i'm kinda surprised to see an atari logo on the box at all tbh... i'm also expecting that to have changed to a nbp logo by shelf time...

didn't i hear that the photo mode in forza 3 made the game look better than it really is? maybe there's something similar in play here?

i never liked how having two modes of physics split the userbase. having everyone on the same playing field would be a plus in my book.

i'm surprised talk of the beta has been allowed. but while i'm here - there are alot of things about the footage i've seen that i hope are corrected for release. does feel like it has tdu1 running through it's veins though which is nice :)

only lost my save once :) it's rare that money gives this much value. 4 years and still playing. 20p on space harrier at newquay comes in a second for value - i played for about 15mins on a full hydraulic cabinet. at this point the game was only 9 years old. if mario can get all swept away with being 25 surely so can 'harri'?

atari's eu forums are closing shop. i'd be less bothered if namco bandai partners the company taking it's place seemed to care about european tdu players. but as of yet they haven't set aside room for such. here's a link to the announcement: http://forums.eu.atari.com/announcement.php?f=450 i'd have preferred this go in the tdu news section but current restrictions prevent me from doing so. perhaps a mod can move it over?

if you really are elite - what's wrong with being rewarded for it? some on tdu1 really deserved to be treated better... i'm not saying anyone lucky enough to be in the beta should be given more ontop of just being in. i'm saying those that prove they are exceptional get rewarded. 90% of the time in tdu1 you're encountering players you've never met before and (on 360 at least) they can be the most disrespectfull big mouthed idiots. it all ads up to tdu2 being a much more singular experience too and surely that can only be a good thing? *please stay calm everyone this post is not intended to offend :)

just read leads post also and agree it sounds a bit harsh - you can't expect all game companies to work at the same pace style or efficiency and this goes double for anyone associated with atari. truth is they're making alot less of a mess of things than they were in the 80s and 90s :)

might actually buy nfs: hp now though :D it's more win than fail for me :)

haven't read all of this thread but a thought accurs: wether the beta has started or not only concerns those that are in it... and they can't say right? doesn't that make this thread kinda mute? :s
