winding her up. I guess it shows once a racing driver, always a racing driver. The old ladies were probably only doing 30mph and he fancied his chances. "He probably wasn't expecting me to be in the road. Still, I'm lucky to be in one piece and I suppose it's a great story, so no harm done." A spokesperson for Schumacher confirmed the incident and said the former Ferrari man had co-operated fully with police at the scene. Alex Chick / Eurosport
