well i agree with the upgrade of it and thats why im going to do it, after all i spend bloody thousands on my rig so it can only help, its just that im on the lowest core2duo at the moment and dont have any trouble playing anything but crysis at max settings, but this said i still can run quite high on it. which makes the cpu upgrade seem shall we say less needed when i compare it to things like gimicky triplehead..
but i was thinking about a quad core, but again not many games out they at the moment that fully use these chips as they can be, and crysis designed to be optimal on quad cores has created some rather disapointing results in a few cases.
might do some research on those new upcoming chips you mention when im finished here though..
PS i already know the 780i and 680i motherboards are supported in tri sli (using 8800GTX and ULTRAGPUs) and i already own the 680i motherboard, so im good to go there at least.
