  1. I have some absolutely stunning sunset landscape shots over a body of water, but since it's already been done here, I think i'll enter with something different... Like a water rocket being fired! http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/IMG_2994edit.jpg
  2. No, you're just a nut. What Sponge meant was that from a distance, it's very easy to mistake an M3 for a regular 3-series, i.e. a regular compact exec car, whereas for a Corvette, you'll always know it's a fast sports car, regardless if it's the C6 or Z06
  3. Think I'll have the 'Vette. More style and more pace
  4. Check this out. I think it looks utterly jaw dropping http://www.toxel.com/tech/2009/08/30/fuel-efficient-sports-car-from-bmw/ http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/241018/bmw_vision_concept.html http://blogs.thecarconnection.com/marty-blog/1034741_frankfurt-auto-show-bmw-vision-efficientdynamics-concept Basically, it's the M3 of the future (maybe), with a 1.5L 3-cyl turbodiesel engine paired with two electric motors to produce 350bhp. It's light too (for a car with electric motors and batteries), at just under 1400kg - thanks to an aluminium chassis and bodyshell, and polycarbonate windscreen, roof and doors - so it'd be pretty quick as well. Have I also mentioned how utterly amazing it looks? If diesel-electric sports cars can look this good, then BRING ON THE FUTURE I say!
  5. I'll have the old one please... I think having 4WD is quite important if you intend to tune and mod your Jap Import car, as most people invariably do with Eclipses
  6. This is hardly a fair fight! These cars aren't even in the same class as each other! One's a super expensive high-performance GT, the other's just a wannabe muscle car! Aston FTW!
  7. Way too popular, IMO. It's just way to difficult sifting through the entries to pick a winner. And having so many entries means the votes are spread so evenly across the board, it's usually almost impossible to pick a clear winner. I miss the good ol' days :(
  8. Means exactly what you said: If someone else bought him the car, or if he won it in a contest, etc etc
  9. Exactly! That's what I'd do if I could drive that sort of car :D
  10. Sadly, we dont get BTCC in this part of the world. Even more sadly, BTCC isn't what it used to be as of 10 years ago :(
  11. Ooh, looks cool. What sort of game is it? FPS? If it isn't then I don't think I'll bother. My dad might be interested though, he played Mass Effect all the way through
  12. Well to each his own... I also think it's the worst 'Stang, but it does make me happy to see all these obscure cars finally being included in the game
  13. BIG shame that Button and Hamilton got knocked out on the first lap, but then again, they haven't had much pace this weekend so it's not much of a loss. Unlike Fisichella though, whose car was really sticking onto the back of Kimi's (KERS-equipped) car. Absolutely stunning performance from the little Italian! I was really hoping Kimi would spin on the oil left on the track by Barichello's Brawn though... Although it catching fire at the end in the pitlane was pretty amusing...
  14. So I may be wrong about the "more people like Skylines" bit :D
  15. Hey, don't kid yourself... As far as handling goes, most car mags actually rate it really highly, even if it's more sports car than muscle car in terms of feel...
  16. I heard of a guy who had an M5, then swapped out the badge and put "518i" on it. The funniest thing is, there's no such thing as a 518! LOL
  17. Oh god Balto this is REALLY tough... The XK is a thing of beauty but the Camaro is just so much cooler... I think I'd have to go for the Chevy, I just can't resist those looks. And the prospect of dropping in the 7.0L V8 from the 'Vette Z06
  18. You know, you could just curse and swear a lot, and go hunt down the offending pothole and blow it up... Oh hang on, that'll make it worse...
  19. :bump: Two Nissan techno mini-supercars Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) Nissan Fairlady 300ZX (Z32) I like both, but ultimately my heart rests on the 300ZX. The Skyline is liked and revered by too many people. I like that the 300ZX is a bit more left-field and is imo the better looker. Plus, it's a targa!
  20. Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I'd say you're most definitely in the minority here...
  21. Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8228179.stm Final Results: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/results/8225297.stm Utterly AMAZING result from Fisichella and Force India. I think "suprise" is most definitely an understatement. Complete kudos to them, and let's hope that they can finally score some manufacturer points. Who knows? Maybe they could even score a podium? <crosses fingers>
  22. I tried it before, a few years ago. Neighbour lent it to me, and i think he still has it To be honest, it's not a very game. None of the cars are licensed (though they greatly resemble real life ones), and their handling physics are way off. Graphics weren't great either It was pretty interesting though, i'll give it that. Modding your ride is very very realistic in the way you buy parts (i.e. boring if you're not a complete car nut). For example if you wanted to change your vehicle's rims, you had to find the exact same tire size as well, down to the rim size and even tire width! For other parts you had to find the ones for your exact model, because there were a few versions of each car, with different engines. Even something as simple as paint had quite a twist. Sure, you could paint the whole car, as per almost every other game, but you also had the option of painting every single body panel a different colour! Can't really remember much else from the little that I played those years ago. I don't think you'll have much fun with it, since modding cars (which i suppose is the highlight of the game) requires you to actually go racing to get the money, but it is pretty fascinating. Now that you mention it, I think i might even give it another go, now that i have a much greater working knowledge of cars...
