  1. Here's my Lexus IS350, sponsored by Yokohama (naturally):
  2. I like the premise of Mafia II, but in terms of controls and such, I think GTAIV is just that bit more polished. The camera movements in the demo were really wonky and I had bit of a headache by the time I got to the end. The controls with a Xbox360 gamepad just aren't really good
  3. Wait, this is CMoTW, not SoTW... The car shouldn't have to be drifting, but it does need to be something that can be used to drift...
  4. I think you guys have to bear in mind though, it's not who crosses the finish line first, it's who's going fastest as they cross the finish line. After giving it a bit more thought, i've tweaked my list a little bit: 1. Noble M600 2. Ferrari 458 3. Porsche 911 Turbo S 4. Lexus LF-A 5. Audi R8 V10 6. Mercedes SLS 7. Nissan GT-R 8. Ariel Atom
  5. How's this? :D http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p265/1carfreak1/Model%20Cars/IMG_0426photoshop.jpg
  6. Meh. I liked the original Vincero better:
  7. So I have (week 33)... Nrrrrrrg.
  8. <entry not allowed, looking for different picture>
  9. An interesting question I saw on an Autocar blog just now; which of the following do you think will have the highest terminal speed (not quite the same as fastest time) over a standing kilometre? Nissan GT-R, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Ferrari 458 Italia, Mercedes SLS, Lexus LF-A, Ariel Atom 245, Noble M600, Audi R8 V10 You can read Steve Sutcliffe's blog here: http://www.autocar.co.uk/blogs/anythinggoes/archive/2010/08/24/what-s-fastest-get-your-guesses-in.aspx Really is a good question to think about, and I for one, have no idea which way it'll go. My guess is (from quickest to slowest): 1. Noble M600 2. Ferrari 458 3. Porsche 911 Turbo S 4. Audi R8 V10 5. Lexus LF-A 6. Nissan GT-R 7. Mercedes SLS 8. Ariel Atom Let's see who get's closest to the actual answer, eh? Results will be released on Autocar's website on Friday...
  10. I think this might be the first time someone's attempted something like this here at TDUC... Good luck, and I'll be following this with interest :D
  11. I agree with everyone else so far. Front's not good but the rear is better. My favourite bit of the design are the rear haunches - does look purposeful, especially from the 2nd pic
  12. Do note that this competition is more about how good your car looks, not how good your photo looks, so if you enter a pic where we can't see much of the car, that's hardly going to help your cause...
  13. I like that. A lot. Maybe not the best looking design, but I definitely appreciate the hard work and creativity that went into this
  14. Nuts! I had a really appropriate Silvia on NFS:PS until the stupid savegame got corrupted
  15. Have fun y'all... I'm in my final year of the IBDP, with the big exams in November. After that it's two years doing National Service (i.e. conscription), and only then can I go to Uni. That's a good thing I suppose, since at this stage I haven't decided what I want to do with my life
  16. Heh, I'll say I suck at Shift because I don't like it... Anyway, here's hoping Hot Pursuit turns out nothing like Shift
  17. Skills? Heh, maybe my skills are attuned too much towards proper race sims. I seem to have no problem whatsoever with rFactor and Live for Speed. Hell, in June I took part in a race simulator driving competition (rFactor), and won tickets to the Singapore F1 race! And arcade games? Blur I can do well, NFS MW and Carbon I could do well, DiRT 2 I can do well, and I even held the world record timing for a few of the time trial tracks. And I have the screenshots to prove it. I'm sorry, Shift is just not a very good driving game...
  18. What good mods for rFactor are there that, in your opinion, cannot be missed? Quite a number of cars I've tried at a friend's place either don't work, or have slightly wonky handling (Much appreciated if you can give me the link as well) And Kelv, EPIC oversteering pics... Sierra Cossie FTW!
  19. But Shift in itself wasn't very realistic at all. Ok, I'll admit the graphics and sounds are very good, but I've said this before and I'll say it again: the driving physics SUCK. Some of the rest of you mentioned Undercover was like driving a boat? Shift is like driving a very understeery slot-car. The back end steps out so easily under normal cornering (strangely not oversteering), which makes it VERY difficult to get a good line through a turn. Then the moment you try to powerslide the car, it either spins, or you try and correct it and it spears off to the side. And why do all the tracks seem so freaking bumpy? I've never tried any mods for Shift (I don't own a copy), but of all the times I've played it, not one of them was on Easy mode. Most times I played, I chose the most difficult setting. And it still wasn't much fun. Very hard to get corner entry speed + turn in correct. And all this while using a G25
