That was a most bizzare race. What really struck me though was that if they had continued running, I'm pretty sure all the drivers would have immense difficulty keeping up with the Safety Car. That track was so badly flooded, I think even a regular Evo or Impreza STi wouldn't have much trouble keeping up...

Thanks Bobby, that looks like a massive improvement. Er, I have no idea why Flickr resized my image so drastically, so i think i'll have to email it to people who would be willing to help me. Original dimensions are 3888x2592, which means it's much too big to attach to this post either. I also have other pictures of the cars in question where you can see the parts obscured, i.e. the front wing of the Force India and the wheel of the BMW, and the angle from which the shot is taken is quite similar as well. We were being thrashed in the first 2/3rds of the game, until I managed (by luck and a sly bit of camping) to get a heli. Which led to more helis, then more helis then even more helis. About 6 in total :p

Even though I'm a big fan of the Charger, Challenger and all Muscle cars in general, I seriously don't think they can be classified as beautiful in the strictest sense. They're striking and imposing for sure, but not beautiful. I think it's all to do with him having a car capable of winning races right from the start of his career. Also because his road to F1 was more interesting than most others, what with that incident with Ron Dennis when he was 13, which is basically the pinnacle of chasing one's dream (this is probably also the main reason why i like him so much). In any case, I think I remember in 2004 that Button was also the golden boy after his string of poles and podiums, and he was even hailed as a future world champ... Basically Hamilton is so famous and adored mostly because of how much the press played it up, not so much him as a person...

Loving the lack of no adverts? Anyway, epic race. Like Iced said, not so good first half, stunning second half. I think Hamilton is VERY lucky to have been able to make the 14 places, especially in the light of his car's lack of performance. Vettel's and Kubica's last min shocker though, well what were they thinking? I mean it was brilliant for the spectators, but as a driver they should know better than to lunge like that, or at least back off for the next few corners. Must say though, was very funny seeing Vettel on 3 wheels holding everyone else back during the safety car period. Would he have been allowed to finish the race on 3 wheels though? Earth Hour passed 2.5 hrs ago, and my family did observe it. We switched off all the lights and electrical appliances and took a stroll around the neighbourhood. Glad to say we did a little bit more than other people who still leave their computers or TVs on ^_^

... And unveils a new model! This time a luxury 4dr saloon, which I must say, looks extremely good, with hints of Aston DB9, Maser Quattroporte and GranTurismo. Oh and lots of apparent "influence" from the Jag XF. Well, looks quite a bit prettier than the XF imo... Anyway, prices seem to be on par for high-spec 5-series/E-Class money. Which is good.
