Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit by Criterion
Car Freak replied to Rai06's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Mmmmmmmmm memories... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHw2z9478bU On that note, check out what I got last week: http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/IMG_0694.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/IMG_0695.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/IMG_0696.jpg Got them off eBay because (re)discovering the NFS 2 and 3 music made me all nostalgic... NFS II was the first computer game I ever played (i think i was 6 then), so this holds a special place in my heart edit: what the funk? I resized the pics to 640x480 in my PB but they're still showing up here as 800x600... What the hell's going on? -
Ok, not that looks scary
-
Perhaps not the most appropriate place to post this, but I was wondering if any of you knew about this: http://kotaku.com/5631947/company-of-heroes-dev-gave-his-life-to-save-his-family

In Singapore, that Civic truly is the best you can hope for at this price level... One reason for our EXTREMELY limited selection of older (i.e. cheap) vehicles is probably this: less than 3% of Singapore's entire car population (587,840 cars) is more than 10 years old, while 78% are less than 5 years old

£3500 = SGD7300 Hence, i'd enter this: http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=118666&DL=1352 Although for this price, i'd only be able to drive it for another year before the government forces me to scrap it or pay another $30k to keep it on the road

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit by Criterion
Car Freak replied to Rai06's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Oh hush.... The premise of this game is already way better than the crud we've been getting for the past few years -
Nice, I like open ended themes
-
Nuts. The things you can find over there are so much better than here in Singapore :(
-
Really? I would've thought that Donington rewards power, and doesn't require so much agility, due to most corners being long and sweeping...
-
Wow, all of you seem to be putting a lot of faith in the Elise's weeny 1.6L engine...
-
It took a bit of effort, but I managed to do a totally non-rice car in NFSU2! :D http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/42389.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/42386.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/42387.jpg

Another one from Autocar, this time, which do you think will be the fastest over a single lap on the Donington short (National) circuit, on a dry sunny day? These are the contenders: Renault Megane 250 Cup Noble M600 Mercedes SLS Jaguar XJ Supercharged Ferrari 458 VW Scirocco R Lotus Elise (base model) Lotus Evora Porsche 911 GT3 RS Alpina B5 S Here's the original link: http://www.autocar.co.uk/blogs/anythinggoes/archive/2010/09/03/quot-what-s-fastest-quot-the-sequel.aspx And here's a vid of the circuit in question: My predictions? 1) Ferrari 458 2) Noble M600 3) Porsche GT3 RS 4) Mercedes SLS 5) Jaguar XJ 6) Lotus Evora 7) Alpina B5 8) VW Scirocco R 9) Renaultsport Megane 250 10) Lotus Elise

Built really tough, and with a big boot. AFAIK, those are the main reasons for the Crown Vic's long service life -

You have a point, but I think this is one fault I can forgive. The pursuit does look pretty good -
Man, I MUST drop by for a visit if I'm ever in the area...

'twas certainly an interesting race. The unpredictable weather is what makes Spa so brilliant... I loved it when those 10+ cars speared off at the Bus Stop on the first lap, though I do feel sorry for Barrichello for crashing out on his 300th race (same for DC on his final race 2 years ago but there you go). Mad props to Kubica, that Renault does look impressive, but again, shame he messed up his pit stop. Sutil also did a good job for 5th, and brilliant comebacks by Schumi and Petrov into the points And Hammy indeed FTW :D

Hmmm it's an automatic :( New rims look good though Was this a runner when you got it, and what engine's it got?
-
Thanks for the votes guys. I voted for Hedge; most creative and most effort put in
-
Neither did the original link... :/

Ah, but that was over a shorter distance... Anyway, the results have been released: 1 Noble M600 173.8mph/20.00sec 2 Ferrari 458 Italia 163.9mph/20.33sec 3 Porsche 911 Turbo S 163.2mph/20.05sec 4 Mercedes SLS 161.1mph/21.22sec 5 Lexus LFA 157.9mph/21.55sec 6 Nissan GT-R 153.9mph/21.65sec 7 Audi R8 V10 Spyder 152.1mph/22,05sec 8 Ariel Atom 245 128.0mph/22.84sec http://www.autocar.co.uk/blogs/stillatthewheel/archive/2010/08/27/what-s-fastest-the-results.aspx Looks like I only got 4 correct... Was quite surprised to find the SLS going faster than the LF-A
-
Apparently, the other cars, as well as the full result, are only in the magazine... Can anyone pick up a copy and let the rest of us know?
